I did a ridiculous amount of research when it came time to purchase a high chair for my son (I'm talking months of research.) He is on a medical diet for a rare genetic inborn error of metabolism, so we are serious about having a safe and supportive food/eating environment in our household. The Tripp Trapp is hands-down the best baby hair chair available. It's pricey, but we were willing to pay this chair's premium price because of a few key features. First, and most importantly, it puts babies in the perfect 90-degree angle-aligned position to focus on eating and provides proper foot support, two key elements to prevent choking. It is highly customizable for height and seat depth, so nearly every baby can find a comfortable position in this chair. Those customizations in seat position grow with your kiddo until they are ready to move on to a typical chair at your dinner table. So if you divide the price by years of use compared to a traditional high chair style, this beats everything on the market. It's easy to clean, comes in tons of colors and styles, and it has very few plastic parts to break or wear down (People literally pass this chair down to their children and grandchildren like an heirloom, so less plastic chair garbage in the landfill and better for the environment.) Lastly, it has a small footprint that tucks right up under our dining table, so no tripping over the back of the chair when trying to walk past with a full plate of your own food. I could go own, but at the risk of sounding like a planted reviewer for Tripp Trapp, I will wrap this up — Get this chair! It's worth it — one of the best investments you can make in your child's relationship with food. Plus, you can get a considerable amount of reward dollars from Albee when buying it, so you can put those dollars toward other essential baby purchases.

We purchased this for our first born and we love it! He is a big boy wearing 12 months+ clothes at 6 months so it’s a little difficult to get him in the chair at times but we love how he can sit at the table with us right from the start.

At first, I wasn’t a fan of the Tripp Trapp. I didn’t understand why everyone was so obsessed with it and the price seemed very elevated. I decided to buy it because it was highly recommended for BLW and I JUST LOVE IT! And my baby loves it even more!

We love this chair. The walnut matches our other chairs and it forms a nice part of our kitchen. I wish the baby set straps had more space for taller toddlers. Our son is 2 and we removed the baby seat and tray and now he uses it at the table. Easy for him to climb up and down. We are having twins and will purchase 2 more Stokke Tripp Trapp chairs.

Love this highchair! The straps can be a little difficult, otherwise its great. Cushions and straps are easy to clean, most messes can be wiped off with a washcloth. The anti-tip extenders work well.

Love this high chair as it matches my black modern farmhouse kitchen chairs. Was looking for something that looked like it belonged in my kitchen and grows with your child and this worked out perfectly.

The chair was not too hard to put together but it took a bit trial and error to get it right. I've had this for a few weeks now and have found it to be an excellent chair for feedings for our 6 month old daughter. We are still figuring out the straps which so far do not seem very functional.

This fits my child better than the regular old high chair. He is more comfortable and is able to put his feet on a flat surface

Love this high chair! Easy to clean and my petite baby girl can sit fully upright vs. slumped down like other high chairs. Grandma has two other high chairs for her house and condo, but and I prefer ours. Grows with your child, looks great, and is better for them.

GET THIS CHAIR. You won’t regret it! It’s so adjustable that you can get a comfy fit even for little 4-6 month olds just learning to eat, but also for big kids. I almost love it more for my toddler, because he can sit right at the table at the perfect height for him, without dangling legs! I took the cushion off and he seems to find it just as comfy, but it’s easier (way easy) to wipe clean. I’ve seen complaints that it doesn’t hold babies upright, but it’s not meant for little babies that can’t sit up on their own yet. I love that the harness fits in a way that my daughter is safe while still being able to move around to grab food and spit things out as needed. I have two of these and I expect to be using them until my kids are tall enough for their feet to touch the floor in a regular chair. And honestly I’ll probably still use them without the foot rest because they’re just cool looking chairs.

As a registered nurse, I work with a lot of occupational therapists and dietitians that agree that a good high chair is one of the keys to success when feeding a baby. It’s not a secret that teaching your baby how to eat for the first time can be both a rewarding and stressful experience for everyone. But this is the perfect height for meal times with the family with relatively easy clean up. The foot rest makes it easy for the chair to grow with your baby and keeps their legs from getting fatigued. Dangling legs can cause a baby to get fussy and lose interest in their food more quickly like in other high chairs. My daughter also enjoys trying to stand up in her chair, so I’m very grateful for all the safety features like the 5-point harness and the anti-tip extended glider.

My granddaughter loves her chair especially loves she can sit up at the table with everyone. She is 21 months!!

It is a great high chair for my baby. It helps my baby to maintain a good seating pose while she sits on it. Also, it is really easy to clean this chair because it is made out of wood.

We like this high chair overall, especially the lack of toxic chemicals which was the most important thing to us. The straps for the high chair are a little awkward and I'm still not sure why they are placed so high up in the front of the baby. Also don't like the acrylic coating on the baby mat/cover.

This is one of my favorite baby purchases. We use it daily from 6 months on with my first, and for my second, we even got the newborn attachment to start from day 1! This chair blends so well with our dining room table and doesn't take up much room. It's so easy to clean. We have drug it all over our house and brought it outside several times with no issues. Can't recommend this seat enough!

If you are considering doing any form of baby led weaning when you are introducing solids this is the high chair for you. It is so important to have the babies feet flat and knees at a 90 deg angle. With the adjustable food rest this allows you to do just that. And it grows with the child so you dont have to worry about buying a booster seat because this works as one as well. BUY THIS!

I have now purchased 6 of these Tripp Trap chairs. Yes, 6. I am that sold on them!! Easy to clean, look great and kids happily sit in them for longer periods than other chairs we have bought. Purchased two for ourselves as the twin grand babies came along 2 years ago. Saved my back and put two hungry infants at the right height for me to bottle feed them at the same time. As they are now 2 1/2, they climb right up when they come to Mimi’s house. Daughter saw how much more supportive these were and wanted her own set. Best friend had her first grand and I bought one for her. Says it has saved her from back strain and the grandson stays happy in the kitchen while she cooks . New grand baby is coming in October and her chair has been bought. Suspect I will be buying another for the December baby too.

We have finally found a high chair that is easy to clean. After having two other high chairs that we had to take apart to get clean. A few swipes with a wet cloth and it is clean. This high chair is a dream. It is sturdy and well built, as well as good looking.

I got two other highchairs from family and friends and Stokke Tripp Trapp is by far the best. Baby can sit upright, no awkward leaning to the back and the adjustable seat makes it easy to lower the foot area when baby grows. This will be his chair for the next 10 years. Sturdy and pretty.

I love love love this high chair. especially for the age range of 6mos to about 14 mos depending on the size of your child. The way it keeps your child sitting in such a great posture with their feet flat and knees bent at 90 degrees made feeding soooo much better for us. I had another high chair that she could not really sit straight up in and was slouching in most of the time. buying this high chair was like night and day. I also like that I can adjust the chair with her as she grows. HOWEVER, once your child gets too big for the baby-seat/tray thing, you cannot adjust the seat up or down, the seat can only stay at the same setting as a small child if you want to use the tray. you cannot use the tray without the baby-seat which is a huge disappointment. So now my daughter is 21 months old, she has not fit into the babyseat since she was about 15 months old (give or take) even though it says it fits a child up to 30 months. However she is still too little to go without a baby seat and being buckled in, so now we have a bouncing toddler with a "big kid" seat (because we were forced to remove the tray) and she likes to be standing in her seat while eating and climbing everywhere, etc. not really safe for this "in between" age. They need to make a tray/baby seat that actually does accommodate an older child and then the chair would be great. If you asked me would I buy this chair again. YES, I LOVED it that much. I still love it. Pretty soon she will be able to sit in it properly. I still like it better than a traditional high chair, especially for when she was younger, but am a little disappointed about the baby seat not fitting her. One more thing, onne of the many things I do like about it, is how easy to clean it is.

This is a great seat as far as it being sturdy. But what it doesn’t explain is that you need to have the baby seat part in for the tray to work. And if you have the baby seat in, you have to have the seat at the highest level. It doesnt really work well if you have an older kid that still needs a tray because you cant adjust the butt. The tray is so low it sits on their lap

This chair is crazy simple to assemble. It cleans down well after baby smears food everywhere! All the pieces attach/detach easily. It's also very easy to adjust to fit your baby well. I love that the versatility and ease to fit your baby through many stages.

I chose this high chair because it’s good for baby’s posture, as we want a sit- up baby front the beginning. Also, the foot rest is important for longer time sitting. A lifetime usage is definitely a bonus. So far , I love it

I had been looking for deals, and this was the best I could find (I searched FB/Craigslist but couldn't find the color I wanted). So far, we like this high chair better than the one we had. Our little one sits better in it and we like the adjustable footrest. Not sure if worth the high price tag. Don't love how difficult it is to clean underneath the tray.
