We registered for this unit because of the great reviews. It worked great for the first 3 months. The last 2 months the smart audio puck is very poor in connecting to the camera. The unit says its connected but no sound comes through. It works randomly through the night. My child ends up almost screaming by the time we hear him. We have since been using our phone to connect to the camera. Which works fine but not why we purchased this product.

When it works the quality is amazing. Otherwise never wants to connect, goes offline every couple hours and I have to unplug and plug back in for it to work. Finally had to buy a different one that is wayyyyy cheaper and actually stays connected.

I wouldn't But this monitor simply because the range doesn't let me far without cutting in and out . If I'm sleeping at night it Constantly cuts out which makes me so nervous I won't her my son of 2 months . It always tells me that it will connect in a different way 3G and data rates may apply . I don't care about data rates I just want to safely see and hear my son without it cutting out while I'm trying to rest myself . Very frustrating , I've troubleshooted as well to make it stop .

This monitor seemed great when researching but it is extremely unreliable. I have a small house and the monitor kept having issues connecting to the WIFI and therefore would not work in my sons room. I had to purchase another monitor. I decided to try it out again and set it up in my family room so I could keep an eye on my son when I had to leave the room. Now, the monitor is set up right next to our WIFI box and finally worked - until the app was updated. Now that the app was updated, it says I need to update the firmware on the camera in order for the camera to work. The issue is the update keeps erroring out, and therefore I cannot use the camera. I tried their help text service, and the person communicating with me said "it is likely just an error you are seeing when that happens". When I replied stating I had tried over 30 times to complete the update, they stopped responding. I then tried calling the help line right when they opened at 8am and some how all the representatives were busy so I had to leave a message. Still waiting on a call back. Overall, extremely disappointed in the product and the customer service.

I have tried to get in contact with an agent the past two weeks. My baby has had to sleep in my room because the monitor is not working and I can not return to the store because it has been more than 30 days. The monitor says it is offline and I have done everything in the books to get it to work.

I have had the Monitor and audio unit for 10 months and it has never worked right! The audio unit doesn't work 98% of the time and then the other 2% of the time I have to uninstall and reinstall the safety 1st app to get the monitor to work

Setup: Adding this monitor to the wifi is easy, and the app walks you through it no problem. It's straightforward enough that it only takes about five minutes and so I have no stress about taking the monitor with us when we go to visit friends or family. At home we have the video portion mounted to the wall, but when we travel a pushpin is actually the perfect size to affix the monitor to a wall. No matter what room we're in, we can get a good video of the baby. Wifi: I love having a wifi monitor specifically so I can check on my baby while I'm at work. My husband also likes this feature. While sleep training, we were able to take a look at him and tell our caregiver if she should pick up the baby or let him fuss to try and go back to sleep. Super helpful. I found our connection to be a bit rough at first, but when we got a better internet package it was great! So if you're looking into any wifi monitor at all, it's best to have a good internet package, but I don't think that's specific to this monitor. Video and Sound: They are great quality. The video quality is adjustable in the app based on the wifi strength which is nice. Night vision is good, and it can be toggled on and off which I also found helpful. I like that the app alerts me when there is a sound or motion event. When I first set it up, they were by default set to the most sensitive setting so it was a lot of alert but once I realized it was adjustable it was all smooth sailing. App: My favorite feature on the app is that I can give others some access to the monitor, but not full access. My parents were able to get access to look at him during days where they watch him without any problem. Most settings are highly customizable which is nice. Audio Unit: I have not made much use of the audio unit because our living space is so small, I can hear the baby without it. When we travel, it's a great tool to have in a two story house, but I've only used it a handful of times.

I needed a new video monitor asap and I was looking at multiple monitors. I chose this one and I am glad I did. It was very easy to set up. The app didn't glitch for me, which was a concern of mine since it's over wifi. I had no technical issues and the picture quality was clear. Night vision was clear as well. So far it has been very reliable for me and super user friendly.

This is a great product for the price. I love the app and that I can check up on my baby while I am away from home. The video quality is pretty decent and the only issue I found was that the base battery doesn't last 12 hours. Other than that it was great. Highly recommend

I love that I can use my phone to monitor whats happening is very convenient and easy to use. Video quality and sound quality is great. Setting everything up was simple and easy no problems. there are a few glitches with sound and video every once in a while I expect that so its not a problem for me overall an great monitor and worth the money.

Use this product to ensure that my elderly in-law is ok.

This baby monitor works well. I love the WiFi capabilities and also I love the app so I can monitor my baby from anywhere. There's been no issues and it always works well

The monitor itself is fine - clear enough picture but blinding blue light (so I covered most of the exposed light and picture is still fine). Also, if it ever disconnects and reconnects the loud chime will definitely wake your baby. The app works well enough once it is setup. The setup itself was a nightmare and required at least 47 attempts to connect the monitor. Occasionally the video doesn't load despite sound coming through. The parent unit works well in theory except that I have now had TWO of them die on me. Won't turn on, won't charge, won't reset, just nothing. When they have worked they're a nice feature. Customer service regarding this has been great. However, if I could go back in time I would 100% buy a different baby monitor. Between having to re-setup a monitor that is not user friendly and then having parts die, it just hasn't been worth the hassle.

The base tends to not give alerts. The button will turn red but not tell you how to fix it in the app. The customer service seem to always have a wait when I call sometimes I never even get through. The app is great though, sends me motion, noise, and some random alerts. Works even when I'm visiting other states so I can watch from a far.

I love being able to check on my son from the app on my phone. I do not have to keep track of a monitor while doing things around the house. The portable speaker is great for babysitters that I don't want to have access to the app 24/7. The baby moments feature allows me to look back and see how many times my son woke during the night and for how long.

I really like this product. Even though it isn't always reliable if internet goes down, I love being able to view my baby from Anywhere. And my husband loves being able to view our baby when he is at work and enjoys talking through the app to her when we are in the room. It does have some static and interference and makes a whistling sound at times. But it works for what we need it for :-)

Researched WiFi baby monitors before buying and this one had great reviews so I purchased one without the audio base. I loved it so I bought 2 more but with the audio base. This camera works well and the audio base is not necessary. I would recommend saving your money and just purchasing the camera because you can hear and talk to your baby without it! The only thing I wish they would change is being able to record your baby on your own. They should have a button on the app but sadly they don't.

I bought this because I work overnight so I want to make sure the baby is ok when I am out. It is so great to have this monitor. I love it!

You can pretty much get a 360 view of your room if you need it. I love That i can Adjust the settings to alert me if there is soft noise or movement or loud and big movements... one time i needed Help, so i texted Support and no joke someone real actually texted me back telling me how to adjust my settings.... i also Don't worry about anyone hacking this on the WiFi, it's set up differently then other WiFi monitors.

When I first attempted to connect this monitor to my phone with the app, I had serious blonde moment issues, got frustrated, and gave up. The next morning I decided to give it another go and connected everything faster and easier than expected. I was worried I'd have connection issues with losing signal from my phone to the camera, but that surprisingly hasn't been the case at all. The first thing I noticed about this monitor was how crystal clear the video quality was. What a massive difference from my other one! I was blown away at how nicely the detail shows up. I can pinch-zoom in on certain areas easily and turn my phone sideways to increase the size of viewing. The smart audio unit that comes with this device has some nice features. In the app, I'm able to adjust the settings if I want it to wake on soft peeps versus loud cries. When the description says it doesn't pick up background interference, it's NOT lying. The audio is nearly flawless and I don't get the muffled background static garbage like I get with the other monitor I own. There's about a 1-2 second sound delay, but that's gonna be the same with any monitor. The 2-way talk feature is a cool bonus. It's perfect to use with my husband while I'm stuck in one spot nursing to just say, "Honey, can you please bring me some tea? I can't get up." and boom. He can hear me on the audio and come to my rescue. My favorite feature of this monitor is that it automatically puts together clips when there's motion or sound. The video clips have captured "firsts" when I couldn't get my phone out fast enough to take video/pictures. It's been able to record cute interactions our baby has had with both my hubby and me and I can download them and save them forever. If I don't want the clip, I can trash it easily. The play back is equally useful when you're out of the room for a second and an "oops" happens to see what your precious angel got into this time. Overall, I love this!

I can also zoom in and see all the details. The camera comes with a smart audio unit which lets parents know if any motion or sound is detected in the nursery by lightning up. You don't even need to be next to your phone since the unit will inform you. Also you can talk to the baby via the smart unit and soothe him with your voice. The built in encryption chip provides extra security.

I regret purchasing this product. First the audio unit never worked. We contacted support and it is a known issue. So why they are still selling this is beyond me. We were refunded the $50 price difference, which I do appreciate. The monitor itself NEVER works when we need it. It works when we play around with it, but when my daughter is actually sleeping it doesn't work. Any time I've tried to connect it somewhere else it won't work. Aside from being unreliable, other features I don't like are: - beeps when you plug it in (loud enough to wake a light sleeper) - not user friendly at all (my husband and I are decently tech savvy, so we should be able to figure it out, but can't) - has to be plugged in.

We did lots of research prior to buying. This product had great reviews on YouTube and in parenting groups. We wanted a monitor with a good quality camera we could watch from our phones when away from home. TL;DR version: picture is great, camera makes loud noise and wakes baby often, no audio base unit instructions, SO MUCH BLUE LIGHT, audio base unit does NOT have 12 hour charge. I ended up buying a regular old baby monitor for the audio. The Camera: Great image quality in light and dark. Decent audio quality. Easily wall-mounted. However: it makes a loud chime when it reconnects to WiFi after losing signal, which happens more than I'd like, and it wakes my baby. It has a bright blue light that shines right on my kid's face, which isn't healthy. Some nights she just stares at it. And when the camera loses connection to WiFi, it blinks on and off until it reconnects (and then chimes). Highly disruptive. Audio Base Unit: Superfluous. Just buy a regular baby monitor for sound and ditch this piece. Where are the instructions and troubleshooting for this? All you get is set-up instructions. It does *not* hold a 12 hour charge, as advertised. Very loud chime when you turn it on, will wake your sleeping partner. I do like that it blinks when noise or motion (if selected) is detected, but did it have to be so bright and blue? Not so easy on the eyes or (already disrupted by baby) circadian rhythm. I ended up buying a regular old baby monitor for the audio. The static noise from that is way less disruptive to my sleep than my room being lit up by a tiny but mighty bright blue light. App: Simple. I liked that I didn't have to carry a separate phone-sized item to watch my baby. Product description says you can schedule access for other caretakers, but there's nothing to do that in the app. Audio doesn't always stay on in background (maybe it times out?). Each time you exit and open the app it has to reconnect to the camera. Images don't always load (iPhone 6S).

Give me peace on mind when the baby is taking naps and I can be doing other things around the house.

This monitor is easy to use and install! I especially love the portable Smart Audio Unit. Once it's charged, you can carry it with you in the house and are easily notified if audio or movement is picked up in the room.

The baby monitor has amazing video and sound quality. I love that it has night vision so I can keep an eye one the kids while they are napping or at bedtimes. Also has sound and movement alerts so u get notifications to your connected device. It even comes with the sound and movement audio unit for extra security and convenience. Absolutely my new go to baby monitor.

We use the camera for my daughter who has Epilepsy to montior her through out the night. So far good camera.

My favorite thing about this monitor, and my husbands, is the WI-FI capability. My husband loves that he can check in on her while he's on his lunch break. I love that I can share the video camera connection with family members so they can check in and see my daughter whenever they want. Also, the audio unit is so good I could sometimes here sounds from the room next door. Luckily, u can control the sensitivity levels of the camera and audio unit. What I didn't like was not having an LCD screen that connected to the camera without needing WI-FI capabilities. We sometimes go camping so at times I couldn't check up on my daughter.

Overall, I thought this was a good quality baby monitor. For the first year or so of my son's life, we used an inexpensive WiFi-enabled security camera as a video monitor in his room, so I am using that as a comparison. I loved the baby-specific features of the Safety 1 monitor. It was pricey-er, but I felt like I got a lot of features and a better quality camera for my money. I LOVE being able to check in on my phone, even when I am away from the house and my husband or someone else is watching him. (I'm a musician and am often away from home around bedtime, so being able to check on my sleeping little one gives me a lot of piece of mind.) I also really enjoyed the motion and sound alerts. It took a little tweaking, and I eventually turned the sensitivity all the way down on both sound and motion, but once I got the hang of them, I found being able to catch my son when he was tossing and turning in the night and get him back to sleep before he woke up and cried or yelled for me to be a nice advantage.

This camera works good but I find that it disconnects from the network a lot. Also you cannot record video.

This monitor was really easy to set up, I really like that I can see and hear my baby! The image is clear and I thought the sound quality was good compared to the monitor I had been using. The app is also easy to use and has been reliable so far.

I am always so busy up and down, I have a newborn and twin toddler daughters that love to be busy playing and making a mess. So being able to keep an eye on my babygirl while playing with the older ones is great. Being able to see and have access to such great video quality is amazing. It helps keep me from going mommy crazy trying to check on her every 5 minutes. I am so happy with the app aspect, my hubby is not so techy and he know how to work it, best part is watching him watch our daughter sleep while we are having a movie night in our living room. Being able to adjust the sensitivity settings really helps, I am not needlessly looking or going in to see who is in the room or what is going on. My hubby like that we can add extra cameras to it and be able to see more. I appreciate the battery life before I need to charge it, last throughout the night. I would definitely recommend to other mommys and daddy's for when they are at home or away for a date night and have a sitter. Peace of mind is the best.

I receive this device for review. We used this video monitor to keep an eye on our daughter while she napped as well as we used it to keep an eye on our other kids while they played downstairs when we weren't in the room with them. The camera offers a crystal-clear view of the room with a wide-angle view! I was impressed with the video quality! The best part of the system was that we could view what was happening from our cell phones and that was great! I liked that I didn't have to carry a separate monitor device around just to watch over my baby. The audio sound is very clear as well! The Smart Audio Unit was a great piece to keep in the kitchen so that I could still hear the baby and not necessarily have to look at my phone to see him. The app that the video monitor uses is very user-friendly and simple to navigate through! The only thing that I wasn't a big fan of is the fact that to turn the camera off, it needs to be physically unplugged from the wall and so an on/off button on the camera itself would be nice but it is not a big deal! All in all, i would definitely reeccommend this camera to anyone with a new baby or even to anyone looking for a safe and secure video monitoring system to keep tas on their little ones!

I had another baby monitor that didn't offer Wifi or the option to see my baby when I am not home but after having the Safety 1st, I realized I was missing out on being able to see her and having that peace of mind. The camera itself works great and the picture quality and night vision is far superior then other monitors I have seen, but the audio and Wifi is hit and miss. We have a pretty high tech house with a mesh Wifi system and I still had it cut out alot and there were often times a lapse between the camera image and what was really happening. Overall though this is a great camera and the Wifi is the selling factor for me.

I planned to use this camera and audio unit during naps and bedtime to monitor my baby. Wrong! The camera loses connection frequently and the audio unit stops working unexpectedly as well. I cannot trust this product for use during night time, as the camera or sound may cut out while I am sleeping. Also, there have been numerous occasions when the audio unit creates a feedback loop wherein if the baby makes a noise, it plays that noise back in the baby's room, so he can hear his own cry, then the audio unit picks up the noise it just made and keeps looping an echo of the same noise. Hard to explain and very scary for a sleeping baby to unexpectedly hear during their nap. He has been woken up numerous times from the microphone on the audio unit playing back a noise that the baby just made. It's very inconvenient and annoying. Set up was also extremely hard. The type of internet/WiFi setting we had needed to be changed, but once it was switched to the correct setting needed for this product, it still would not connect. Without internet, the product is useless. We finally got the product to work after several tries. I reached out to customer service about our issue, but received little help beyond recheck your WiFi settings and reset the unit. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product and will be buying a more trustful monitor from a different company.
