I bought this before my baby was born and started using it as soon as he was home. It is very useful, it has helped me a lot.

Had it for a month now and don't know what I would do without it.

I got this for my nephew's while I watched them as babies, it helped out alot and was so easy to use. I plan to get me another one when I have a baby!

Makes everything smell a whole lot better and was a great price.

You could throw diapers into the trash can, but the Diaper Genie is so much more convenient. The smells stay in the can, so you can keep it by the changing station and only need to throw out the bag a couple of times a week. I purchased this in June after our older, more simple style Diaper Genie finally but the dust after four kids. I wish I had just gone with the basic model as I've had nothing but issues with this diaper pail. The mechanism to open and close the pail is faulty. Cheaply constructed. I am very unhappy as our previous diaper pail lasted eight years.

'Trash can is operative word' Purchased 2, one for our room, one for babies. First full bag, we open up the lid, take out the bag and push back down the lid, never to work again. We've taken one apart 3 times, the other 5 times to no avail, the foot pedal no longer operates the lid.

With my first child we had the older model with the foot pedal. I enjoyed it very much! It trapped the odor, was easy to change, and over all was a great diaper pail! When I needed to replace it I didn't even think twice about getting another Genie. But this Genie complete isn't as effective. Even with the odor eating carbon it smells, especially when you open the lower part to empty it (never had that with the old model no matter how full it was). It doesn't use to bags as efficiently and the bag cutter is awkward to use. I would not recommend this model! It needs to be revised ! If you can find an older foot pedal model you have found a good diaper pail!

I have a small home daycare with kids through the day, night and even on week-ends. I change some of the smelliest diapers and the most convenient place to keep the diaper genie was near the kitchen trash can. Well... I don't empty it except with the regular trash and NOBODY even suspects there are diapers in there. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase, not could my husband! Its so easy to empty, too!

So we bought the Diaper Genie a month ago and i have to say i'm very disappointed of it. We had the Arm&Hammer Diaper Pail but decided to buy the Elite since the refill bags for the Arm&Hammer got more expensive. The only good things about the Diaper Genie is that its hands-free and it looks nice but other then that it's almost worthless. First the refill bags are annoying because you have always to make a node at the end of the beginning and the end (OMG is that stinky).. Second it stinks.. we moved it out of our bedroom where our Changing Table is because it's such a stinky pail once you open the lid to put a diaper in. I'm glad i still have my old Diaper Pail and will be returning back to it once the refill bags for the Diaper Genie are done!!!

We recently purchased this as a replacement for our diaper genie elite. I was unpleasantly surprised at how much less this new model holds. We used to have to empty the elite once a week with a 2.5 year old, and with this one out 6 month old fills it in just 3 days. I would gladly return to pulling the system away from the wall to empty in order to have more capacity. Very disappointing "upgrade."

This design sucks. I find myself having to chove my hand down to get diapers to go through...they always get stuck in mechanism. Also the design does not keep oders away and fills up way to fast. Have had a diaper geenie before and had loved it, but again, this model was a complete dispointment.

Diaper Genie Complete is a must have. It is convenient , hands free and totally contains the smells. This is an excellent product and makes a wonderful baby shower gift.

Much inferior to the previous version, the Elite, which we had no issues with. This one doesn't block out any odors whatsoever.

I had the munchkin with my first baby was great and cheaper. I purchased the diaper genie with my second baby only because it hold more diapers but it a a pain to change the bags you have to cut it and tie the bottom and within 6 months it broke!!! I will be switching back to munchkin cheaper less a pain and didn't break on me!

I bought a diaper genie for my second baby after having something different for my first. I am not impressed at all! The bags full up super fast, I am literally changing it every day!! And every time I open the lid all I can smell is poo (and yes I have the "odor illumination" pouch thing on the inside of the lid). Also there is so much waste with the "bags" when you change it, you have to pull so much to get it to the cutter then once you pull it out all the diapers compact more and you have a ton of extra plastic to tie your knot.

I bought this for my first and it's so sturdy and perfect for kids that I have been able to use it three times!

With the older design, it would last about a year until one of the plastic tab breaks and I have to throw it out and that's okay. This new design is terrible, the thing broke after 4 days and the bag has to be tied at the bottom bringing you in very close contact with any diaper that hasn't fallen through to the bottom, if you get my meaning.

Let me start out by saying I was a previous owner of the original Playtex Diaper Genie. We also bought the second designed model. So 15 years later when needing to get a diaper container we went straight to the Playtex Diaper Genie. But what were they thinking with this new design. It doesn't seal in any of the smell. I wanted to have something that would help eliminate the odors of a diaper... Unfortunately what this model design does is let all odors escape every time you open it to insert another diaper. The previous model you would twist the liner between each diaper to eliminate most odors. We never had to use disinfectant spray previously and we had to spray Numerous times after each deposit on this design. Needless to say, it took only a week and many unpleasant odors to say goodbye to this product. Very disappointed and now on the search for the old model. Why ruin a good thing when the old one worked soooo much better?

I have now bought 2 diaper genies each have broken. The first I had for about a year before it broke so you could say I got my use out of it; until it broke. I then bought another and it broke within 3 days! Every time you put your foot on the peddle the lid will not come up. PLUS the flaps inside do not move!!! These products are not cheap to have to keep buying and I think it is getting ridiculous that yet again I am having to spend more money on something that should not be braking! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! you will have to for sure buy more than one!

We received two of these at our baby shower, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. They are a life saver. The dogs cannot get into the diapers and the smell doesn't linger through the house. The carbon smell pods need replaced approximately 60/70 days in, but that's a cheap fix. They're supposed to last 90 days, but I'd rather not chance our house stinking to save a few dollars. The foot step on the genie is amazing. Especially if you have a blow out and your hands are covered, or if you've picked up a fussy baby and you still need to dispose of the diaper. I absolutely love my diaper genie!! It really does cut down on the smell of dirty diapers which works out perfectly for the nursery!! I'm actually using the same one I got for my son for my daughter (she's due in July), that shows you that they are durable as well! I also love how long the refills of the bags last!

I bought this a few weeks ago and I love it! Our old diaper genie was a hand me down and was broken :-( so every diaper we put in it you could smell! I finally gave up and started taking the diapers out to the dumpster instead! Then I purchased this and I absolutely love it! I don't have to worry about the smells anymore!

I've had my diaper genie since my first born and there's been no issues at all. However, certain foods (solids) the genie cannot handle but I plan to purchase another this time around with this pregnancy.

I have owned two diapers genies now and I love them. It is very easy to use from changing out the bag to putting a diaper in.

I Purchased This A Few Months Ago & I Absolutely Love It

With my first two kids I never got a diaper genie or pal or anything at all. Then with my third I finally got a Playtex Diaper Genie! Oh my goodness, why did I not do this sooner. How did I ever live without one! I have one downstairs and getting one for the upstairs!

We got this as a baby shower gift and thought we probably wouldn't use it much. Well 10 months later and probably around a million diapers later (not exaggerating) it's still holding up strong. It masks the smells great and hides the many many dirty diapers that our offspring creates. You would never even know there's a 100 dirty diapers in the same room as you!

Started off with one in the nursery upstairs. Loved it, so had to get another one for downstairs. Never have a dirty diaper smell in the house! Holds lots of diapers

I bought this to replace my diaper genie essential pail that had begun to stink. This looked like it would be an improvement, with its design and color options. However, it's been nothing but disappointing. It smells even though we empty it frequently. You have to stick your hand in and push the diapers down to make room. It doesn't hold that many diapers. The door on the front is awkward to use. It seems cheaply made. The built in bag cutter is in a convenient location, but that's not a big enough improvement to recommend it.

I love this product would have giving it 5 start but but after few poo diaper are in there it start smell bad i only started using it in april 20 my baby was born the 17th

I used this on my 1st child, and going to be using it on my baby that's due in 6 months. This was such a life saver- I didn't have to run diapers out to the trash can every diaper change. No stink at all! I love the genie because it is affordable! And that's what parents and parents to be look for!! Easy to empty when that time comes without exposing all the stink.

I got my diaper genie 3 months ago, and started using it when my daughter was born 2 months ago. I love it! Only problem I would say it has is the foot pedal gets stuck and won't open sometimes.
