Great travel system if you're looking for something travel & city ready.
February 21, 2016
We're expecting out first baby in June and after speaking with our friends, countless hours watching YouTube reviews, excel spread sheets comparing strollers, and finally stroller cruising on the UWS, UES, Chelsea and Tribeca we decided on the Mountain Buggy MB Mini 2015 version for it's lightweight travel system. It's under 20lbs so we can check at the gate and has three large wheels unlike other systems which have a combination of three small wheels or four smaller wheels which feels less sturdy, especially when maneuvering around New York's uneven sidewalks. Another reason we chose this stroller is because have homes both in the city and the country and don't want to have excessive strollers to deal with. This stroller combines the three wheel design of a jogger that works for both the city and country. We travel a lot, and it works well for this reason. We plan to buy another Mountain Buggy (either Terrain or +one) for our main home.I reduced one star because you cannot buy the stroller alone. It comes with Mountain Buggy's own infant car seat which is okay. However, many reviews I read and watched says it's too small and baby grows out of it took quickly. We paired this stroller with the Nuna Pipa car seat (adapters sold separately). Having an extra car seat is not ideal, but if you have two cars, the spare car seat can always be fixed to one car.
Pros
  • -Updated design 2015 version is more compact than Legacy series
  • -Lightweight
  • -3 wheel, jogger design
  • -Mountain Buggy brand, known for it's sturdy strollers
  • -Adjustable handle. Handle material is beveled for easy grip.
Cons
  • -Comes with the MB infant car seat. Runs small and baby grows out of it quickly. Not suitable for larger or 6+ months.
