Helping to Lear lower case letters

Bought these for our 3 1/2 year old grand daughter for Christmas. It really looks like good quality pieces. She hasn't gotten to play with them yet, but we're excited to have her learn with them!

This is a great educational toy. My daughter just got this for Christmas, and loves to find the letters and learn what they are and what they spell. The set is very sturdy, in traditional Melissa and Doug fashion. I really like the storage box. The only things I would like to see different would be more spell boards, so all letters are used, and maybe a loud so letters aren't lost.

Our 3 1/2 yr old grandson opened this immediately to play with. Finished one tray and started working on the next. He had no difficulty finding the letters. Very sturdy.

Great for teaching the alphabet. They recognize the pictures but enjoy putting the words together

Grandson keeps returning to this toy again and again out of his many Christmas gifts. Loves the challenge as he is learning how to spell.

My niece loves it! She's 2 and it's already helping her learn to spell thanks to the time her parents take to teach her.

My granddaughter is very fascinated with letters and is learning to recognize words. She just turned 2 and seemed to be ready for this activity.

Our 2 1/2 month old gravitated to this gift. She loves shapes, letters and numbers. This puzzle uses lower case letters which she is less familiar with so that made it a nice addition to her puzzles.

I will use with my grandson as soon as he can come visit again!

For kids who love puzzles, this is a great present. My grandson (4 years old) was not so interested, but my 2 1/2-year-old granddaughter loves it. It is, as usual with M&D products, well made and appealing. The one thing I would add is a top for the box; too often all the pieces spill out when we storing it. (I would say the same for all their puzzles. They used to make a puzzle cover, but I can't find it anymore.)

Great toy to learn words for a two year old

We chose this puzzle to accompany a gift of a globe. It's a nice visual.

Wonderful beginning tool for teaching two young grandsons (4 and 2) the concepts of letter formation, sounds, and associated concepts. I'm a strong believer in phonetics and this has been great for word sounds.

Granddaughter loves it. Great for interactive speech and language as opposed to flash cards and workbooks. Sturdy as well. Could use some duplicate letters.

The alphabet was missing Y and Z for tracing.. my 5 year old grandson noticed this right away

Wish I could send you the picture that my daughter in law sent me. All three of her kids are sittting at the table playing with the toy. The girl is 3, the boy is 5 and the other boy is 7. The 3 year old can match the letters ,the five year old can name the letters and the 7 year old can read the words. Daughter is law said they all like it even though it was a birthday gift for the 3 year old. I am going to buy it shortly for my other grandson when he gets a little bit older. I have other younger grandchildren also. I look for your toys at the stores i shop at also!!!

It is for my 2 year old granddaughter.

The kid is 2 1/2. He loves puzzles, he loves letters, and this is helping us put the two together to learn words and spelling. The only thing that would make it better is if there were more miscellaneous assorted letters so we could spell more words freehand. He likes swapping letters out of words and asking what it spells now.

This was given to my grandson who is learning to read and spell. We have a Summer campsite and this has been so much fun at the picnic table. Nice product would buy again.

Great item

This is pretty great BUT I have two complaints, one is why doesn't this come with a lid? Most M&D boxes come with some sort of slide in lid so the items don't fall out. Pretty disappointed this one didn't. Second problem, there are too many of some letters and not enough of others. For example, it only comes with one M so my kids can't practice spelling MOM. That is an important word! And we didn't get a letter L! Otherwise we really like it.

This is a great product to introduce spelling and reading to my 4-year-old granddaughter! It gives her the feeling of accomplishment when she can sound out new words!

This is a great concept for a toy. Helps my son with letter recognition and he enjoys playing with it. One of the boards was not manufactured very well with the black outline for the letters missing and being incorrect, the "e" is impossible to distinguish.

My child has autism and we are using this to teach him to spell. It works great for him.
