Our son loves helping us clean around the house. These aren't like the cheap toy versions of the same. Made of wood, as opposed to plastic, which I love and the perfect size for them to really help.

Toy base/holder is not made well. Unscrews easily and falls over. Strings used to hold the pieces on the stand keep coming un-tied. Wooden portion is built well though. The idea of this toy is wonderful but the construction is not well executed.

I bought this product because life practice in Montessori. Children can help with basic house chores like sweeping and mopping. Children found accomplished in working on something, rather than aimless playing. I love the color and great quality of them, but after observing my boys using them, I found the handle of broom and mop is not long enough to sweeping and mopping comfortably. With great wood, it's too heavy to wipe with one hand continuously; if two hands, no space on the handle. Soon boys felt it's more perfect for pretending ride a horse. Then 1o mins later, they began waving in the air, like a sword. If that's the case, I prefer air-filled sword. Just in my opinion, being a very beginner, child need his/her BOTH hands to hold a broom or mop to clean the floor. Even adult clean with both hands most of time. As a mom, I really hope Melissa and Dough can re-consider the length of the handle for broom and mop. If you have another opinion, please feel free to let me know. Thank you very much.

Purchased this for my 17 month grandson for Christmas. He loved it. Started cleaning immediately. When my granddaughter's 2nd birthday was approaching, I knew that she would like this cleaning set also. When it was time to open it, our son called and we hooked up on SKYPE. We got to watch her open and start using it right away. She loves that it comes with a stand and she can put everything in its place. She used the duster as a giant hairbrush! We know that she will figure it out, but in the meantime, she is using it and having lots of fun. The parents like the fact that it is made in the USA of wood.

Bought this set for my 20month old granddaughter. She loved it so much I bought a set for my childcare class of 1 year olds. It's the favorite toy! They knew just what each piece was for and they clean all day long! If I could find a toddler sized vacuum that really worked, my work would be done.

I bought this set of cleaning tools for my two grandsons, ages 2 and 4. They love to use them to dust and to help clean the kitchen/eat-in-space. I was babysitting a couple of days ago and when we finished eating, I said, "We need to sweep the crumbs from the floor." Immediately the 4-year old ran to the closet and got out the brush and dust pan and the 2-year old retrieved the broom. They set to work and soon the crumbs were all dumped into the trash can. A little later, the older boy saw some blocks behind a storage cabinet. "Let me get them," he said. Off to the closet again; this time he grabbed the broom. Using the handle, he reached behind and under the cabinet and scooted the blocks near the edge for the 2-year old to reach. As he returned the broom - [they love to hang each tool themselves with the loops on the end of the handles] - the younger one got out the duster and began dusting everything in sight. Oh, if only their love for cleaning would continue through their teen years!! Thanks for durable and useful items.

My 4 year old granddaughter is having a great time with her younger sister "cleaning" their apartment. They learned what a mop is as well as a broom and dustpan. Got the other kit for the 3 year old sister....I'd recommend both for a different sort of fun play for boys and girls.
