This convertible car seat is pretty great! It has a slim design, is easy to install, and has an easy to read recline indicator. I appreciated that it has a slim design and I could easily fit two different convertible seats side by side. Currently, the contender slim (this one) is rear facing for my 18 month old, and we have a separate convertible (not the same brand/type) forward facing for my 3.5 year old side by side. I appreciated that I could easily install and uninstall either seat when directly next to each other as well as the fact that there is plenty of space for the drivers seat with the contender slim rear facing behind it! I also love how lightweight it is! I am currently 6 months pregnant and can easily lift it and install it by myself. This will definitely be my go to car seat for travel purposes (and honestly probably everyday life as well). I have not yet washed the cover but I cannot express how excited I am that the cover is machine washable! We have other car seats that are hand wash only and they are a pain to get clean. A few cons that I have found: the harness straps can be a bit of a challenge to get tightened correctly, there are only two options for recline-either reclined for rear facing or not reclined for forward facing, and the latch system is the "hook" type instead of the push to release latch (but this may be personal preference). I do also like that the shoulder strap protectors have a non slip backing on them! I will also note that my 18 month old (almost 28 lbs, 34" long) comfortably rides rear facing in this and has not given me any complaints about being in the seat, unlike others that we have tried, which is a great selling point for us. I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Being the one in our house who installs all the car seats, I appreciate one that is both slim and easy to install and this car seat meets both of those criteria. I installed it rear facing in both of my vehicles (a sedan and an SUV), and together with my other existing car seats I was able to fit three seats across in my back seat which is an absolute must. I also really liked how lightweight it was which means the benefit of the thin profile isn't offset by a heavier weight. Given the light weight and ease of installation, transferring it between cars was far less frustrating than other encounters I've had with car seats in the past! I've never tried a rear facing convertible car seat for a newborn but gave this one a try because it appeared well cushioned and able to support our 3 week old baby. There is quite a lot of padding on the infant insert, and it's also very easy to remove which will allow for my 2 year old to ride rear facing if we happened to need it. Installation was very easy using either the LATCH system or the vehicle seat belt. The LATCH hooks are a little harder to remove since you have to get your fingers between the seats to open it up but it's similar to other car seats. The bottom recline base support is very easy to switch between rear or front facing. It was probably my favorite feature but I do wish there was another recline option that would give two options for a forward facing child. The headrest is easy to adjust to the different heights, even one-handed if needed. I'm a fan of the removable cup holder rather than one that's built into the car seat and adds additional bulk/width to the car seat when it's needed. However I do wish it could install on the front rather than the side because I'm not able to connect it to the car seat if I want to have three car seats across.

I love cocoon shape of the design. The fabric are nice but seem easy to clean. My toddler enjoyed testing it out. I like the slimmer design. Because of the set up of my vehicle, and the placement of the seat in a middle row captain seat it didn't provide me with extra room at this time but it would do so when used in my husband's truck. It's lightweight enought to change vehicles easily. Install was easy and straight forward. The manual gives very clear instructions not only on install but with what is safest and acceptable at what sizes and ages. Funny enough my favorite feature is that the cup holder is removable and isn't required to be installed like with some seats.

It's a wonderful seat for my little one. I really enjoy that the base is already attached to the seat so there's no extra hassle getting it installed in the car. Since my girl is getting taller now there's more room for her legs to stretch with her still being rear facing. She seems to be very comfortable and always has such peaceful naps when there's extended car trips. The price was great as well and this car seat will last her a while which I can't complain about as well. Parents, this is the one!

The first thing we noticed was that this is traditional great Graco quality. Made with quality materials. We've had other brands where the install was difficult, but this one was magically easy. It doesn't overwhelm you with too many options. The recline was especially simple and installation all around was very convenient. This is great for new parents or that veteran parents like us can appreciate. He was very comfortable! We are using this for rear-facing for a 3-year-old who is 34 lbs and 38 inches. It's thinner than our other seats which helps so much with the space in our car. Before this one, with two car seats, no one could sit in the middle of the back seat. Now, that seat has space to fit someone. The cupholder doesn't lock in so you can always remove them if you didn't want those extra inches right there. I did receive this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My opinions are those of my own and my family.

The Graco Contender Go is a good midrange.convertible car seat for someone looking for a simple car seat. It doesn't have some features of higher price point seats like premium latch connectors or multiple recline options, but it's lightweight and slim. Optional cup holders makes fitting into small cars easy. Speaking of easy, the norethread harness is super quick and easy to adjust so kids of different sizes can fit without changing much. My 28lb 3 year old fit comfortably. It feels quality built without being too heavy. My only downside is the lack of recline options and jhook latch connectors but if don't plan to uninstall it frequently that won't be a big deal. I noticed the slim design of this car seat as soon as I took it out of the box! It was a nice neutral color which I appreciate so either of my young children could use it. Having two cup holders was also a definite plus so they can put their drink in one and snack in the other. I do have to admit I was a little worried that the car seat might not be as comfortable as the car seats we currently have due to the slimmer design, but I'm very happy to say that was definitely not the case! My little ones are so comfortable and like it so much that now they have to take turns riding in it. I also love the little hooks on the sides that hold harness and ensure they don't get stuck behind your child when you're putting them in. The only thing I would change about this car seat is the latch system anchors. I really like the push button style anchors because they are very easy to use and this one has the hook style. I really appreciate Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me this car seat to try out!

This carseat is so awesome! I received this from the Stellar Testing Product Panel, and am so glad I did. The design is so sleek, and fits very well. I have a small SUV this seat does not take up a lot of space. My little man does not seem uncomfortable at all. The design makes things easier for a sleeping little one as well. It provides the space for them to lay their head over without looking as if it is uncomfortable.

I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My rear-facing 3.5-year old has been using it for the past two weeks, and we are both thrilled with it! I love the slimmer design of this seat. My daughter typically uses a Graco Extend2Fit, and I was initially concerned that this seat's slimmer build might come at the expense of comfort. She says she has plenty of room, though - we've taken a couple of longer drives in the last week with no complaints.  And I am overjoyed to have gained some extra room in the back seat of my crossover!  The seat was extremely easy to install and to move between cars, just like the other Graco seats we own. And I love the fabric - the neutral palette looks great in my car, and so far messes have wiped off easily. Overall this seat seems to be really well designed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend!

I received this car seat as part of the Steller Product Panel. I didn't have as much time as I'd have liked to test this out, but got a good idea of how it fits our family in the l short time we used it. To start, my son is a BIG kid. He's 37" and over 30 lbs at 2 and a half. The slim nature of this seat did not give him a ton of room to spare comfort wise, and he didn't enjoy being in it as much as our regular car seat. That being said. It did take up a smaller footprint in our car, which is nice if you need that space, we have a large SUV and this isn't a concern of ours. Seat was easy to install, simple instructions and felt secure and sturdy in our car. We didn't have the opportunity to switch it between vehicles and don't typically like to do that for safety purposes, but I can't imagine it'd be a huge challenge if that's a feature you need. I loved that this had two cup holders, which is a must with a toddler. Makes accessing beverages and snacks much easier and makes my son feel more independent. Overall it's a really nice seat and would be a great buy for an average sized child.

I received this car seat as a product tester from Stellar. I really like this seat. It's smaller then my current one and fit nicely in the back of a car we struggled to find a seat to fit without putting the front seats into the dash. It was about the same as normal seats to install easier as you practice. The cup holders were great for a toddler who loves to have snacks on the go. My only thoughts on a down fall would be I think if my child was a new born I would still prefer the conveyance of the removable bucket seat at first. I would recommend this to parents looking for what's next after their child outgrows the bucket!

We have really enjoyed the Graco Contender GO. The carseat provides a lot of support and cushion to make for what seems like a comfortable ride. We haven't had any complaints from our 18 month old. Unlike the carseat we were previously using, the Graco Contender GO is easy to load and unload, into the car and our child within. The straps adjust easily and the slimmer design allow for more room in our back seat. I also like the sleek design and cupholder. Finally, my favorite feature is the adjustable headrest. We received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and love tbe car seat! We have a 3 1/2 year old and 2 1/2 year old and they both fit comfortably in it. The removable cup holders give it a slimmer design and make it more comfortable for passengers riding next to the car seat. We also have a third baby on the way and the infant insert padding looks very comfortable for a baby. The only thing I don't like is that it has the LATCH system instead of InRight LATCH - that was what really sold me on our previous car seats

My favorite feature of it is how easy it is to adjust the straps just by moving the head thing up and down. My 10 month old really liked it. I really like how easy it is to switch it between a front facing and rear facing car seat. I liked that it wasn't too big so can fit more car seats together in the same row. I wish though that it was a little more lightweight because I don't like to leave car seats in my car. It would be easier to take it into my apartment if somehow it was easier to carry, even if they added a handle on the back or something. I really like how easy it was to put the seat belt through either way it is supposed to face. So, overall... it is easy to install and adjust, it is nice and comfortable, and the only thing negative is that I wish it was a bit easier to carry. It is a very nice car seat.

It's new slimmer design makes more room in the backseat of the car, and my 16 month old was very comfortable riding in it. The cup holders are great and It's very easy to install, we had no issues making it secure. I do wish I had a few more options for growing with the child, while it has the backward facing option and forward facing option, it doesn't have the booster seat like some car seats do. Overall extremely happy with the product, I've always been a big fan of Graco. I would certainly recommend this car seat to other moms as a functional and affordable option.

I put my six month old son in the Graco Contender Go car seat and he absolutely loves it! He was getting a bit squished in his infant seat and the first time I put him in the contender you could see how comfortable he was. The fabric is nice and looks good which matters to me. It's slim fitting which is great as it fits well in my 2021 Honda pilot rear facing. I have a Graco 4ever for my older child and had to move the front seat up a lot to fit when she was rear facing. I didn't need to adjust the front seat at all when installing the contender Go. Installation took maybe five minutes. The latches attached easier than other car seats I've used. I love that there is a spot to hold the manual and the level on the side is easy to understand the appropriate angle of the seat. One minor issue is the slots that are supposed to hold the metal seatbelt clips to the sides. I cannot get the pieces to stay in the slot no matter what I do. It's not a huge issue, but it would've been nice to be usable. Part of me wishes the cup holders were integrated into the seat instead of clip in. They stick out pretty far. On the other hand it'll make cleaning all sorts of kid gunk out of them easier! Overall we love the seat and would recommend it to any friends or family looking for a convertible car seat! I received this a part of the stellar panel to test and it came at the perfect time. Graco is my go to brand and this car seat solidified it. The seat fits perfectly between my other two, the design is slim and easy to place. I was in need to of a third car seat and unsure if any would fit all in the same row. This seat is easy to place and easy to adjust. I highly recommend this seat especially if you are a multiple car seat mom. My daughter loves her seat and didn't notice any difference between this and our larger graco seat. If you're looking for a seat that's safe, easy to use and comfortable the Graco contender go is a go to for sure!

I received the Graco Contender GO from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, I like the design of this car seat. The cushions are nice and plush which is a big improvement from our old infant car seat. My 4-week-old looks very comfortable riding in this seat. I do not, however, like the strap pads. They are hard and not very flexible so it dug into my son's neck. I switched these out with the pads from our other car seat and that's working much better. This car seat is a little slimmer than our other convertible car seats but not by much, so it doesn't save as much space as I had hoped. I love how easy it is to install this car seat and to switch it from rear to forward-facing. One con is that this seat is not as sturdy as our others. I have it rear-facing right now so the front of the seat is anchored down but the back end will move if you bump or push it.

This car seat fits very well inside my small car. I love the pockets to put the buckles into while you're situating your baby, and the car seat has lots of padding and is very comfortable for my little one. The seat was very easy to level in my car because I have flat seats, but it could be more challenging if you do not have flat seats. There is only one incline position for each rear and front facing. In order to level the seat you will have to use thin rolled towels. That's fine but can get finicky. I also wasn't able to get the installation as tight as other car seats using the latch system which is pretty important to me. The seat is secure, but it moves a bit more than what I prefer. I love a good convertible carseat but most of them are so bulky and too heavy to use in any sort of car-switching or travel situation. I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I love that it is lightweight but still feels sturdy enough to keep my kiddo safe. I also like that it seemed to provide a little more room for kids' legs (when forward-facing) than other convertible car seats I've used in the past. My biggest issue with this seat is the installation. First of all, there's only one indicator (if you're looking at the car seat, it's on the upper right side) so when I installed it rear-facing behind the driver's side, I had to crawl around to the other side of my car (where there is already another car seat installed, by the way) to check that the angle was correct. Secondly, I appreciate the ease of the piece that flips over to adjust the recline position for rear vs. forward-facing, but I would like some more flexibility with it. The instructions say you can use rolled up towels to help achieve the right angle but to me, that doesn't feel super secure, and also it's a little annoying. Cars can have pretty varying degrees of natural seat reclines and my car vs. my husband's car is a prime example of that. Would be nice to just be able to adjust the recline position slightly rather than all or nothing. Last but not least, I found it really challenging to get a good, secure install without seeing a lot of wobbling side-to-side of the seat. It was easier to get it secure rear-facing, but forward-facing it felt like it was going about 3-4 inches each way when I shook it side to side. There may be some user error there because, to be fair, I am 7 months pregnant and not able to really get my whole body on top of the seat to secure it. All in all, it's a very good convertible car seat (with cup holders!) as long as you can nail the installation.

This Graco Contender Go car seat is very well made and has great features. This car seat is perfect for my baby and it grows with them so she can use it for quite some time. My baby sits comfortably in it and seems happy when we are on the go. The straps are easy to adjust for a safe snug fit. The clasp is of a good quality and snaps securely. The adjustable pad for my baby's head works perfectly. It's easy to install and I really like the lower anchor attachment and tether so they car seat stays in place without any issues. There is also a level indicator so you know it's level. The tether strap is used when you put the car seat in the forward facing position. The instructions booklet shows everything you need to know about how to install and use this car seat properly and it has pictures so you can understand everything. My jeep renegade is small but the slim design of this car seat allows enough room for my children to all fit in the backseat still. I am very happy with this Graco Contender Go car seat and I would definitely recommend it. I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I have used Graco car seats with majority of my children and have always been pleased. However, we have been looking to upgrade because our old Graco even though safe and sturdy was a beast and transferring it between my van and my husband's car was a chore. When Stellar Product Testing sent me this model to review I was excited! Just like my previous model it is safe and sturdy but this model it much slimmer and lighter making it a breeze to transfer. It still has two cup holders for drink and snack but this model actually has the ability to remover the cups for easier cleaning. The car seat also will grow with my child so he can stay in this one until he upgrades to a booster seat.

I would give this a 5 star rating for everything except that you are still using the horrible old anchor clips instead of the new quick release latch clip. This makes it way harder to remove and put in another vehicle. So I had to return this before using!

I am so glad I decided on this Graco 3 in 1 car seat. I have been selected because I did not like my previous, very expensive, name brand car seat. This time I did my research and read a lot of reviews. This one is perfect. My baby sits comfortably in it. The straps are easy to adjust for a safe snug fit. The clasp is of a good quality and snaps securely. The adjustable pad for my baby's head works perfect. I like the safety features of the seat and especially the leveler on the seat that confirms that the seat is installed correctly. The material is of a nice quality and looks nice and clean all the time. We actually bought two of them. Great purchase.

I've had this car seat for over a year, and once installed it works very well and does it's job well. The problem though is the installation itself - I've had continuous issues tightening the straps to the actual seat of the car takes a lot of patience (angling the belts, using lots of strength) and can be very frustrating transferring the seat from car to car

Good quality for the price we paid. However, the adjusting strap is really hard to access especially with a wiggling toddler. Happy with the material, the secureness, and the ease of hooking it into the car. This is our car seat for Grandma's car but hesitate to recommend this as an everyday carseat.

My kids are now 6 and 3years old and have been in these since probably 6 months old. We have two in each car. The only "issue" is that the main strap to lock them in place is pretty tough to tighten and loosen so only I (Dad) can tighten/loosen it. Regardless, these are much better than the other brands the grandparents got. I would highly recommend them. The cup holders are nice for the various toys kids always have. Kids haven't complained they're uncomfortable. Once proper fastened down, they're very sturdy. As the kids hit 3/4 years of age they're strong enough to unbuckle the 5pt harness; which is cool as they're typically mature enough to handle this responsibility. Size adjustments are great too. Buy these, or don't.

Giving 4 stars only because it makes lot of rattling noise in the car, we tried to adjust it so many times but still it does makes noise . Other than that seat is good...

Super easy to achieve a nice tight install. Fits well between the bench seats of my van. Easy to adjust straps. Excellent value and I'm very satisfied.

I bought this as a 2nd car seat For my husbands truck. It fits well and I mostly bought it because I love my extend to fit car seat (but I wanted something a little less costly) I purchased this and it's okay. I would say if you want something safe and on the cheaper end then get it, because it will do the job. The buckle at the crotch seems short and digs into my toddlers thighs ( and she's on the smaller side) Overall it does the job. If it's not your primary car seat get it. If it is and If you can afford a few more bucks get extend to fit it's much more comfortable for my baby.

I ordered 2 of these car seats in late August 2020 and received the car seats with a manufacture date of November 2019. That is almost a year old. Car seats expire so I am losing out on time that they could have been used. If the car seats are going to be older when you buy them, it should be listed on the website as a warning that you don't how old the car seats will be until you get them. When you buy something brand new that will have an expiration, you don't expect it to be almost a year old when you buy it.

This is the 3rd car seat that I bought for my third child. Its really comfortable for them to sit in especially for extended periods. The seat is positioned well enough that it allows for the head to rest properly when sleeping and no bend forward. It comes in several colors and designs which the kids were happy about.

We have used this car seat for 3 babies now and loved it each time! Not the smallest, but it's comfortable and easy to use.

I bought these for our two little girls, ages 2.5 and 1.5. Our older girl started using hers rear facing at 8 months old, and 20lbs. It felt much sturdier than other car seats I had used and she looked MUCH comfier than in her Graco Snugride 30. We started her little sister when she was 11 months old and kept her rear facing until 15 months old. This seat has hit every single one of my expectations and is so cheap compared to others with the same bells and whistles. The only thing I wish it had is the inright latch system to get it in and out easier, but it's really not that hard how it is.
