Definitely a lightweight play yard!

I think one of the stand out things about this play yard is the claim that it is half the weight as most...which is definitely true. It's a different shape than the most "go to" play yards that I have had experience with being that it folds into its case as a semi-circle. The bottom/mattress is a rectangle shape but the top is more of like an oval shape. The fold and assembly is easy, different than other play yards so may seem tricky at first, but still easy once you get the hang of it.
One of the things that makes it different from others is that the bottom rests directly on the floor surface. The mattress isn't the thickest and is fairly light, but still provides some padding/comfort. I am personally torn about the play yard bottom sitting directly on the floor. It's nice for a toddler that jumps around in it (they are just jumping on a padded floor essentially). Overall, my little one sits and plays in it without any issues (for as long as she will with other ones) and I do feel better about her being on a solid surface as opposed to raised like other ones out there. She doesn't jump/fall onto any support bars (I have a fairly active child). My only issue would be sleeping if it was on a hardwood surface...not sure if the mattress is thick enough to be comfortable for a long sleep. We have only tried it on carpeted surfaces.
The bassinet feature is just an inclined plastic seat with a removable padding that connects to the top so it is raised. While this is great for putting a younger baby down for a bit, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable having a newborn sleep in it for long periods. It seems like more of a convenience, short term feature. My little one is too old to actually test this feature though, so I may feel differently otherwise. The nice thing about it though is that it easily folds in with the play yard and doesn't add a lot of extra weight! Great for an all-in-one traveling system. It's easy to take on and off so if you're low on space and have two kids you don't necessarily need an infant chair and a play yard...unless you want to use them both at the same time.
The changing pad it comes with is a nice bonus. Definitely one of the largest "travel" changing pads I've used that folds up small and even has a special area to put wipes and extra diapers.
I think one of the biggest positive features is it fits through a standard doorway even when assembled. With other play yards I have to dissemble the sides to get it to fit through the door - such a pain. A downside to this play yard though is it does not have wheels to move it smoothly.
Overall, this is a play yard I would recommend to someone in the market for one. My reason for not giving it the full stars is it is totally dependent on the needs of the individual buying it. For us, the fold is flatter so it makes it easier to travel with than the bulky rectangle shape that some others fold up to. Again, this is a great all-in-one traveling system. It doesn't seem as sturdy as other models out there but I honestly think it's because it is more lightweight. I don't feel it is unsafe. Overall, it does the trick!
