Great adaptability
September 23, 2018
There is a lot to like about the Balios S stroller. We got the navy blue, which is similar in color to dark wash jeans. It took us less than 10 minutes to attach the seat and wheels to the frame, and then we were ready to go! We really like how adaptable this stroller design is. The seat can easily be adjusted to face forwards or towards you. In addition, it can lay almost completely flat, which is great for young infants. For older children, there is a footrest. The handlebar adjusts easily for height, which we appreciate, since my husband is a foot taller than I am, and it makes it comfortable for both of us to take turns pushing the stroller. All of the cloth parts can be removed easily for cleaning. The stroller has a good suspension system and large wheels, so the ride is very smooth. While not lightweight, I didn't have trouble lifting the stroller to place it into the trunk of the car. If you want to move it a little ways before unfolding it, it will roll easily. A drawback that we faced was getting the stroller handlebar to fold down. Ours seemed to be very stiff out of the packaging, and it took an email to customer service for more detailed instructions, some squirts of WD-40, and some practice to get the handlebar to collapse down. The trick is to slide the button on top of the handlebar to the left while clasping the button underneath and pushing at a 45 degree angle. When you do this, there will be a small "click" and then it will fold down. Don't try to push downwards initially, or you will get nowhere. We also engage the brakes before folding. I don't know how common our difficulty with the handlebar is, since none of the videos we saw demonstrating the stroller indicated it was tricky to fold - we may just have gotten lucky.

Quality, Comfort, Convenience
August 6, 2018
I have truly enjoyed the past couple months with the Balios S. Its well made and very comfortable for my 2 year old son. I needed a stroller a little lighter than my Bugaboo Buffalo but something sturdier than a lightweight stroller...the Balios S is absolutely perfect! Its simple to fold up and doesn't take up too much space. It has the same perks as my Bugaboo - quality, comfort, large storage basket, and cool design; but with the convenience of a lightweight stroller, and at a great price point. I love it!

So convenient!
July 25, 2018
First off let me start by saying how easy it is to put together. The stroller maneuvers so easily, the canopy is my favorite feature because it really blocks out the sun from all angles. The design is very modern. I love that the seat can face the person pushing the stroller or the opposite direction. Another great feature is that it inclines all the way back, convenient for when my baby falls asleep. Over all I’m extremely happy with my purchase, not to mention how fast my order arrived!

Lightweight convenience
July 1, 2018
Our family has been through a number of strollers, and the Balios S is one of our preferred models. We needed a stroller that my parents could use, which meant it had to be lightweight, easy to fold/unfold and easy to maneuver around urban and suburban environments.

Quality Stroller!
June 30, 2018
The Balios S is a great quality stroller. I use it for my one year old and my four year old and they both sit comfortably in it. The fabric is made so well and the extra padding helps keep my children comfortable. I have used several other stroller systems but the Balios S is the first where the seat can actually stay on when I fold it up. It makes it so much easier to fold and fits in my car that much better since the seat stays on. The adjustable handle bar is also a great feature. I am six feet tall and I can push the stroller without leaning over. I am very happy with my Balios S and highly recommend it.

Amazing Features!
June 30, 2018
I am so happy with my Balios S! There are so many awesome features. My favorite would have to be the one handed easy fold. Life has gotten that much easier because I can now hold my baby in one hand and fold up the entire stroller with the other. It is super easy and convenient. I also love the extra big sun canopy. There is so much shade for my baby on sunny days and I don't worry about her getting burnt because it completely covers the seat. I also love the full recline feature. When running errands my baby has been staying asleep because I just lay her all the way back and she is also super comfortable on the very padded seat. She has gotten full naps in when we are out and about which is very important to this Mommy. Another feature that I love is how upright the seat gets. I have been able to pull the stroller up to the table when we are out and she can eat comfortably. This is my third baby and I have gone through many strollers but the Balios S is by far my favorite. It is an easy to use stroller and is the sleekest looking stroller too!

Great for Grandparents
June 4, 2018
The Balios-S stroller is a good choice if you're wanting a sleek looking stroller that is easy to use and steers effortlessly. I like that it has the option to be rear facing or forward facing and can also easily be reclined if needed. Our grand daughter really enjoys her time in the stroller and genuinely seems comfortable. I also really like the foot break. You just step on the lock pedal, and the wheels lock in place. Once you figure out how to fold it, it is simple to do. However ours seems to take a little extra effort to stay locked in the folded position. It is very well built, so you can really feel the quality in the materials. It is sturdy but still very portable for this type of stroller. All in all we've really enjoyed it for our walks around the neighborhood.

Nice luxury stroller
June 1, 2018
The Cybex Balios M Stroller is a nice gold tier stroller. The recline is flat enough to use from birth, it's actually more flat that my bouncy seat and rock n play sleeper. A bassinet is not necessary for this stroller, I will be using it from birth. The assembly took less than 15 minutes, put the seat facing outwards first and mess with the recline before facing it to parent. The wheels are quite impressive they are sturdy and did great over playground mulch on my walk. I would say this stroller is outgrown shortly after your child reaches 3T clothing due to the depth of the seat. In height, this stroller could fit a child until about 4. The stroller is not difficult to fold once you figure it out. At 9 months pregnant, I was able to do so one-handed.
Pros
  • - The adjustable handle height is PERFECT. I am a tall woman right at 6ft and the handle extended fully is fabulous.
  • -The canopy is NO JOKE. It is massive and provides the option for airflow. The height of the canopy is great too. My 3-year-old has about 3 inches of clearance while sitting in the seat.
  • - The basket is amazing. It will fit a full sized diaper bag along with any shopping bags. There's no need to hang your bag from the handle. You can easily access your bag from the front or the back with one of the largest storage baskets I've seen yet.
Best Uses
  • If you like the Britax B-ready but want something slightly more narrow and do not need the expansion option this is a great option. It's a little more sleek, highly attractive, & more exclusive.
  • -Parents who want something stylish
  • - From birth to about 3-3.5 years old. (Recline is flatter than a rock n play sleeper)
  • -Those who are looking for great sun protection.
Cons
  • - I do not like the feel of the foam on the handles.
  • - I prefer a 1 step fold. However, the only full sized all terrain folds I think are better would be the Britax B-Ready or the City Select style folds. The fold is very common now with luxury brands and is still an easy 2 step process that can be done 1 handed.

Fantastic Stroller!
June 1, 2018
With 4 kids, I have had many strollers over the years, and the Balios S is quickly becoming my favorite! I am most impressed with how easy it is to use. It took almost no time to assemble and once it was put together, it was no trouble to learn how to use all of the features. My Cybex car seat fit easily on the adapter and makes going from car to stroller a breeze. The smooth ride and lightweight design makes it easy to push with one hand or maneuver through people in a store or crowd. The telescopic handle is very convenient and the storage compartment underneath is a very nice size, allowing for some simple grocery shopping or storing some items that I don't want to carry. I love that this stroller comes with both a cup holder and a rain cover. I had to buy them separately with other strollers and was thrilled to have them included. It is also worth mentioning the design aspect of the Balios S. It has a very sleek and modern look to it, which I like. I would highly recommend this stroller if you are looking for an all-in-one, easy to use travel system!

Smooth ride!
May 29, 2018
So far we have really enjoyed the Balios S. It is very attractive and well made. The ride is super smooth and is probably my favorite feature of the stroller. Compared to another luxury stroller we own, it is way easier to break down and has more functional storage. It is also nice that it comes with accessories like a cup holder and rain cover. The adjustable handle makes it easy for someone of any height to use comfortably. The wider wheel base can make it a little difficult to pass through narrow spaces, but overall I would definitely recommend this stroller.

Fantastic!
May 8, 2018
The Balios S is another great Cybex product and a very welcome addition to our family. High quality components, super easy to set up...mostly....trying to click the canopy onto the frame was SUPER frustrating due to the fabric that is wrapped around the frame directly where the canopy is supposed to click on. That part wasn't easy or much fun at all, but otherwise it went together very well and it is a fantastic stroller.

Good quality
May 8, 2018
Decided to try out the Balios as we'd had luck with Cybex' car seat for our little one and had a great experience with a Goodbaby travel system. Putting it together was really easy until we got to adding the XL sun canopy to the frame. The instructions said it would go on with a click but the fabric was hard to move so that the hooks would attach. I would suggest maybe making the holes a little bit larger in the fabric so this is easier. Loved the telescoping handle as my husband and I are different heights so this is a great option! Also liked that the cup holder and raincover came with the stroller instead of having to pay extra for the accessories. It's a really easy stroller to maneuver and perfect for my eight month old. I also have an almost three year old daughter and tried her in it too as the stroller said from Birth-55 lbs. but she was definitely too long for it at 37" tall and couldn't sit in it comfortably. If you have a baby under the age of two this is a great stroller to purchase!

Great stroller
May 1, 2018
As a first time parent, this Balios S is a convenient stroller with user friendly attributes. It is also easy to set up. Comes with adjustable handlebar which makes it easy for both me and my wife to adjust to our desirable heights. The major attachments like the rain cover, adaptor and cup holder come free with the stroller unlike other strollers you need to buy every other attachments for. The adjustable leg rest is also a bonus. Cons: had difficulties folding it at first, but it loosened up after a few tries. Also you cant use it with a car seat from other manufacturers. The location of the brake is a No for me as you need to stretch your leg all the way in. Would have been nice if the brake is hand-operated. Overall, it is a really great stroller for the price.

Excellent modular stroller at a great price
April 18, 2018
After obsessing over new strollers for a while, my husband and I were told about this model and decided to buy it on sale. We love it - it handles and pushes well, looks great, is easy to adjust, and my son loves riding in it. It has the look and feel of a high end stroller at a better price point. I especially love the adjustable handle bar and large canopy.
Pros
  • -Easy to adjust seat
  • -parent-facing or outward-facing
  • -adjustable, tall handle bar that is great for tall parents
  • -large basket
  • -excellent handling
  • -large sunshade
  • -looks stylish
Best Uses
  • This is the perfect everyday city stroller. We take it on long walks and errands
Cons
  • -folding is two steps and can be one-handed but is more likely 2 - it is less intuitive than some strollers
  • -the 5 point harness is really only 3 points in the US
  • -doesn't come with a cup holder or rain cover accessory (though this is comparatively cheaper as an add on than other brands)

Light Weight
December 28, 2015
I bought this stroller for my brother & sister -in- law that's having their first baby. They love that it's very light weight and easy to fold. The wheels are durable for all terrains that makes it easy to maneuver around. Also, the handle height extends so it easy for my tall brother to push it around. The only complaint that they have about it is that it was difficult to detach the car seat at first. I think because the parts were all so new and stiff, but with a bit more use it's become very easy.

I was very thorough in choosing a stroller for my first baby (who arrived at the end of July) because as a former NYC nanny I have years of experience with various stroller models and brands. I knew I wanted a travel system that was super easy to fold and unfold, that was relatively lightweight, and that didn't take up my entire car trunk. The Ballios M earns high marks from me in all of those categories, in addition to other features I love. PROS: The stroller is extremely easy to fold and unfold with one hand. It's the lightest travel system on the market (from what I can tell) and also doesn't have a huge profile, so when I'm pushing it down busy sidewalks or in crowded spaces (like the Starbucks in Old Town Alexandria) people don't hate me for taking up too much space. The wheels are durable for all terrains. The seat can face either direction and has a deep recline which is nice for naps. Another thing I LOVE about the stroller is how smooth it pushes, with one hand, which makes it easy to open and go through doors by myself. Also, the handle height extends so my tall husband and I can both push it with no troubles. CONS: We have a newborn and have just been attaching our Cybex Aton 2 infant car seat to the stroller base for now. The only annoying feature about the stroller so far is that you have to buy the car seat adapters separately. The first few times we attached the car seat it was difficult to detach, I think because the parts were all so new and stiff, but with a bit more use it's become very easy and I am able to do it by myself. Also, just a note, when we assembled the stroller the front wheels were already in the lock position and the stroller didn't push right until we realized that and unlocked them. It's been smooth sailing ever since.OVERALL: For the price (it's cheaper than the comparable UppaBaby Cruz travel system) you really can't beat the Ballios M. I'm really happy with our purchase.
