This car seat is cheaply made. All you are paying for is the brand name. We bought this car seat for our second baby and we’re disappointed. Not much padding and cloth material used is worse than cheaper car seats. Plus, the plastic on the outside seems much more flimsy than our infant car seat we had for our fist born. The sensor is a good idea but is actually annoying as hell. You get notifications all day “Baby Left In Car” even when you have the seat right next to you. Our first born had a Chicco Keyfit and that was probably the best seat we have used in our house hold. Sturdy, comfortable, and so so easy to install in the car.

GREAT car seat for newborns, light and easy to use

We are pleased with our car seat. This purchase took me the longest of all our baby purchases to make my mind up on. I compared safety rating on every reputable site, read 1000s of reviews & look at every feature. In the end, this seat best met the safety features I wanted for my son. It did not disappoint. The seat installed in minutes and feels very secure. I use the sensor safe more than I anticipated; especially for monitoring his temperate both in & out of the car. I would absolutely recommend this seat to a friend & would certainly purchase again. The only improvements I’d like to see ( and they are minor& not safety related) A bigger sunshade A more intuitive latch into the base A better release from the travel system. Thank you Cybex, for a wonderful product. 9/10!

I LOVED this car seat for my infant. It’s not as bulky as some others and the added safety features built into this seat are great for piece of mind being a first time mom.

My husband and I purchased 2 of these for our twins (boy/girl). Because they were born a little early and under a certain weight, they had to each do a car study with the car seats. My son passed his with flying colors. Unfortunately, my daughter didn’t pass hers and the hospital told us we had to get another car seat for her in order to take her home. Although he car seat was weighted for over 4lbs and our daughter was a little under 6lbs, it wasn’t enough for her to pass. After the 3rd test with a new car seat, she passed her test. After bringing her home and she got a little bigger, we used this car seat without any issues. We also used these car seats with the bumbleride double strollers. It was cumbersome to use the car seats with adapter.

Safe reliable I will order other seat later.

I waited to review this seat until we used it for a few months. First things first, this is one of the safest infant car seats out there, according to Baby Gear Labs. I just didn’t realize it was considered the budget car seat for Cybex. Now, I never got the sensorsafe work right but that’s the least of my worries. My experience has been meh. It’s safe and that was all that mattered til we realized this has one of the shortest height limits of all the car seats (30” instead of 32-35”). So due to my long boy, I have to already buy a new one. The canopy on this, what were they thinking? What am I even blocking out with this? And if you bring this up to the company they get visibly annoyed that you bring it up. The material doesn’t seem great but at the same time it’s cybex for the most part it’s built great. Just have normal sized babies I suppose and maybe don’t depend on the canopy (I use the Uppababy cabana to help out with that).

My newborn is loving this car seat and I have a peace of mind with all of the provided safety features. The only (very minute) downside is that the bar attached to the car’s floor has to be adjusted often as it shifts pretty often.

I received the car seat as a gift. It kind of makes a creaky noise when you move the handle up and down, but I’m hoping that’s just because it’s new. I had a difficult time getting the straps and head rest to adjust on it— I’m still trying to figure out how to get mine to cooperate. The sensorsafe technology is pretty amazing and will help me relax once I start using it for the baby. It’s not quite as light as review videos make it sound, but it’s not super heavy either. I love the look of it and it looks like it’ll be very comfortable for baby. The canopy is TINY, it may not even cover the baby’s head when I put him in it. I’m going to have to buy the canopy extender, but I’m guessing that was the ultimate strategy that the company used to make people buy more stuff from them. Overall, what I’m worried about is safety. This seat seems to be very safe and I feel very comfortable putting my newborn in it in the near future.
