Easiest —and comfiest—Car Seat!
October 30, 2020
This is our second Chicco Nextfit Zip, and it has not disappointed! (Well, with the exception that they no longer include the strap ComfortKit that keeps the straps out of the way when loading or unloading child, but I purchased that separately on Chicco’s website—look under the spare parts section.) But that is a minor issue. The updated fabrics are super plush and comfortable for our toddler! We had initially purchased a different seat, but returned it after trying to fit our daughter (and 5th child—we have done a lot of car seats over the last several years! :)) into it properly and her seeming very uncomfortable and it just not fitting her well. (She was a preemie who is now 90th for height and 60th for weight at 10 months, if that helps.) The Chicco Nextfit fits her perfectly, as it did our last baby who is now 5. It is super easy to install, and fits no problem in our minivan. (With seat pushed forward, even! Our toddler is happy to sit in it, and she looks very comfortable. Highly recommend!
Pros
- Easy to install.
- Comfortable!
- Plush! So plush! :)
- Reclines.
- Easy to adjust straps with no-rethread harness.
Cons
- Most models no longer come with the straps? ?ComfortKit? which keeps the bottom straps from getting stuck under baby when you go to buckle them in. Plus it is nice extra padding where the thigh straps tend to dig in. Nice for warm weather when child may have bare legs. But this can be purchased separately on Chicco?s website in the spare parts section.
