This seat is heavy, but most Britax seats are, due to the steel frames. I liked this seat, but it could use more cushion.

We do love this seat. It’s easy to install in our Dodge Caravan and Mazda 3. I have not been able to get a good install in our F150 super crew which is ok because I just use it in the van.

This booster was easy to install and fits great in a multitude of car models. Held up in a rear-end car crash (though had to be replaced due to car seats only being good for one accident)

We have used this with the 5pt harness feature for the last 2 years for my son (age 8 now, but small for his age). Seat is safe which is the #1 priority. Easy for him to get in and out of. Cupholders are great, they do not detach so no issues with them coming off. Only slight complaint is the headrest makes some noise when he is not in the seat, if you google the issue there are suggestions to helping stop the noise that work very well. Overall very pleased.

My son outgrew his five point harness car seat so we purchased this booster. It came earlier as expected. It’s cute, easy to install, and my son loves it. It’s more spacious and has cup holders. It’s also got exceptional safety ratings. Would def recommend!

Exactly what we were looking for. Nice quality, easy to install and comfortable for little one. Seat cover appears easy to remove for washing but haven’t had to do so just yet.

The car seat is well made and stands up to tough toddlers! No car seat is easy to uninstall and pull apart for washing, but this one is as easy as it can be. The cupholders are great and I wish our previous Britax seats (for earlier stages) had come with holders like these.

We always buy Britax and got this as a Black Friday deal. If it wasn’t so large I would have returned it. It’s not the quality I’ve grown accustomed to with Britax. It seems cheap. The straps are rough and not the smooth, nice straps in the marathon and pavilion seats I have. It’s hard to get a tight fit in the car (and yes my seat belts lock and I followed the instructions exactly). It does “fit” according to the specs in the manual but just not as snug as I’d like. I would not purchase it again. Spend the extra money and get the more expensive one.

We bought one of these seats for my son when he was 3 and we’re still using it at 7. He uses it with a seatbelt now. It was time to get a new seat for my big 2.5 year old and the other seats I researched did not compare. They didn’t recline, didn’t have arm rests, no cup holders, or didn’t offer enough padding. This seat has it all. It’s a comfortable ride for both of my kids and will give them room to grow. I also feel the design of the seat will keep my kids safe.

The Pioneer is awesome. This seat may not have as many bells and whistles as Frontier or Pinnacle (no click tight) but it’s a great seat for a great price point. Love the built in cup holders, and the fact that it can be used for both harness mode and booster so it will last longer. I like that you can use LATCH to keep the seat in place once child is in booster mode (so the seat doesn’t move around if/when you’re driving without the child in the car) ...also, I don’t like the gray rubber thingies that come on Frontier/Pinnacle straps. Pioneer does NOT have them so that’s a good thing in my opinion.

I’m very happy with this harnessed booster seat, I bought 2 others before this elsewhere and ended up returning both because I was so unimpressed with the quality and safety. I love that this seat can still be hooked up using the latch system, the way it connects to the back of the seat is also very unique and it’s nice not having to try and squeeze the buckle in the small space under the headrest. I feel like my daughter is very safe in this seat, it’s going to grow with her and color/print is adorable.

We love this Britax car seat! Super comfortable and sturdy when installed. We have 3 cars and always struggles when we have to switch cars and the carseats. This one is easy to unlacth and re-buckle. We prefer this eat over the Graco Nautilus or similar as it is extremely easy to use and install and we have always been able to get a solid install in various vehicles.

Hard to install

Easy to install between two vehicles. Lightweight, and my 3.5 year old is very comfortable in this seat, even for 3 hour car trips. Ordering a second for my husband’s car!

Great seat. It’s definitely bulkier than other seats available but totally worth it. Kids love the cup holders and little snack/toy holders.

Britax has always been our choice for our daughter since day 1. This is our 3rd model of Britax and she is now 6. Love this item. We have one in each main vehicle and now have one for the grandparents when they need one.

I was looking to a new carseat after my boy turned 3 1/2 and this one matched the quality and price I was looking for. Very easy to install, with latches and with the belt. 2 cups holder are very useful, but more important, it has all the safety feature I was looking for!!!! I will buy another one when the time comes for my 1 1/2 year old boy! Giacomo

Previously had the Britax Marathon convertible car seat and wanted to step it up to a booster. My kid is 40lbs and 42 inches tall at almost 5 yo. Things I wanted and got with this booster: Latch connection, harness, cup holders, removable seat cover, and the Britax engineering. I decided to forgo the click tight since I did not plan to ever take this booster out of my car. I wanted to keep the 5pt harness for the safety and my kid could buckle herself in and out the convertible and could easily do the same here.

This seat is great! It was very easy to install and does not move once hooked up. The only issue I have is it tends to be difficult to tighten.

Typical of britax, this seat is great quality and user friendly. My 7yr old is still able to use it in 5pt harness mode. It's easy to clean and install.

We always used Britax and as my granddaughter grew. I would have given 5 stars, but the installation is hard at first and I hesitate to ever take it out of the car....

I ordered the Britax Pioneer for my 6 year old son because I feel safer knowing he is in a 5-point harness. He is on the small side at 37lbs and 43” tall. I did so much research and ultimatly chose this one. I was skeptical at first because there were quite a bit of negative reviews about the seat not being secure with the lapbelt. I installed the seat with ease and it is very secure. It fits perfectly in my 2015 Honda Odyssey with leather seats. Shipping was also very fast. Do not hesitate to save some cash and get the Pioneer!

My older child has this same seat in another color. It is very easy to install. We bought the other one several years ago and it is still going strong. It was an easy decision for the second child. It is very heavy compared to say, Graco Nautilus or Argo, but easier to install and tighten and fits for a longer period of time. It is also not quite as wide, which is nice for a person with a narrower car. I prefer Britax car seats and have owned several others.

This Britax booster seat made my 3 year old super happy. He was exited to have a big boy seat with cup holders just like his brother. The harness adjusts easily and it is locked into place with the tethers in my car.

I wanted to get this seat for the longest time. I've got a tall heavy boy (47 pounds / 46 inches) he was in a Diono but he was so cramped up.

Bought this for my 3 year old. I love how sturdy the seat is. I also really like the fabric. I think it's comfy for my son. He can see around the side bumpers which is nice too.

I had been looking at this car seat and several other seats similar to it. I have always heard good things about this brand but have never owned one. I finally bit the bullet during the sale and bought it for my 2 yr old. I absolutely LOVE it! It is a tad bit heavy but I can deal with that to have a good quality and safe car seat. My son is a little bigger than your average 2 yr old and this seat has so much room. The first time he rode in he could t stop telling me how comfy it was. I won’t have to buy another seat this one will grow with him. Super easy to install also.

This seat fits our needs but I do not like to move it from car to car. It’s not heavy but getting the chair tight in the seat takes some work. I should have spent a little more and got the click tight version. It’s way easier. I still gave this seat 4 stars because it is a good seat and my daughter loves the cup holders and arm rests.

This is the second Pioneer I've purchased. I found out that my granddaughter had outgrown her Boulevard and was sitting in a hand-me-down all plastic seat in mom's car. I just feel like Britax seats are much safer. And they're an exceptional value for the quality of the product.

Perfect experience... Great Britax product at great prices. Easy to install and love the double cup holders and well constructed. Note the latch strap does not come with it if you plan to use one. Albee always ships quickly I recommend them to all of my parent friends .

I bought this seat to have in my car for my grandson. I'm familiar with Britax car seats in general, as I had purchased 2 previously for my son and daughter in law that have been in use for a while now, and are great. I actually installed this myself, and unlike other users, found absolutely no issues with the process. Other than the weight of getting it into the house after delivery, and then into the car, it was very easy. And thank goodness for the weight as it is definitely a very sturdy and protective seat. I would highly recommend this to other grandparents and parents

This is a perfect car seat for our three year old. The safety features are very secure and the seat is comfortable for our granddaughter. It is also very easy to install.

Britax quality was quite evident in this seat. The metal frame makes it heavier than some, but the added security is worth it. Overall construction is top notch. The push button latches make hooking to the seat anchors easy. With two grandchildren to transport, this makes Britax seat nbr. 2, and the quality of the first seat is what sold us on buying this seat.

This is a great booster seat with harness for my 4 year old. Seat back height adjust easily! Feels sturdy and safe:) Thinking of buying another one with out the harness for my 6 year old.

As always Britax surpasses the competition in construction!! Bought this one cause I couldn’t afford two click tights so not as easy to put in but it’ll do:).

We are on Britax car seat #3 (B-safe, marathon, now this). We buy 2 each time so that I have one and my husband has one. Have never had issues. My 4 year old loves his new booster seat. I wanted a booster with the harness for added safety. He’s not yet 40 pounds so we’ll continue using the harness until he’s too big - he’s always had a harness so doesn’t know any different. :) He says it’s very comfortable. It’s super easy to install. We always use the tether. It doesn’t budge. Ordering was easy and shipping was very fast! Highly recommend this site and this booster.

It’s a very well made, sturdy seat. The only thing I would warn some people of is that the back is really high. I drive an SUV so it’s fine, but in a small car it may be a little high in the back.

My son is 5 and wanted a “big boy” booster seat but I wasn’t ready to not have him in a harness, this seat works out great!!
