Good carseat exept for one, big, major design flaw. the buckle (the one between the legs) that the straps clip to is WAYYY too short. We have a 1 year old, but even at that the straps at the leg wrap around the legs, causing red marks. Secondly, since the buckle AND clips are between their legs, they have to hold their legs off to the side and have the edges of the clips bear into the sides of their legs. Terrible for such a pricey carseat.

This is my third Britax to own and I'm sad to say I'm returning it. I love the other marathon I've had in the past (not a click tight) and I love the Frontier click tight that I have as well. So I was excited to have a marathon with the click tight feature. However... the straps are no where near long enough for using this with a preschool age child. It's really difficult to get my three year old buckled in this.

I absolutely love this car seat. I purchased some other convertible car seat for my fifth child who is on the scrawny side sure it was bulky but that did not bother me much. I just had a major issue with how much it moved back and forth when buckled. I drive a 2001 Ford Excursion and there is no LATCH system in that car. I freaked a little but some research explained that the LATCH was not the end all be all and using just the belt was perfectly safe. That other car seat just was not a good fit. I did a lot of research when looking for his second convertible car seat. None of what my other children had used seem to be right since they were on the larger side and he is not. The ClickTight is amazing. It is so simple to install and I know that it is in there securely no matter which seat I opt to place it in. I move the car seats constantly based on which kids are going where and in what order so I have moved it a ton of times. Sometimes I have issues with the ClickTight button but that is because my toddler thinks it is a place to hide his snacks. If the harness seems to be having trouble coming out I learned that is because the belt was placed across it when buckling. The best thing is I can open it up and vacuum inside the seat and wipe the steal frame down too. I have always hated the LATCH system. It tends to cover the other belts giving siblings a rough time. This particular version is pretty thin. One of the stipulations when I researched was width. I needed to be able to place an infant carrier, two booster seats and two larger children in the two 3 seater rows along with my toddlers convertible seat. Add this to two Harmony booster seats and they can all go in the back row, which is shorter, no problem. After this experience I was adamant about purchasing a ClickTight Harrness to Booster. It just arrived today and I already love it. I will be passing the ClickTight Marathon Convertible Car Seat down to his little brother.

I bought this car seat about a year ago and don't regret it. Here are some tips for some of the complaints I saw: when trying to open the click tight feature I always push down on the seat with my knee and it makes it super easy to turn the click tight button. Yes the car seat is heavy, but it has a steel frame to protect your child. I'm ok with a little heaviness when it comes to protecting my child. A little weight makes up for a 20 minute car seat installation in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that the right shoulder strap is not always even with the left, it's always tighter which can make it inconvenient at times but no car seat is perfect. Overall, love this car seat and would recommend it to anyone!

My husband and I did a ton of research and this car seat kept coming up as top-rated in safety and ease of use. Each of our parents very generously offered to buy one car seat so we would have one for each of our cars. We've had them for two months, and I cannot understand how this model has received such high ratings. It is impossible to get our daughter in and out of this seat. The buckle strap is way too short (it needs to be at least 3 inches longer) so you can never get the buckles to clip. The shoulder straps are way too tight (they should come out another 6 inches), so each time we try to put our daughter into the seat or take her out, she cries because we have to bend her arms in such an uncomfortable position. We also have a really difficult time getting the straps to loosen. We have to yank them so hard, but we have to try to be gentle so we don't hurt our daughter while doing it. If it was just one car seat, I would say it's defective, but it's both! My in-laws have a car seat by another bran and it is SOOO much easier to use and more comfortable. We are really regretting getting this seat.

We bought this carseat a few months ago. Nine times out of ten I cannot install it. I have climbed in the seat to try and close it without any luck. I weigh 170. Today was the final straw for us trying to get it installed in a friends car. I called Britax to speak with them regarding the Britax and was very satisfied. THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM! All and all I love britax products but the clicktight doesn't provide the simple, easy installation that it advertises.

So far we've only used it once (b/c we live in NYC and don't have a car), but it was super easy to install (though a bit tough to push and lock in place - maybe the belt was too taught?). Was looking for something easy to install since we use car rentals and every car is different. And mainly looked for safety. Can't really go wrong with a Britax! So far so good! My daughter slept in it and seemed cozy.

The clicktight system works really well. This is my second Britax, but the first without the latch system. I never like the latch system as I find it to be a major pain and avoid moving the seat at all costs. The Marathon is an easy install and allows me to move it the seat from car to car with confidence and speed. It is heavy though and wife will not lift it to change cars. The seat angle indicator is set up for a flat surface. It will change if your car has sloped seat and both of ours do slope. This always results in the seat being more upright than we would prefer. Then you have to take it back out to adjust it. I don't like that because you end up guessing a bit on where you think the right angle will be. It's not terribly hard but it is inconvenient. Our only other complaint is the straps get twisted a lot, but that seems to be true for every car seat. Overall it works well if you want to be able to install quickly and with confidence.

I've had this seat for a while now and I love it other than the car seat cover is not removable! We have the stomach bug here at our house and of course she puked in her seat with a cover that won't come off! I'm an idiot for not checking that prior to buying it but I honestly thought all seat covers came off! Boy was I wrong! Good luck

I bought this for my 2 year old grandchild so we would be able to take her places without the hassle of moving her car seat from her parents' car. Her mom picked it out as she wanted a quality safe seat. It is easy for us to use, my granddaughter loves it because it is a little different (click tight feature) and the purple color is very nice. The cover holds up well and overall this was a great purchase.

My husband and I bought this car seat for our first grandson. We are so grateful to find a safe and easy to install seat that has been proven one of the best seats ever. I love the steel frame and the click tight feature. We also feel like it is the very best one on the market.

As a child passenger safety technician with two children of my own, I was looking for a seat that was easy for grandparents to install correctly. This one is it!! As simple as running the seat belt through the appropriate path, buckling it, then snapping the car seat shut. And it doesn't budge, which gives peace of mind to so many parents that are trying to install a seat but are discouraged by even the slightest movement. I love love love this seat. I also own other brands, and this is by far my favorite seat because it has so many features that make for a comfortable and safe ride for parent and child. There is no rethreading of the harness because you can move it up and down as needed in a matter of seconds and you can be sure that it is safe, with no doubt that it is correctly threaded or secured. No need to worry with splitter plates, ect.

I bought this a month or more ago on back order an finally received it, and I couldn't be more happy with the strength of the seat and also how easy it was for me to install it! If I every have another child I will definitely buy more!

this seat is easy to install and getting our son in and out is a cinch. the seat is heavy enough to feel safe without being so heavy that it's hard to take out.

We received two Marathon CT infant car seats for our twins. We loved the features listed especially the adjustability options and they seam very comfortable. Cons, very difficult to install, couldn't close the click tight once we placed the straps, the strap was too taught and the top wouldn't close, then once we did get it closed and needed to open it up to adjust the recline we couldn't get the strap loosened. Having no cup holder is a downer (especially considering the price), leg room when rear facing (kids look uncomfortable), the harness strap and release are difficult to operate in the rear facing position. Other than that, after 1 month with them we are pleased. Oh, and they are really heavy, so we won't be taking them out not that they are in.

its very durable, its a little too big to use the reclining options in our pickup- otherwise i think she would be comfortable when she sleeps in it too.

I am a CPST, and my only negative is that the seat only rear faces to 40#. It is so easy to install!

I bought this seat a month ago and my daughter absolutely loves it, she seems so comfortable in it and there's lots of leg room for her RF :) it was absolutely easy to install and transferring from car to car is easy and it fits great in our Cruze I thought it wouldn't. The weight of the seat isn't too heavy either :)

I like the ease of installation with the Click Tight model, which is why we purchased it; however, the shoulder straps seem much shorter than the regular Marathon, which we also own. No matter how much I have inspected the straps and tried to pull them out farther, it doesn't seem possible. I'm afraid that as my child grows, it is going to be difficult to fit him into the seat. Had I known that the straps were not the same length, I would have purchased another Marathon rather than the Click Tight.

I love how easy this car seat makes traveling with a little one. Safety is number 1 for us.

I purchased this car seat to replace my son's infant seat that he grew out of. I did a lot of research about convertible car seats, I wanted one that was safe and very easy to install. I especially wanted a seat that could be installed easily with the seat belt and not the latch system, since that now has weight restrictions. Well this seat was super easy to install, fits great in my Santa Fe, and my son loves it. I love the click-tight technology!

My son seems very happy and comfortable in his new seat. I was tired of carrying him around in his "bucket seat" he is 7 mos. old and approx. 18 lbs. I have a Chevy Malibu and there is not a lot of room for me to get him in and out in the rear facing position, but I believe this will get better as he gets older, I may try reclining it a little more too. The size of the seat is very similar to other makes and models of seats. It is a wonderful seat, very well made. Very happy with the purchase. I feel my son is very safe and I have a little over a year to keep him in rear facing position, so I can deal with that. The click tight installation method is very easy to use, if you have any issues watch a you tube video installation, very easy!
