Lasts Forever
September 16, 2016
I actually still have the original version of this stroller that I purchased in 2008; our five kids have all ridden in it at some point. A friend has this current version, and when I saw it I thought it would be fun to upgrade to a newer one, but there is no need to because my original Duallie that has been in constant use for the past 8 years is still in fantastic shape! And we're not easy on it. We've put literally thousands of miles on this stroller, sometimes with one kid in it, sometimes with two kids in it, sometimes with a third kid hitch-hiking in the foot well (not an approved seat!), usually half a dozen water bottles stashed here and there, often a kid's bike or several bags of groceries tossed up on top of the handlebars, and the only thing I have had to do as far as repairs is buy a new inner tube for one tire, one time. I take our BOB Duallie even when only one child is with me because it is still the easiest stroller to push, even with lopsided weight. It fits through every exterior door we've ever tried, maneuvers easily, can be pushed with one hand with no problem at all (great for running), and all of my kids have been comfortable in it.
After 8 years of use, none of the canvas is ripped or worn anywhere, none of the buckles are broken, none of the webbing is compromised, the basket underneath is still secure - I honestly do not have a single complaint about it. The orange canvas has faded a bit on the top, but that is to be expected with the amount of time it has spent working in the sun. It is a heavy stroller if you need to put it in your trunk often, but I think the weight is part of the high quality and durability!
I tried several other brands of doubles before going with BOB, but it looks like it is the last stroller I will buy. I recommend it enthusiastically to anyone who asks.
