I love the travel system stroller and the car seat would be good if it wasn't so hard to tighten the straps and my baby, at 9.5 pounds, barely fits. Am I missing something about the headrest to make him fit comfortably?? Removing the headrest shouldn't be the only option, since that's the safety feature we wanted. I'm extremely confused and upset by this. Especially after how much was paid for this travel system.

My baby is very uncomfortable in this seat. He is 6 mo and 18 lbs and now cries uncontrollably. It was ok when he was a newborn but has gotten much worse. He heats up in the seat and seems crammed in with the headrest. Is there any solution? I'm desperate! He is usually a good baby but once he gets in the seat, he starts crying.

We bought the babyjogger with citiGo car seat as travel system. Love the stroller but absolutely hate the car seat. It is just too heavy and uncomfortable to carry around. So I only take it out and carry when we are home. But even so taking it up the stairs from my car to our house is getting to me. Baby also seems very uncomfortable when strapped in for car rides. I'd not recommend the CitiGo car seat instead get another brand and use the adapter with the beautiful stroller.

As others have stated, straps get twisted and hard to get around baby's shoulders and the tightener is darn near impossible. My baby is 12lbs and 2months and already squished and unhappy in it. Makes going for walks or drives unpleasant and sweaty for the poor guy. Wish we'd gone another route as this wasn't a cheap choice. No way this will last much longer, he's nearly outgrown it at 2 months. Bummer

I really liked this seat when my DS was newborn. Now that he's bigger, however, I've removed the infant support and it doesn't seem to be as comfortable. Our biggest problem, though, is that there is a latch that holds the straps for the base. This doesn't stay in place and prevents the straps on the car seat from tightening. Every time I want to put my child in, I have to take the seat out of the base, strap my child in, then put it back in the base. Love the stroller though.

I got this car seat as part of the travel system along with two additional bases. Initially we were very happy until our son grew. We took him home as a newborn in this car seat. We later had the same issues everyone describes - felt as if it was too small and our baby was being squished in there and way too hot and sweaty when we took him out. Once we realized you could raise the headrest it was more comfortable for him and he was happy for a while. Now he is almost 5 months, 27inches and 17lbs and we have it on the highest setting. he absolutely hates the car seat and being In the car now is miserable for all of us. Wish I would have seen more reviews prior to our purchase.

I like the matching car seat and stroller but my baby is only 18lbs and is very uncomfortable in it. He's been uncomfortable since he was about 14 or so lbs. I constantly check the weight requirement and he's within range. He's not a large baby (only 50 or less percentile). We have an extra base that was never used. I agree with the other reviewers, head rest is hard, baby gets hot, and is irritated every time he goes in it. The stroller is nice but he's too young to sit in it as is. What a waste of money. I don't know what we'll do with the extra base. I got it early this year as a gift and not sure if I can return it. Clearly we have to purchase another car seat.

I think this is a great car seat! I have no problem tightening it. The car seat clicks in easy and is light weight. We were in an accident with our 3 month old and totalled the car. Our son was untouched and very safe during the accident, we were so thankful. I would definitely recommend this car seat !

This is the biggest waste of money and the worst car seat. My 3 month old barely fits it in anymore. The gray lining comes out on the bottom but the headrest does not. It can be moved up but he is very uncomfortable and it strains his neck. He barely fits in this and is so cramped he cries every time we travel. We now have to buy another car seat. very disappointed and would not recommend.

I got this cars seat for my baby shower. I was so excited to use it because I have the baby jogger Citi mini GT stroller. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it was very uncomfortable for my baby. The headrest felt tight, he couldn't move his head side to side and the straps were a nightmare. Plus, I had to get an adapter to use the car seat for the city mini GT. I believe it is not worth the money to get this car seat. There are plenty of other ones that are more comfortable for the baby.

I read A LOT of reviews before i purchased this car seat for baby #4. As soon as it got here i opened it up and placed my 19 month old 22lb baby in it and she fit perfectly! I had to take out the newborn insert and move the head rest all the way up.. but she was NOT squished at all. For her car seat we used the Britax 35 elite, which i loved but was SUPER heavy and narrow. That is why i went with city go for baby #4!! I am so happy i picked this car seat over the britax! We love it!!!

I believe some people are having user error issues. We have had this car seat for the last 4 months, brought home our newborn, and he has grown quite a bit since then. The headrest adjusts, so do the straps. He is 27 inches and 17 lbs now and still fits in there perfectly. It is simple to put him in the car adapter and the stroller. I have never owned a car seat that is versatile and so easily handles. The same goes for the stroller (City Mini). I would recommend it and then some. We have taken it on vacation. I have put it in and out of the trunk with basically one hand. I would buy it again -- hands down.

I purchased this car seat because I loved the city mini gt travel system. As a system it took me a while to be comfortable placing the car seat in the stroller the right way the first time. I also get nervous every time I place the car seat in the base even if I hear multiple clicks indicating it is in place and despite me pulling upwards on it to ensure it's locked, I still occasionally hear it fully click in place as I put my brakes on. My biggest disappointment is that the seat CAN NOT be tightened with the seat in the base. Very disappointing when I need to take baby out for different needs. At this point he still pretty much stays in the car seat at all times, I can't imagine what it will be like when he is bigger and I don't carry him around in it. I also find him to always be hot when in it as well. I love the canopy and I feel safe with him in it. That should be the most important thing. I'm a first time mom, although I love my system overall I would think twice next time because the features I love don't make-up for the inability to tighten the straps while the seat is in the base.

We have had this car seat since our son was born (he is now 15 mos old and 23 lbs). There is no way that a child up to 35 lbs could fit in this seat; he is already almost too big for it (surprised that others with a baby just a few mos old would say the same thing though...) The main reasons I wouldn't really recommend the seat are that 1, it is really hot. Since you can't remove the head piece, my poor little guy's head is just dripping in sweat on warm days when he rides in this. Also, the liner is not easy to clean--at least I can't figure out a way to remove the black fabric without damaging the seat thus I have just spot cleaned it for 15 mos and it is pretty gross by now. In addition, I agree with the comment of one of the reviewers that I bought this rather than the Graco seat as I didnt want to have to buy adaptors, for the stroller but it needs adaptors anyway--it comes with a set when you buy the travel system, but I fly a lot so those have snapped off once already and I have had to replace them-- I have also forgotten them before, making it unusable as a system...

The car seat worked great... for a total of 5 weeks until our baby hit 12 lbs. Now he doesn't even fit in it. We literally have to squish him in there and it's so uncomfortable. We thought we'd be able to adjust it grow with him, but we were wrong. After spending our money on the system and two bases for each of or cars, we've used by it a total of 5 times and now it's worthless.

My daughter is now nine months and she had been in his car seat since day 1. I think a lot of reviewers don't realize that the head rest is adjustable-it slides up and down via a clip in the back. Super easy to adjust with one hand! (I don't know why babyjogger doesn't make this more clear in the response to reviewers!). I haven't had a problem with the straps either. When baby so strapped in, I adjust the straps so the slack is by her shoulders (as opposed to her waist) then easily tighten as needed. Pros- easy to strap in using seatbelt, Baby is comfy and cozy, I find it super easy to adjust, and the seat can be pulled apart and machine washed (done many times!) Cons- My daughter does run warm and her head would be a little sweaty on hot days, I wish there was a single button on top of the handle to adjust the handle back and forth (there are two buttons on both sides that both need to be pushed, making it a two handed job to rotate the car seat handle). Overall, I am extremely happy with it. I have watched a few videos too to better understand how the system works- these were helpful.

Do NOT buy this car seat! We are so disappointed. It claims it can hold up to 35lbs, not a CHANCE. My 12lb baby screams when I put her in it because it is waaaaaay to tight on her. I can't believe we spent so much money on a product that lasted us 3 months. So disappointing.

I am so upset, our daughter hates this car seat with a passion. We cannot go anywhere. Every time I pull her out (with her in hysterics, mind you) she is boiling hot and sweating. What is the deal? We purchased this incredibly expensive travel system based on great reviews including two bases for my husband and I, and now I'm seeing that this may actually be one of the worst car seats on the market. I'm so disappointed and will likely never buy another city go product for our kids after this experience.

I regret getting my little one this car seat so much! From the start she was very uncomfortable in it. The straps are so tight she literally screams every time we strap her in. She's only 15 lbs and doesn't fit in it anymore. On top of everything, it is incredibly complicated to attach it to the stroller with the adapter. It takes me 5 or 6 tries everytime. I hate it! And it's super heavy! Very regrettable purchase. Now we have to go and spend more money on another car seat.

While our overall experience with this travel system is good... the ease of opening and closing the stroller (itself), the ease of maneuvering it around stores/aisles/corners, and the weight of the system is easily handled. However, our experience with the actual car seat and its headrest is something we aren't fans of. We had a premature baby, and the seat itself was perfect sized. She is now growing, and it appears that her head is being smushed by the headset that makes for an uncomfortable ride, since you can not remove it. Like the others who reviewed this after the fact, I, too, don't see how a baby can grow up 35lbs in this car seat; the circumference of their head will surely outgrow it sooner than that.

Until now I have been relatively pleased with my City Go. My daughter is very comfortable in it (although she doesn't look like it) and sleeps very soundly while in her seat. I like the substantial headrest as it seems to provide much more protection than most infant seats that only have a flimsy cloth headrest. She gets very hot in the seat, but I am not sure that can be helped considering she is surrounded with padding for her safety. One significant negative is how hard it is to connect the seat with the Baby Jogger City Select stroller. You have to buy additional adapters even though you are staying with a City Select product. The main issue is that it is very hard to line the carrier up on the adapters correctly for a secure latch. Often the carrier appears to be connected, but if you pull up hard enough you find it comes right off. You have to try repeatedly to connect it before finally hearing that "click" to let you know it's latched, which is not at all easy with a baby (especially a sleeping one) in the carrier. This has always concerned me as I fear sometime I will mistakenly think it is latched and my carrier and baby will fall. This issue has caused me to not use my carrier/stroller combo on numerous occasions due to the difficulty or not wanting to wake my baby trying to get it attached. My main issue with the carrier now is that it will not last us as long as the size and weight limits indicate. My daughter is nowhere near the weight limit (she's 18 pounds) or the height limit (she's 28 inches), but the headrest is much too small for her now. It literally presses on the sides of her head, which I cannot allow to continue. This is a huge negative for me as I purchased this carrier with the understanding it would last much longer as the specifications indicate. If I had known we would only get to use it this long I would have made a different decision...especially for the price!

So far we are very happy with this product, not sure why it has so many negative comments. I noticed many complaints about the headrest and strap adjusting. I have not had any such problems, I love how easy it is to adjust the height on the headrest and adjust the straps. I also think that it all depends on where you place the seat to put baby in. I noticed when I have placed the car seat on a softer surface it does make it more difficult to tighten the straps and/or loosen. However, when on a hard even surface i've never had any trouble. My only complaint is that it is very hot, do notice that my baby's back is always very warm regardless of the temp. maybe the material used could be a bit more breathable. Also not sure if my baby will really be able to use this until she meets either the weight or height limits. She is currently 7 months, 20 lbs, and 28" her little feet stick out already! Overall we are very happy with this purchase and love how easy it is to use.

Overall, it's okay. I had a Peg Pergo Car Seat and I love it (gave it away to family member to use). I don't like how the straps get's tangled/twisted around, even though the headrest is adjustable it needs to add another level or two upward. I love the oversize canopy, handle bar, fabric, car seat base (easy click) and tiny loop to hang a toy. The car seat is over price considering the max length is 32 inches (should be 35 inches) and cheap straps.

I got this car seat as part of the travel system with the city mini GT. My baby is almost 3 months and is hysterical every time we put her in. They headrest is hard to get adjusted correctly, it always seems to high or too low. She's always smushed in there and ive tried it with and without the infant body support. Her body is always very hot when I take her out of the car seat, even with just a onesie on and AC in the car. I can't take her on walks in the stroller and even going short distances is very distressing for me :( I don't know what to do as this was a very expensive system and we have two bases for it as well.

I feel like this product isn't getting the proper reviews it deserves. We were having the same problems as everyone else, the straps tangles up all the time and were hard to pull and the headrest was hung too low/fit too tight. I don't think people realize that while you can't remove the headrest completely, you can adjust it to move it up. We did this when my daughter was about 3 months and we have no more issues with the straps and no more tears when she goes in the car seat! The only thing that I find annoying now is that if you don't click it into the stroller just right, it's arduous to unclick it and click it in again, it gets a little stuck. Besides that, we are very happy with the car seat.

I bought this car seat because I'm a big fan of the stroller that matches and wanted easy compatibility. It is the hardest car seat straps to tighten and literally hurts my wrists every time. My husband has to do it for me and even he has a hard time. The other issue I have with it is the padding does not come out. My daughter basically outgrew this seat by 4 months old. I was able to remove the bottom pads to create more room (and probably less comfort!) but the upper ones won't come out and her shoulders are being smushed down. It's frustrating to have to go buy a new infant car seat for only a few more months and an extra base for my husbands car.

My baby is now 11 months old and still loving her city Go car seat. I like how lightweight it is and when she was younger I used it with my City Mini stroller with ease. I agree with all of the other folks though that you CANNOT tighten the straps completely when the seat is in the base. You have to have the seat off the base in order to do this. I thought it was maybe just me, but now seeing all the other reviews, I thought I would chime in. There seems to be a design flaw here.

Overall we really like this car seat! We never have had any issues tightening the straps as some previous posters have mentioned. The extra head support is awesome. Baby looks so much more comfortable when sleeping with that head support. We love the giant canopy, just wish it was quieter when moving it so it didn't startle a sleeping babe. I do wish it came with the adapters for our stroller (Summit X3). I feel like that should be a perk of purchasing it as a travel system. Overall very happy with the safety features and use!

I love this car seat for the most part. When it is out of the base it is easy to get the baby in and out. I feel like our baby is securely in the car seat. But, when the car seat is in the base in the car it is impossible to completely tighten the straps unless you unlatch it from the base. This will be quite an issue as my baby gets older and heavier and it will be difficult to lift the seat out of the base slightly so I can tighten the straps. Other than that I am enjoying it.

I have had a really difficult time with this car seat. My baby is 7 weeks old now and she fits well in the car seat but it's incredibly difficult to tighten the straps around her. My husband has to come and do it for me and even he has a hard time. As a working mom who is often alone with the baby, it's worrisome to wonder if my baby is safely secured in the car seat because of these issues. It's also very expensive to have such issues at this price point.

I love the ability to use without a base. This came in handy when on vacation or just getting an uber somewhere. I also love the stylish design and adjustable base. It was easy to install. The adjustable headrest was also a great feature. SPF50 shade!

I want to love this seat. So much so that I've waited 4 months to write a review. I thought my baby getting bigger would help.... nope. The straps will not get tight by pulling the tightening strap. I have to reach under the seat and tighten it. So frustrating. And if I ever try to tighten it by pulling on that strap as much as it will when it is in the base it flips up the piece that holds down the latch straps in the base. So frustrating!! I am so disappointed and really wish I could buy a different seat. Also within less than a month of year wear was showing on the fabric where my baby's feet go. I hope that doesn't affect the integrity of the seat! And you really have to put it into the base at the right angle for it to securely click into place.

We love our city go! Our LO always seems super secure. We love the extra head support, the extra hook in the back for when we are not using the base (on vacation) and how light weight it is. We have never had an issue with the straps being difficult to use.

As a first time mom, I purchased what I thought would be the safest and most convenient reaver system. Unfortunately, I chose incorrectly because the car seat itself is difficult to carry because the base is extremely heavy. Then to make matters even worse, my baby always looks slouched in the car seat and that does not seem comfortable at all! Disappointed would be an understatement.

Agree with the previous reviewer, very difficult to adjust straps and pull tab needs to be adjusted underneath in order to tighten or loosen the belt. Which is practically impossible with the baby in the seat already. Purchased this as the travel system seemed appealing for its ease of use but have found it to be difficult.

Comfortable and looks great, but does not easily tighten. It is very difficult to get the straps tight enough on the baby. The pull tab does not work well on it's own, so you have to reach under and thread it through to get it secure. This does not allow for you to take baby in/out while it is still attached to the base in the car which is very inconvenient. Not a great design. Also, I purchased this to go easily with the Citi Mini GT but you still have to buy adapters so it is not as seamless as it could be.

I put the baby jogger on my registry on the recommendation of the sales associate in the store and I'm kind of regretting it. No matter how much I adjust the headrest in the car seat my baby always looks uncomfortable because of the headrest. I really wish it was removable. My mom always says he looks as if he is in an shell because he looks all squished in his car seat. Also, I wish they would have put the warning sign somewhere else. I mean, I know they have to make customers aware but I think there could have been other places to put it. My baby is only 3 months old and weighs 13lbs and he barely has anymore room with the straps. They are extended to their maximum so in about 2 months or so I won't be able to use this car seat. Maybe it would work great with petite babies, but not if your baby is a little chunky. As for the stroller I like how it drives, but I don't like the way you have to adjust the backrest. You have to pull the straps and hold together the clip and it can be difficult if the baby is sitting on the stroller. Also, the storage space is vey tiny. I think it's great if your sole purpose is only to use it to jog, but as a daily stroller I don't recommend it.

This travel system (we bought everything separately) has been SO easy to use and my baby falls asleep immediately when placed into it. We have a sedan and a jeep, both idiot-proof to install. The car seat by itself is easy to pop into someone else's car, lightweight, and slips in and out of the base and stroller like a dream. The pieces are not terribly complex to take apart and wash. I also love the heavier weight limits compared to other car seats. All in all, I would definitely repurchase over again.

Lighter feel and easier to carry than my Chico and it's much sleeker looking. We love this car seat and all the city select gear!

I am a fairly new customer. Bought my city select about 2 months ago. I don't know why I waited so long to find this amazing stroller! My husband and I have decided that this will be our baby shower gift from now on! New moms don't know a lot about this kind thing and we want to show them how awesome it can be! I love everything about it, being able to switch around, forward facing, rear facing, single, double, bassinet, seats, car seat, layed down, sitting up, and so much more. I love how little it folks, even with both seats on. I love how it steers, and pushes, even with my 3yo in the front seat, I love the heavy duty tires and fabric. The most thing I love is the versatility! It beats any stroller I have ever seen. Good job baby jogger!

Purchased this car seat and an extra base for our first child! Easy to install, lightweight, and stylish. Obviously safety comes first...and so far so good! Has a long expiration date as well so hoping to use this for our next child as well!

We bought the City Mini stroller for our first born and updated to the City Select when we were preparing to add our second. Love, love how easy these strollers are! Would definitely buy again.

Would recommend this car seat to anyone. Best one for new moms with babies on the way.
