My son is 3 months old and even now the car seat fits him small, another thing that this material makes my baby sweat a lot, honestly if I knew I would have purchased a different car seat.

We bought the travel system for our baby who is now 10 months old and I get stressed out every time I need to put him in the infant seat. While we are able to adjust the headrest, the straps are SO hard to adjust and constantly tangle up. I physically cannot pull the strap to tighten, my husband has to do it - so pathetic. My son is hysterical every time we put him in and gets so hot and sweaty. I love that we can travel without the bases, but I am regretting the considerable expense of the overall purchase, considering how stressful it is compared to other options and likely will not even be usable if we have a second child. I wish I had known...

This car seat has been great since day 1! A lot of the reviews seem to be user error to me! I've had no problems with this seat. I do have a smaller baby but she's 5 MO and still comfortable in chair. I love the quality and how padded the seat is compared to others. Surprised to see such a low rating on this seat. We also love our GT stroller.

As a first time mom, I was super excited and bought this with the travel system. Initially I was excited but once or little guy came to the world we realized we should've reviewed this product more. Our son is a little guy but still is squished in this. Shoulder straps always seem to get stuck and won't tighent more. No matter how we adjust the head rest/holder it squeezes him so much that his ears fold. What's worse is he's always super hot in this. I always have to make sure he's basically in just a onesie and ac on or else he's sweating. We also have problems attaching or having it click onto the stroller. It's a hassle with this and I wish I would've reviewed more before taking the leap on spending so much.This stroller isn't even 1 year old and we already have a negative experience. 

We registered for the stroller and the car seat together because we figured that would be the easiest. The stroller is great, but the car seat is not ideal. Our son is almost 5 months old and is getting too big for the seat. When we bought the car seat, we figured that once the inserts came out he would have more room.. but only the base support comes out. The head support does not. It's unfortunate that it looks like we may have to buy a new car seat to use until he's big enough for the next level. Would recommend the stroller, but definitely get a different car seat.

I bought this car seat along with the stroller, but my 3 month old baby hardly fits any more ... and also every time I leave more than 30 minutes, he gets sweaty and irritated. In other hand I found it easy to install and handle!

This is our second infant car seat -with our first we had the Chicco Key Fit but decided to go with the City Go because we love the stroller. We had a preemie baby and it worked okay at first, we had the same issues with the straps and adjusting it as other reviewers. We've adjusted the headrest and taken out padding as our baby has gotten older (he's 16 lbs now). My biggest complaint with it is that it doesn't click into the base easily. Too many times to count I thought I had it in (wiggled it in and it 'clicked') but I'm driving off and the whole thing 'clicks'. Yikes! It's a good thing we haven't tested the safety with a car accident, I don't think it's been completely locked in most of the time.

I wanted to love this seat, as I love the Baby Jogger stroller we have and it's visually appealing. The problem is that my baby is 2.5 months and it is SO snug! It forces his chin into his chest with the angle it's at, despite fitting it to his size. We tried him in a friend's car seat to see the fit difference, and after seeing the difference, the City Go is just too slim and uncomfortable. After all the money spent, I'd hate to get rid of the car seat after such a short period of time, but I also don't want to keep him in a car seat that isn't comfortable.

We loved the stroller, so like many of you, we purchased the travel system. After using the car seat for the first month with our baby we didnt love the seat but also didnt hate it. Our baby is now six months and much much bigger (but still a normal sized baby) and I can tell you that I pretty much hate it. Here is whats up: First, the straps -- They are tight, not easy to loosen. They get caught under the baby when putting her into the seat. Second, the headrest. It makes the car seat so small. She will surly outgrow this seat any day now (again, normal sized 6 month old). Third, canopy. Its BIG and loud. If your baby falls asleep in the cars seat and you need to take her out of the seat but the canopy is extended, then you will absolutley wake her up. Now, even if it isnt extended and you are removing your sleeping baby from your car and the handle is positioned forward for safety, you will have to extend the canopy to put the handle back in the upright position to get it out of your car. Thus waking her up, every single time she gets out of the car (AHH). There is not enough clearance between the closed canopy and the handle. Total bummer. Four, the price. Its expensive compared to some much more comprehensive car seats.

Registered for the entire travel system. I am a HUGE fan of the stroller and how easy and lightweight it all is. However, we are having a huge issue with the car seat itself. My son (currently 4 months old, 15.5 lbs.) despises getting in it, as he seems to be so crammed in there. I've removed the seat padding, but his head is so jammed in, that his little ears are completely folded. Will need to purchase another car seat so that he can tolerate car rides.

I bought this travel system for my newborn. I love the stroller, it's easy to fold, lightweight and steers easily. My only complaint about the stroller is the basket underneath is very small and doesn't even fit my (small) diaper bag. The car seat I'm not happy with. Clicking the car seat into the base is a breeze, it clicks right into place with no issue. Clicking it into the adapters on the stroller is a whole other issue though. It's extremely difficult and needs to be lined up just right to lock into place properly. If it's even slightly off it will click into place and sounds like it's locked in properly, but the carseat will tip backwards which seems extremely unsafe. I have to click and re-click numerous times every single time I use it to get it locked into place correctly. I'm very frustrated with this as the last thing you want to do when out with a newborn is worry about the carseat flopping out of the stroller or spending 20 min locking it into place correctly every time you use it.

My son is almost 4 months old and we are already in need of a new car seat. We bought the travel system because we were in love with the stroller. Every time we put him in the car seat he starts crying. We have to pull over and take him out so that his back will air out. It's winter and we can't ride with the heat on in the car because he will over heat. At times his back is literally wet from sweating and the temperature in the car is 71 degrees and he's wearing a thin onesie. It's very frustrating because I can only go short distances before having to pull my son out of the seat for a break. At this time I cannot use the stroller because my son can't stand to be in the car seat so I'm stuck carrying him in an infant carrier when we are out shopping.

... we're having the same problems as most of the other people here. We've had the headrest at the maximum height for months, and my son is uncomfortable at only 19 lbs. We were hoping to make it at least to his 1st birthday before we switched to a convertible, but there's no way we'll get there. He also HATES this seat- screams and screams every time we put him in there. Aside from the fact that our son outgrew this so fast, which would be bad enough on its own, the straps are obnoxiously hard to tighten, the seat is horribly hot, and it takes a thousand tries to get it clicked into place on the stroller adaptors. It also frequently gets stuck in the base. I wish we could return this. Instead of being able to wait until we got gift cards/money for his birthday, we're now going to have to put out the money to get a convertible seat several months earlier than planned. The only positive is that it's lighter than most of the other seats we looked at, which is good because I'm very petite. Next baby is getting a Britax.

I purchased the car seat with the travel system. I'm having to purchase another car seat because this one is too small for my son, who just turned 7 months in January. He is currently 17 pounds, 5 ounces and is 26 inches long. I am also having difficulty using the carseat with the base. For some reason, when I tighten the straps at the shoulders, the lock-off that holds the latch belt comes undone. Therefore, I have to lift the carseat out of the base to lock it back up. This happens almost every time I tighten his shoulder straps. For the amount of money paid, there shouldn't be any problems with the size or functionality of this carseat.

Bummer- we have only gotten 5 months use out of this- it is great but only until about 5 months average size. WASTE as we bought two carries and two bases. Time for a graduating car seat WAY earlier than expected. SAVE YOUR MONEY and get something that grows with baby. Shoulder pads only go up so far. Bottom pad comes out - but then baby doesn't have soft seat anymore. Stroller awesome but skip car seat.

this carseat is perfect! its not too heavy or bulky! Our son loves it and fits perfectly. He was a preemie so he is on the smaller side but even know at 9 lbs fits great. He loves it so much he falls asleep almost immediately once we buckle him in!

We bought this seat to go with our city mini gt stroller. We have been using it since the day we brought our son home from the hospital...he is now 5 months old so I would say we definitely have had the product long enough to leave an honest review. I do not understand for the life of me how anyone finds this car seats straps hard to adjust. It is the easiest seat ever and strapping my son in takes me less than a minute, including tightening/adjusting the straps. My niece whom I also care for has the Maxi Cosi infant seat, and THOSE are a pain in the butt. Everything on this seat is adjustable and we have obviously had to make adjustments as my son is 6 inches bigger now than the day we brought him home. He still fits perfectly in the seat and I intend to use it for another 4 months when we will switch to a convertible car seat.

We bought the car seat as part of a travel system for our son. I absolutely LOVED the whole system and the seller for me was how easily the stroller moved. In the beginning months, the car seat was great. Especially for our premie as he fit in the seat nicely right off the bat. However, we started having the same issues as I see many parents are having or have had. The headrest is completely impossible to work with. As the baby grow, the headrest should be removable. Now my 5 month healthy baby boy cannot fit comfortably in his seat. He is not even able to move his head in the slightest. I feel the same as many other parents here. I wish there would've been more reviews for us to read before we determined this was the right choice for us.

My 4month old doesn't fit in the baby carrier anymore just like everyone's else complaint. It's unreal how you spend so much money on something that's going to have to get replaced in such a short amount of time. My child only weighs 12lbs. 35lbs it says...yeah right!

This car seat is unbelievably easy to use. The adjustment is on the back and I only have to use 1 hand to do it. You don't have to remove any piece of this car seat to adjust straps or headrest. It all move so seamlessly with the adjustment handle in the back. I wish I had this with my first born. It also clicks easy into both baby jogger strollers we have (both city mini GT and GT double). Buy this seat and read the instructions. It seems user error is a huge factor in the reviews of this seat. Btw. My child is 18lbs and isn't even close to outgrowing this.

I was super excited about this car seat arriving for my baby, now 10 months old. We do love the softness of the material and how it washes up nice. The only down fall is that sometimes it's challenging to click into the base. I did notice that she gets sweaty when riding in it ( grated we do live in the south) and the buckle straps get twisted all the time. Ending on a more positive note, it doesn't show evidence of a lot of wear like my friends car seats.

I love the car seat when we got it-now that the baby is bigger (she is 4 months and only just 12 lbs) the straps twist and it seems too small. I looked in the manual and it says to not use the body support with a baby over 12lbs. It highlights the headrest & body support. When we take the headrest off it just it styrofoam so that;s not right. I am seeing in reviews that you can't take the head rest off. Why does the manual say to take it over but you can't. I have a tiny baby and I will be really mad if we have to get a new one after a short period of time as the reviews are saying..I'm afraid the baby will out grow it by 7 months or so. I love the stroller but am worried about the use of the carseat as it's geting hard to keep the baby comfortable & hard to tighten-I'm afraid to take her places since I can't get it tight enough.

My daughter is only five months old and definitely under the height and weight limit, but she is already so squashed in this car seat. I feel bad for her every time we have to buckle her in and tighten the straps, because they push her shoulders down, which prevents us from properly tightening them all the way. I bought this car seat as a travel system with my GT, but really regret getting it. It's not a cheap purchase, especially for what it offers.

Extremely unhappy! This is the first time I've ever written a review and it's because I am so sad! This car seat was a gift to us and my baby is smushed. I honestly dread taking my baby places because of this car seat. He is only 4 months and he's out grown the car seat. I understand that i can adjust it however he still is so uncomfortable!

After reading some of the negative reviews I decided to comment on how much I like this product. I'm 90% sure the problems people have is due to operator failure and not the product. I have found the product easy to use in the car, but had to explain several times to my wife how she was putting it in the base wrong. You need to read the direction on this seat, it has a lot of features like the adjustable head support. Also the directions clearly say the body support is not to be used over 12 lbs, so the one review I saw of someone upset about the 18 lbs baby, yea, you should have adjusted your seat when the baby got bigger. Our 6 mo old is very happy with the seat and likes to nod off when she gets in, so I assume she finds it comfortable. I have adjusted it about 4 times since she was born too accommodate changes in her height and weight.

I bought the travel system and I could not believe after one month my son started to feel so uncomfortable. Why do the make car seats not proper for babies. This is a waste? What am I suppose to do now??

I purchased this car seat along with the stroller for my son. He is now six months old. The headrest is hard and tight on him and He has hated being in the seat ever since birth. I am going to have to purchase another infant seat because he has our grown the headrest portion of the seat. The car seat is near impossible to get into the attachments to the stroller. For the amount of money I paid for both of these item I would never recommend the products to anyone.

I've been using this for 4 months now and my kid is just over 13 pounds and 25 inches long (she started at just over 6 pounds). We've adjusted the head rest up a few times now as she's grown and still use the padded insert. It's easy to get into the base in the car- in a small, 2-door car no less- and it's easy to click into the City Mini stroller. The straps do twist sometimes but you just untwist them; it takes two seconds. I also like how the grooves in the sides, meant for the car lap belt if you don't have the base handy, is good to hold the shoulder straps aside as you place the baby in the seat. My kid is pretty happy- she sleeps on walks in the stroller, sleeps in the car. No baby likes getting in and out of a car seat so sometimes she cries, but that's being a baby. Once we're moving she's happy, so I assume she's comfortable in this seat. I think one of the best things about this is that it can be used without a base- this is very helpful for babysitters and travel without our own car.

My baby is two months old and does not fit into this seat. Just like the review below me said - the top padding does not come out - why not? how do you expect me to strap this baby to the seat when he's so squished? Remember to add winter clothes and I basically can't even use this car seat. I'm so upset!

I am so disappointed in this car seat. What everyone says is exactly true- my baby is covered in sweat whenever she rides in this seat, she's almost outgrown it at 3 months, and we're both miserable. I will have to purchase a new car seat :(

Just like almost every review here I'm disappointed with this seat. Unfortunately it could only be used a few months. My baby also cries every time we put her in. Even in 30 degree weather she's soaking sweat on her head when we remover her. The headrest has been fully lifted and smashes into her shoulders. I love the stroller but fully regret buying the whole travel system as the seat is ONLY useable for about 6 months with a normal size baby despite height and weight listed on the product.

I had and used it for over one year. My LO is over 31" now and she still fits inside. Easy to adjust and to attach with the seat belt. It can get hot in there, but that would be the case with any car seat! It's not a mesh hammock! It's made to protect our babies. The materiel is of very good quality. The seat by itself isn't heavy compared to other products. It is easy to wash. I came on the website to check the manual and was surprised to see it has 2.2/5! IMO it definitely deserves more than that. In any case, I don't regret my purchase and recommend it to friends (along with the city mini GT :D)

i think i have a same problem with everybody else! when I bought this car seat, I feel so safe for my newborn, but after 4 months using it, my baby hates to sit in this, it was getting really hot and really tight for her , it was really uncomfortable ,that's break my heart ! She's is 4months 16lbs now ,I keep reading the label and I don't think my daughter is big enough to reach a max weight to sit in this ! if my daughter wearing a jacket before I put her in the car seat, and I can't bucket it up without a crying ! it is too tight and too small! I feel like I need a bigger seat !

I bought the travel system because the stroller came highly recommended, and I do love the stroller. However, my son is 4 months and already outgrowing the car seat. I didn't realize the padding was not removable and now will have to buy a new car seat and basically wasted money on this one. Such a waste of money.

Really want to like this product but my baby hates it. Screams every time we put her in it. She seems very uncomfortable and scrunched in there. We have the head rest to the highest position already and she is only 4 months. The Car seat is very lite and works well with our stroller but we are in the process of looking for a new car seat already since as she gets bigger the more uncomfortable and screaming when we travel is getting worse :( huge bummer since we got this and attachments for the stroller.

Head padding does not come out. My son basically outgrew this seat by 6 (W17lb,H27 inches) months old. Width between upper padding is not enough for his head size since he was 4 months. Also his shoulders are smashed Everytime. When we bought the car seat it says in manual it is good for 35 lb baby. I assume company must have calculated average size baby in it ? As my son is below average in his size. It's frustrating to have to go buy a new infant car seat for only a few more months. If there is any solution to it please contact us so we can get use if this car seat longer

We purchased the full travel kit with stroller and car seat. Biggest mistake I made! The baby hates the car seat, she was only comfortable in it until she was about 3-4 weeks old. It's so uncomfortable and way too tight for the baby. It's also very hard to adjust and overall just not a good choice. We had to buy a whole separate car seat after spending all that money on this one.

I purchased the travel system for the ease and compatibility of the infant car seat. I love the stroller and car seat but I am extremely disappointed that the infant insert does not come out--my four month old is outgrowing it and now I will be forced to buy a new car seat. The amount of money this system costs the infant insert should be removable!!! It's so frustrating to have to buy a new one and spend more money.

I got the travel system and I absolutely love the stroller but the car seat is terrible. The straps/head rest are a pain and my newborn seems to be uncomfortable when I put him in it.

I was so excited to get the stroller and car seat for my baby. However, now my baby is 4 months old 27 in and 17lbs and he seems to have outgrown the car seat. The headrest is so hard and even tough we have adjusted it he still seems so uncomfortable. The worst part is that his ears get bent, sometimes we have long trips and I try to adjust his ears but they keep bending. I am so unhappy with this product. My friends have travel system strollers and did not pay as much as we did and their babies seem to be very comfortable.

I bought this for my first child and am now usin it with my second. I LOVE this car seat, so easy to use (popping it in and out of the car) i use it with the city mini gt stroller, the fabric has held up very well, easy to clean. I'm not understating other users reviews as my son used this seat until he hit the height limit. It worked well and i personally like the head reat staying on the seat as my kids heads won't fall forward and helps keep it upright. I dont have issues with tightening the straps at all. It's super easy. Also I love how easy this seat was to travel with and use without a base. I will buy another one of these seats when we decide to have a third.

We absolutely love the baby jogger mini gt stroller so when we were looking for a car seat we definitely wanted to check out baby jogger's new offering in a car seat. Initially the fabric seemed soft and we liked the large canopy. We figured lets just get the complete travel system. At the time, the car seat was relatively new and the available reviews were all extremely positive. That was 5 months ago and I deeply regret purchasing this car seat. When my son was a newborn the insert seemed to work well and I liked the headrest support. But he soon outgrew the insert in about a month and once removed it definitely gave him more room but he seemed to be sitting deeper in the seat causing him to have no neck. Not only that but now his head (which is average size based on WHO charts) is touching either side of the headrest. I know you can adjust the headrest up and down and it is in the proper location but it's so narrow that I am sure he will outgrow the width between the headrests in the next month. That will put him at an average 6 month old head circumference. How can this seat possibly fit a 32" tall 35 lb baby? I feel completely deceived and misled. Being a first time mom I never thought about the headrest but I now know the headrest is removable on other car seats. Baby jogger needs to come up with a fix for this. In the meantime spend the money on a different car seat.

We got the system with the City Mini GT stroller. I don't understand why so many reviews are staying that their babies don't fit, my guy is 8 months and now 22lbs and almost 29 inches with a large head and I do not feel like he is scrunched in the carseat, it seems to fit him well. My complaints though are that he gets so hot in the seat, often times he is hot and sweaty when we take him out of it. Also the release latch for the base and the stroller sticks a lot and often takes multiple attempts to release. My biggest complaint is the ease of use with the stroller, it is really difficult to line up the carseat in the right place. The first time I had to take him somewhere on my own was awful, I had a M.D. appointment and was outside in the heat trying to get his carseat attached to his stroller and after literally 30 minutes I gave up and had to carry him in the carseat a very long distance as I was late for my appointment. I had a c-section and had a really difficult time carrying him in this heavy carseat, my husband was usually there to help me but had a meeting that particular day and couldn't come, I called him up in tears from the parking lot. I now have a much easier time with it but if my parents watch him they have a hard time. This is definitely something that needs to be fixed. My son has had many blow out accidents in the seat and the ease of taking the pads out and back in to wash is very wonderful. I have read that many carseats do not allow for machine washing of the pads but this one does.

I had high hopes for this and bought the whole system. The straps are IMPOSSIBLE to get tight enough and my baby screams every time I have to jam him down in the seat. He's only 12 pounds and he barely fits. We are going to have to buy another car seat if he gets any bigger and the stroller part is useless until he's like 5.

We were reading reviews about the car seat after we bought it and discovered that the head rest is adjustable! We were having the same problem that others were having and after we read a response from Baby jogger, we figured it out! The adjuster is on the back of the car seat and it automatically adjusts your shoulder straps!! Now that we have figured this out we love this seat!!

Like other parents, I bought this car seat because it was a better deal to purchase the travel system rather than buy separately. What a mistake on my part. The car seat is advertised WITHOUT those stupid warning label patches on the sides of the headrest. My daughter immediately sweats with those ugly things there. The head rest is also a problem. You cannot remove it. So, baby can not fit comfortably in the seat. I hate this seat. My daughter cries every time I put her in the seat. The seat is also heavy. I doubt it really weighs the 10 lbs they advertise. My kid outgrew the seat immediately and now I have to buy another seat. Very disappointed. I am leaving negative reviews everywhere to warn parents NOT to buy this seat. I'm considering Britax for my next car seat.

Have had the City Go since my daughter was born (now 8 months) and it has worked just fine. The other reviews seem to be from people who are not using it correctly. Here's why I like it... easy to move the headrest up as baby grows... button/ strap for loosening and tightening is efficient and does not move too quickly which allows me to adjust the tightness without abruptly hurting my daughter... super easy to adjust the handle... seems comfy compared to other models we looked at... level indicators are easy to read... tilt knob is accessible and easy to adjust. I did not give five stars because I think the City Go lacks ease in tightening the strap for the base, and aligning it into the City Mini Stroller is tough.

While the quality of this item seems good, the seat is not breathable and for the first few months of my baby's life she's been drenched in sweat for every car ride (with LOTS of crying!). She has also nearly outgrown this carseat by 4.5 months even though all of her dimensions are well within the range advertised. Specifically, the headrest squeezes the side of her head, which looks very uncomfortable. (She is a slightly above average baby for her age, but her weight and dimensions are not nearly the max for the product limit). Disappointed as it's such an expensive car seat!

I bought this carseat because I have the city mini and wanted to keep together the matching parts for seamless use also I believed I could use it up to 35lbs. The carseat itself appears to be good quality however the straps are difficult to adjust/manage and it appears that at 4months 15lb my baby no longer fits comfortably in the carseat. I'm going to have to buy a new carseat after spending so much money on this one.

I purchased the City Go complete travel system, and even though I am very happy with the stroller, I cannot say the same about the car seat. We took our daughter out of the hospital in this car seat and it was good, but now that she is just three months old, she is very uncomfortable in it. It's too small for her already, she is squeezed in it, and I think that is definitively not good for her spine. Besides, it's also too hot, and she is always sweaty when we take her out of it. Moreover, it is so hard to tighten and loosen the straps; I need to ask my husband for help every time. All in all, this car seat does not live up to the expectations, my daughter hates it and suffers every time she is in it. I cannot believe I already have to buy a bigger car seat when this very expensive one was supposed to be good for a year. I would like to return it. It's only fair I am allowed to.
