First time using it and it only rocks for about two minutes then stops. Waste of money.

Expensive and malfunctions frequently! The track gets stuck all the time and the swing becomes very jerky and has even woke my baby instead of soothing him! The speeds don't seem to be different at all for having 5 options there seems to be no difference to me. Not to mention the cord comes out too easily from the base. Extremely dissatisfied with this purchase.

We were so happy with the 4moms mamaRoo that we subsequently (within ~1 month) bought the rockaRoo, infant bath, and breeze PLUS playard. Unfortunately, the rockaRoo has not performed as expected since purchase (purchased new). The rocking motion is not fluid at any level and it takes several moments to start the motion. Once started, after a couple of minutes (~2) the unit jerks, flashes, then turns off. We were hoping for a more reliable product from 4moms, this was a disappointment. Given two stars because we never used the warranty, our error. More detail - there were no obstructions while in use; we used a weighted test baby to troubleshoot above mentioned issues. My (engineer) husband took the top plastic piece off and confirmed that the seat rocks well on its own and the rope pulley mechanism is intact; however, the motor is pulling the ropes at the wrong time in the cycle (probably a control loop calibration problem). (Model # 4M-012-01)

Bought as a baby shower gift and baby is not with us as of yet

Baby didn't like it at first...now at 5 months she will stay in it. Not comfortable for a newborn and should come with a more interesting toy for babies. The toy still don't interest her at all.

We add this to our registry and we were very excited to try it out. Loved that it had a small foot print since we live in an apt and that it could rock out newborn. For the price it would be great if the mobile had a spinning feature, it's pretty useless. We had the rocker for 2 months and all of a sudden it started making a clicking noise when it rocked. Our baby was only 11lbs at two months. Also the Rockaroo should have 5 speeds but when we tried using the other speeds it didn't actually rock any faster than the first speed. Lastly having a port to connect your phone to the speaker in theory is a good idea but it's not realistic. When baby is in the rocker it's best to have a Bluetooth because leaving your phone plugged in is not going to happen. If you have an old iPhone or iPod than it might be a great idea to download music on to that and leave it attached to the Rockaroo. We returned the Rockaroo and purchased the fisher price Infant to Toddler Rocker which is less than a third the price and our son is much happier in it. I wanted to love this item, but it fell short.

I really wanted to like this swing....It's okay but I wouldn't purchase if I would have known i would little issues with it. It will turn off after a minute of using it, sometimes the swings starts to move really fast & uncontrollable ( we usually have it in the middle bubble ) that I have to stop it and take my baby out then resart it. It also has a grinding type of noise. It looks good and is compact compared to other swings.

I put this on my baby registry as a friend loved the mamaroo.... However the rockaroo is terrible. If i could return it I would. My baby hated the seat and got hot and sweaty in it. He is now 4.5 months and I still can't use it. It bangs the baby back and forth and all of the speeds seem exactly the same. most of the time we get less than five minutes of not crying out of it and only when its not rocking. Absolute waste of money. Go buy a real swing... They rate terribly I've found but work better than this.

Stopped working after only a couple of uses which is sad because my baby loved it. Will try ordering a replacement cord before looking for a new swing.

We originally bought the rockaroo for my daughter and it was the only thing to help her sleep when she was gassy. Passed it down to my nephew and surprise- were expecting again! I cannot wait to use this for my son. I swear by them and recommend them to everyone.

So happy I had purchased the Rockaroo before baby came home! My daughter hated her bassinet and crib so she slept in the Rockaroo for naps and during the night. My daughter slept great in it whether it was rocking or not. Easy to use and easy to clean. Great product and very happy with it, should have saved some more $$ and purchased the Mamaroo though, even better! But the Rockaroo still defiantly gets the job done!

I just bought this item and my 2 month old hates it! The speeds are off and the sounds it has are too loud The top toys are worthless they don't move or anything they just fall off. As a daycare teacher this items provides no learning at all. Don't wait your money!!!

I would rather have bought a regular swing. It does not smoothly rock, it bangs. The toy at the top is worthless and would rather have a swing that plays simple baby songs than a spot for my phone. My son has never liked it!

I registered for this because it has a great look, is small, and I assumed it would be a great swing. Unfortunately the baby has always hated it. It has a bunch of settings but it is definitely the same speed. It bangs so it's not smooth. The ball toys fall down easily and they don't spin or anything. There's an iPod hookup but no automatic music.

This swing is a lifesaver! It takes up half the space of the traditional swing I had for my first child and makes hardly any noise. It's easy to put together and is cute to look at too. My little one loves this. The only down side is that the mobile doesn't spin, but other than that we are in love.

I was a huge skeptic. Being a third time mom, we've tried everything over the past nine years and I know what I like. Baby naps off and on all day in this rocker. Love it! The noise and motion is perfect. I wish it went one more notch down to go even slower but otherwise it's perfect.

Love this rockaRoo so much. It fits in our little apartment and does its job beautifully. It's design is just so brilliant- as a prior nanny, I had used so many different swings/bouncers and this is the first I feel that combines the concepts of all of them with a trim, classy design. Would definitely recommend!

My baby is only 2 weeks old haven't been in the swing three times and it already stopped working. This is by far the worst item I have ever ordered. Will never purchase anything from this company again.

This was given to us b/c we put it on our registry but honestly our lil guy doesn't even enjoy sitting in it. The speed settings all seem to be the same no matter what setting you have it on. He also gets bored after 2 minutes of being in the swing. You would think for as much as this seat costs the little color balls that hang out over your kid would move on their own but they don't. Even with the seat on the highest setting(which looks super sketchy) the balls don't really move. I will say the removable cloth is nice so you can wash it when need be. Its also very easy to move around the house and sits on places like your dinning table or countertop. Personally I wouldn't purchase this seat with my own money; or recommend to a friend.

I absolutely love my rockaroo!! It's so easy for Emerald to fall asleep in. I love how it snuggles her up. Plus it's sleek design actually looks good in my house!

My son is 9 weeks old and LOVED the rockaRoo until he grew out of it. It's too bad it couldn't grow with him as he's abnormally large and is working on sitting up on his own, as the motion soothed him perfectly when he was fussy and I couldn't hold him or wear him. We usually kept it on the lowest setting, especially as he mostly used it for daytime naps and calming his crankies. I was worried the higher settings would launch him out, but it was more an irrational new mom fear than anything substantiated. We got use of the newborn insert and highly recommend it as well. I really wish we could keep using it as he loved it. My only complaint is that the mobile thing doesn't move on its own. That was kind of cheesy.

The rockaroo is totally the best thing ever. It's been the only thing our daughter will sleep in since birth and she's now 4 months. This product is a life saver for parents with babies simply amazing! Love it love it love it

My baby hated all swing and seats until we got the RockaRoo. It is a great product that he loves and uses everyday.

We purchased the rockaRoo (after reading many positive reviews) because we liked the design and we have a small city apartment and did not want an ugly swing that would eat up too much space. Unfortunately, the motion was too subtle for our little one, now ten weeks old. We were gifted a traditional swing and she loves it; I guess the bigger range of motion of a standard swing is more her speed (pun). So we begrudgingly returned the rockaRoo.

Our 5 week old baby has loved his rockaroo since the day we brought him home. It's smaller size works good for us so it can stay in our living room without being in the way. I do wish the balls above it rotated, our baby loves to look at them especially when we move them.

I love my Rockaroo! As a Mom there are so many things to do and this has truly been a life saver for me. My baby girl thoroughly enjoys it. When babies visit my house they all love going for a ride in it :).

We got this rocker when my son was about two and a half months old.... he is now six months old has loved being in it since day one! First of all, it looks nice... very elegant and classy. Looks, however, has nothing to do with my excellent rating... the excellent rating is due to how much my son loves to be in it, how much it saves me in terms of time and energy, and the quality of the build. Looks would be secondary to all that. This is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone. Notes: 1. Noise: Bearable - but as quiet as one can hope for from a mechanical rocker. 2. Speakers/AUX connection: Acceptable - feedback noise can occur frequently depending what the AUX cord/media player is touching on the rocker. The speaker is serviceable... but it's not great, I usually use something else... or just play music straight from my iphone instead of connecting it to the rocker. 3. Size: Good size - doesn't take up much space and is not difficult to move around the house. 4. Wish list for future versions: Vibrator (I clip on the vibrator from my play pack and that works well enough)

I purchased this in April for our picky 8 week old son. It's the only swing that he would sit in without screaming! He loved the back and forth rocking motion vs the side to side of the mamaroo. Plus it is very compact and leaves a small footprint. The only thing I would change would be to make the straps removable so they could be washed.
