At first I was really worried, because while I LOVE the Mamaroo (seriously... adult version please!), my newborn wasn't a fan. He loved his vibrating chair, but the Mamaroo was a no-go. This replaced my beloved baby swing that made it through my other two boys and my cousin's son before breaking down, and I was disappointed. I just kept putting my son in and playing with the noise/movement settings. He'd fuss for the first couple of minutes and then I'd change the setting. Now it's my go-to lifesaver to help settle my little guy (1 month old) when nothing else will work. If you are struggling with your child not liking it, just keep trying and let them fuss a little bit before changing. Some kids, like mine, just need some time to get used to it.

This chair is excellent!! It keeps my little one content when it is needed. So happy with this purchase!!!

The mamaroo and the snuza are HANDS DOWN the best things I got for my baby. This is the only thing that will get my newborn to sleep at night. I was inclined not to buy it at first because I thought she would grow out of it quickly. But, let me tell you, we wouldn't have been able to get as much sleep as we have for the past 6 weeks without it. Life saver!!

We are so impressed with this baby seat and it appears well made and safe. Our baby is now 21 and she wished she had one!!. On a side note I am really impressed with the follow up on those reviews where there has been a problem. Not too many companies would even allow such reviews to be posted, and this company stands behind their products

I just got the mamaRoo a week ago. I love the moves and so is my baby boy, he is 3 months old. The only thing it kind of worries me is that in 2 months it might be too small for him, and thats why I gave it 4 stars.

Our 4-month-old never liked bouncy seats, swings, or really being put down. The mamaroo allows me to get a few things done, and she even fall asleep in it. Love this product - worth every penny!

Just got mamaRoo few days ago and really impressed with quality. I have only one question: have you considered creating adult version of this product? :-) The first thing any adult who sees mamaRoo in action says is: "I wouldn't mind swinging in one of those myself!". I wonder if there's something similar for adult body height/weight available on the market.

I received the MamaRoo from 4 Moms and I LOVE it! The motions are so soothing that I almost fall asleep just watching it. The moves are really natural so baby doesn't come dependent on the artificial movement of a "swing" to fall asleep. Best of all is it's size. It is very compact and has a really small footprint. Not something I can say about any other movement device on the market. It's also easily transported from room to room. And don't even get me started on how my husband loves the iPhone/Ipod docking station. These products are technically savvy and above and beyond the competition. Thank you 4 Moms. I had been wanting a mamaRoo for quite some time. I finally ordered directly from the 4moms website. I got it in 4 days with free shipping. I opened the box, everything was packaged perfectly. I was amazed at the quality of everything I unwrapped. It was easy to put together, and my 3 month old son absolutely loves it! He sits there smiling the entire time. This has been a true lifesaver and my 2 year old son is happy I can spend quality time with him again. This is an exceptional product and I have been recommending it to everyone I meet! I told my friends that this is hands down the highest quality, must have baby item on the market today!

Awesome product! We just returned another brand swing to get this. Wow what a difference. Overall, this is just very high quality, well thought out product - even down to the packaging details. It was so simple to put together (no tools needed!). Our baby was very relaxed in this plush mamaroo. Definitely recommend.

My son is a very cranky baby. He cries whenever he is put down and will only nap on me. We tried 2 different bouncers, 2 swings, 2 strollers, carseat, pack n play, bassinett, rock n play sleeper, a playmat, a highchair and whatever else we could think of, and absolutely nothing worked. My husband thought I was silly for trying the Mamaroo and said that I was just wasting money. I went ahead and ordered anyway. Customer service was amazing and 2 days later I had my Mamaroo. The first time I put my son in it he just relaxed and then fell asleep on his own. I was able to be hands-free for 40 minutes. Then he slept that night for 4 hours. He still dislikes everything we have in the house, but his Mamaroo never fails us. He has even started crying in my arms now and will quiet down in his Mamaroo. I can not even imagine going another day without one. I wish I could afford o have one upstairs too! I would not even think twice before ordering this knowing what I know now. Thank you 4moms for creating the Mamaroo!

Like many others I was drawn to the mamaRoo because of its looks (seriously does everything have to be pastel or have characters all over?). I researched and read every review I could find. Admittedly I was hesitant to purchase after reading complaints of the slow movement not being enough to soothe baby or babies disliking in general. I'm so glad I ignored them! We purchased a mamaRoo what ended up being days before my twins were born at 32 weeks. Because of the reviews (& price) we bought just one unit to see how it would work for us. From the moment the boys came home they have loved that seat and we quickly decided to purchase a second. Unbeknown to me, after hearing me rave about the seat, my friends gifted me another.. To be completely honest the second seat never sounded right from the time we first plugged it in. Within 2 days it began shutting off randomly. By day 5 it would not stay on for more than a few minutes. So I called customer service, before I could even finish explaining the situation the service representative was very apologetic. She assured me they would replace the seat immediately, & within a few days a replacement had arrived. We have had no problems out of the first seat or the replacement unit. Customer service was amazing and honestly that makes paying a little more for the mamaRoo worth it! For those of you concerned, as I was, with the speed of the seat, I can't imagine needing it to move any faster. We rarely operate the seats at half speed never mind any faster. One of my favorite purchases this time, I wish they had been available when my daughter was born!

I had read so many reviews regarding the MaMaRoo, and had checked it out compared to other swings. I was so excited to receive this for my baby shower! But to my utter disappointment, my baby liked nothing about it; from the beginning she did nothing but cry when I put her in it. No matter what the movement. I rated this a 3 because I am not able to tell if it was just a preference of my child, or if it came down to the product. She will sit in a regular swing at day care, loves the floor gym and her exersaucer. I think in all totality, and my baby is now 5 months old, she has probably sat in the MaMaRoo about 45 minutes or less. So now I plan to sell it. And I had one other small complaint - when we received it, one of the LED lights in the display flickers non-stop. **Edit from 4moms Customer Support: Hi Valerie, I'm really disappointed, too, to hear that the mamaRoo hasn't worked out for your little one. My baby spent a week in the NICU and because she was the fussiest of all the babies she used the only mamaRoo in the NICU. I didn't realize how amazing the mamaRoo was until I brought her home and tried to put her in a baby swing or a baby papasan...she hated them! The price of a mamaRoo was a little steep for me but her pediatrician pointed out that if she slept it would be worth it. I am definitely not disappointed!

My sister-in-law went into labor 6 weeks early. Delivered a healthy little boy, but they were far from ready for the little pumpkin. A quick order from 4Moms, and 2 days later I had the Mamaroo and the Plush Insert since he is so small. After giving them their presents last night, I am the Uncle of the year! They are SO excited. The multiple positions, movemments and functionality of the Mamaroo, especially for a first time mom, is the biggest piece of mind knowing the baby will be safe, and having a great time! First of all I'm a Dad, and I don't know about the rest of you but this Dad doesn't do mommy web sites or reviews or baby blogs or any of that stuff. With that said I felt as compelled to write a review as I felt to buy the mamaRoo for my son the second I was it. There was no way I wasn't walking out of the store with one for him. It just looked way too cool, way too good, way too different and fresh and comfortable. All I have to say is this thing rocks, from the way it works to the way it looks, everything about it is top notch and my son absolutely loves it. From the second I put him in it I could tell I hit a home run with this. This is without a doubt, not even close, not by a long shot the best thing I've ever purchased for either one of my kids. I love this thing so much that I can't wait to hopefully pick up an Origami sometime in the near future. If it's anything like the mamaRoo in terms of quality, design and functionality I'm sure I'm going to be blown away. Anyway bottom line is, you need this bro. If not for your kid, for you. I get as much enjoyment out of it as my little guy does I'm sure. I have only I request, please, please make me one. Make one in my size, I'll do anything for it.

I absolutely LOVE my MamaRoo. When my son came home from the hospital he had his days and nights confused. To help fix that we started having him take his naps in the MamaRoo. Now 4 months later, I still use it every day. Whether just for a few minutes when i'm in the shower or for a 3 hour nap. I couldnt be happier! Best money I've spent on any baby product.

We bought this for our daughter's first baby. Mom,Dad and Baby just love it! They love all the great features. The Mamaroo takes the place of an infant seat and swing. This is all you need and takes up so little space! No more accumlating large baby equipment when you have a Mamaroo. Easy to transport from room to room and stable. We bought one to have at our home when the grand babies come to visit. It gives us that extra pair of hands to keep baby happy and content. The Mamaroo is very quiet and has gentle movement even on the fast speed. I would highly recommend this for any new parents and grandparents. We plan to purchase one as a gift for our son who is expecting their third in October. And will Highly recommend it to our local Children's Hospital. Great Invention! Thank you 4MOMS!

This isn't a bouncer or a swing, but a "soother" in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this for a screaming newborn who needs to be swaddled and swung with some force (Dr. Sears style), but this would be for the baby who is already in a somewhat content mood and you need to get things done in the house. We keep ours in the master bathroom and I put our daughter in it while I take long baths, get ready to go out, etc. She doesn't fall asleep immediately, but she sits very happily while swaying back and forth looking at the mobile. Eventually, she does usually nod off to sleep as well. It's so light and has such a small footprint that it is easy to move from upstairs to downstairs (I also really like using this in the kitchen while I am cooking). Since the movement is much more gentle than a fast swing, it's also great because your baby can stay in it for longer periods without worrying about a flat spot forming on either side of the head as can happen with the jarring back and forth movement of high powered swings. Because the purpose of this is different from that of a bouncer or a traditional swing, I don't think it makes sense to compare them. This really is in its own class and we are really happy with it. We brought our baby home from the hospital at 4 lb 5 oz and have been using it ever since.

expecting twins in December and found one mamaroo on a great deal and had to buy it. Cannot wait to fill it with one of my babies and possibly get a second after they come. I got the MamaRoo for my little baby girl who has reflux problems. I cant express how much this helped me comfort her. Using the MamaRoo helped keep baby in a comfortable position which helped with all the spit up. Its different positions gave us the ability to know what she liked best (Rock a bye =) I have 5 children and wished I would have been able to have made the same choice for all of the others, but glad I found it for my lil Eliana! The only thing would be that it does not move super fast as other swings like some babies might like or want, my lil one on the other hand enjoys it.

Brought as gift for my newborn grandson. This item seems to be over priced and it's really no different from any other baby swing. My grandson actually loves to sit in a different type swing than this one. But he's just 12 days old. My husband and I were SO happy to receive this as a gift. The couple who bought it said their son LOVED their mamaRoo. Sadly, our son just wasn't into it (we tried everything, because we really liked it and wanted it to work out). Turns out our little guy preferred a more traditional swing. This is a great product; I think it is just hit-or-miss depending on the preferences of your little one. **Edit from 4moms Customer Support: Hi Rachel, I'm bummed the mamaRoo wasn't a hit for your son - but I do totally agree with your assessment that no baby is the same. I'd encourage you to keep trying the mamaRoo - just as no baby is the same, they also will continue to change like crazy and what's not a hit today might be the best thing in the world tomorrow. Our daughter is 3 days old and a night owl... the only way we get her to sleep after she eats and is cleaned is to put her in the mamaroo -- she loves to take naps in the mamaroo -- we worked it out together her favorite setting is power level 2 / tree swing she just loves it -- she will sleep happy for 2.5/3 hours easy in the mamaroo. This might be the only thing next to the bugaboo that I would give 5 stars. How about a special edition - I own a marketing company -- where is the exclusive colors... I want a hot pink and black one -- white is kind of cool but we need special edition colors -- charge more and people will still pay. Again -- from dad's point of view and tired mom's predictive this is a MUST have.

It was so easy to put together. My daughter first time in it she fell a sleep. I just wish it had a remote control. Really loving it.

The MamaRoo (or, as we call it, our "Roo") is already a success as my 1 month old had a 2 hour nap in it this morning which gave me the chance to get in an additional 2 hours of shut-eye which was a win-win for everyone!! The only reason I gave the Roo 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the plush insert was sold with it instead of as a separate accessory - that's really great for little babies.

I used two other brands' swings for my two first babies and thought they were okay, but nothing sanity-saving (even though their marketing made it seem like they were the best thing since sliced bread.) While one of them in particular sounded like I'd be able to customize to fit my baby's mood, it wasn't until my friends (three!) told me that I HAD to get the MamaRoo that I realized what real options looked like. I love being able to choose from five motions that are nothing like what the other brands offer and that are perfect for soothing my third baby. I only wish the MamaRoo had been around for my first two. I'll be telling all my friends about this swing... and about the amazing customer service I received when ordering it and putting it together. Thanks for this terrific swing - we love it!
