I am picky about convertible car seats, looking for superior safety but also convenience. With my older daughter we went through two or three different convertible car seats before we found one I could love. These things are bulky so I wanted one light enough for me to move on my own, easy to clean, and easy to buckle kids in and out of. Now that my son is ready for a convertible car seat I was dreading shopping again. Luckily the Emblem checks all the boxes and then some. My favorite feature is that the cover is easy to remove and wash, you don't need to remove the harness to get it off or put it back on. We learned the hard way how important that is with baby #1! It is large but that's the norm for convertible seats and this one is not too heavy--I can pick it up and move it in and out of car when I need to. There are two other features that put this over the top for me--there is no need to rethread the straps to adjust the fit (thank goodness), and the buckle stands up on it's own to make it easier to find (it won't get stuck under the baby). The Britax Emblem 3 Stage Convertible Car Seat is a good mid-range car seat. It is relatively lightweight and comfortable for my son, while also providing us the peace of mind that comes with strapping him into a Britax car seat. It is missing a few convenience features of the more top-of-the-line Britax car seats, but all of the expected safety features are included. The car seat doesn't include the Click-Tight installation feature of higher-end Britax car seats, so it is missing that level of ease during installation. Regardless, it is a relatively simple process to install. The top sides of the car seat are flared out, which helps with air flow and temperature control for my son, who tends to sweat heavily in car seats that have sides that wrap closer to his torso. The actual seat, however, has close-fitting sides that provide a sense of security. He was actually able to ride in the car seat during the hottest part of summer without sweating! The padding in the seat is also very soft and he said he was comfortable riding in it. Another thing that pleased us about this seat is that it is narrow enough to fit 3 car seats across the second row of our SUV. This is a must for us! We put the Emblem behind the passenger seat of the car, with the baby's infant seat in the middle, and our 5-year-old's booster seat behind the driver's seat. It's a bit of a tight squeeze getting the infant seat into the base, but all three kids sit comfortably once everyone is in. We also like that this is a convertible car seat and that it can be used rear-facing and forward-facing, providing for many years of use. We are using it for our 4-year-old son right now and will be able to use it for our baby girl after our son transitions to a booster seat, even if she is still rear-facing. There are a few features that are less desirable. The headrest is difficult to adjust up and down. It's not a smooth movement like other Britax car seats and it is hard to figure out how to do without reading through the owner's manual. The headrest also seems kind of "rickety", like it isn't attached properly. The harness straps pull smoothly through the car seat upon tightening and loosening, but the release lever is again hard to figure out intuitively. The button is at the top of the compartment rather than the bottom and is hard to find at first. I would recommend this car seat if you want all of the safety features of a Britax model without wanting to pay for all of the convenience features of a more expensive car seat. I recieved the carseat to try as part of the Stellar Product testing panel; here are my thoughts: The seat looks plush and comfy, the instructions were pretty easy to follow and I love the latch anchors for installation. I really love being able to adjust the harness height without un-threading the straps (it does NOT adjust well if you have a child sitting in the seat though, so that's a bit inconvenient if you are trying to figure out which setting you need). My one gripe with the seat is that there are 3 recline positions, but no indicator to let you know what position the seat is in, so you basically have to click the seat back and forth until you get a feel for which position you have clicked to. Since the manual consistently mentions positions 1, 2, or 3, I really missed having a way to look at the seat and know how reclined it is. I do appreciate all the instruction and safety labels on the sides of the seat though, and being able to see the expiration date on the side instead of having to take the seat out and look under it. I currently have a small toddler, so am using the seat rear facing. I am glad it has so many options to grow with a child and think it is a nice, solid option for anyone looking for a convertible carseat.

I received the emblem britax carseat in return for my honest review from weespring and stellar reviews. That being said, I would have probably purchased it anyway after shopping and reading about the features that make it one of the safest choices available at this price point. Side impact protection and the ease of installation make it a great choice for a convertible. We start from newborn in a convertible to bypass the additional step and expense of buying another one in a year or so. My new baby is cozy and comfortable and safe in the seat and I'm not a nervous wreck about her when we go out.

My 18 month old daughter was starting to get too tall for her infant car seat and I was getting ready to switch her over to a convertible car seat. The Britax Emblem Convertible Car seat is wonderful. This car seat has so many wonderful safety features that makes this prefect for our family. I love that its all black making this a gender neutral car seat. I know that people like all the designs and patterns, but I'm a simple person who loves solid colors. One of the many feature that I love is how soft the fabric is and how much cushion it has to provide comfort to my daughter. An example of how cushioned the car seat would be that my daughter likes to bounce her head against the headrest, its firm but soft enough her for to play. I just like that she can entertain herself while I'm driving. I also love that its has the LATCH system for easy installation. That is something I look for now when I'm researching car seats, it's a must for us. It made installation a breeze. I also love that I can continue to use this car seat as my daughter grows. The 10 position harness is easy to adjust when she has her growth spurs. My favorite feature is that you can easily take off the cover to wash. I don't know about other kids, but my daughter is especially messy with her snacks and we often have to clean the cover. With the easy off, you don't even have to take the harness off to wash it. Havent had a chance to enjoy this convertible carseat for long but so far, really great!! The ease of installation was great with the latch/anchor system (my fav part) , kept thinking there was more to it but nope! Ive struggled with other car seats to release from the latches and it was a pain, with the push of a button, this one releases!!! Will be easy to switch between different cars. It's very heavy and feels extremely safe and I feel like my child is quite secure. Love love the 2 layers of side impact protection, something my older kids didnt have. She's currently in the rear facing mode but likely will be moving to forward facing shortly. I also noticed that my daughter didn't seem to sweat as much in this carseat compared to her infant one. I have the black color which looks nice against my grey interior. It has such a clean look that even my husband doesn't mind it in his truck. She doesnt have a ton of leg room in the rear facing mode but has enough for her. The harness seems very comfortable against my daughter's body and easy to adjust when needed. I love this car seat and so does my 3 year old. At first I thought that not having a cup holder would be a big issue, but honestly it has not been too bad. I wouldn't mind if one was added but we can live without it. I was given this Convertible Car Seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and it was perfect timing as we had just gotten a new car and my 7 month old seemed to be getting a bit big for his infant car seat so we were in the market for a convertible car seat. This one fits the bill perfectly! My first impression was great as the car seat looks sleek and stylish while also looking comfortable and safe. It has a plush infant positioning pillow for babies under 22 lbs (which we took out since ours is over that), and also has the head restraint head pad, which is like double protection. Other safety features I appreciate is the impact absorbing base (which I feel also provides a tighter fit/less slippery fit to the seat than my current brand of convertible seats), and the impact absorbing chest pads which is like a rubber backing for the chest straps, which I think will also help prevent the straps from twisting. Another feature I liked was it has little velcro pieces off to the side of the seat and on the bottom of the straps so you can stick the straps to the side instead of having to dig them out from behind your baby. The buckles were all easy to latch and unlatch too, and it was also a very easy installation process. Overall I feel this convertible car seat is comfortable, stylish, and safe and has some great features that are not on the current brand I use, and I will probably switch to this brand for future seats.

This car seat looks nice. I have tried multiple convertible car seats and this was the easiest to install. It felt secure and I loved the steel frame. The seat comfortably held by eleven month old son rear-facing. It was also easy to install forward-facing for my three year old daughter. It would be a good choice for someone who had to move the car seat to different cars. It has hook and loop fasteners to hold back the straps, but if you are using the infant insert that is required up to 22 pounds it covers them. I love that it has the quick position harness so I didn't have to re-thread the harness, but it was a little hard to adjust. My three year old was very comfortable in the car seat but was unhappy because it does not have a cup holder. Overall it is a very safe and easy to install car seat. The Emblem 3 Stage Convertible Car Seat is one of the best car seats we've tried (between three kids!) The look of the seat is very minimalist and sleek, it's thickly padded and the fabric is super soft. It fit nicely with two other car seats in a bench seat and was relatively easy to install (as far as car seats go). One of my favorite features was how easy it was to adjust the seat as baby moves from infant-toddler. As far as safety goes the 5 point-harness and steel frame are top notch-- I can tell they designed it with babies in mind when they added little features like shoulder and bum pads. I think my only qualms with this car seat is that there isn't a cup holder, which is necessary for older kids, the fabric (while super soft!) shows spots and stains really easily, and that the sides of the seat are almost too high to get baby in the seat smoothly. I received this Britax Car Seat as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel and was so excited to start using it. At first glance, it has a very solid and secure look to it. It looks like it has the security and safety of a race car seat, which is probably my favorite thing about the seat as a whole. One downside is the front buckle is not very flexible and can be a bit tough to work with. It would help if it had easier access to maneuver and adjustment as our kiddo grows. The straps/harness however, are very padded and sit well on the shoulders. They are much easier to move around to clip our son in. Installation was super easy, no complications since we used the car clips for the seats. If having to use the seatbelt installation, it appears that would be just as simple. I do wish there was a level feature to indicate if the seat is straight and in the correct position like our other convertible car seats. Overall we are very happy with this seat and feel our little dude is very safe and comfortable while riding in it.

Being the mother to 5 children I have tried my fair share of car seats. The main things I am looking for in a car seat are how safe they are, the comfort for my children, how easy they are to install and uninstall for switching vehicles, and if I will be able to use it for an extended period of time. The Emblem 3 stage convertible car seat easily meets all of these requirements and then some! This is a really great looking car seat, I received the black color and it looks very sleek and unobtrusive. It fits great in my car with all of my other car seats as it isn't overly wide like some I have tried so I can fit multiple seats in one row. This seat has an amazing longevity as it can be used from 5 pounds all the way up to 65 pounds and can be rear facing and forward facing so it grows right along with your child. The fabrics seem very durable and easy to clean and for up to 22 pounds it even includes a super cushy pillow for under baby that could be removed on it's own for a quick mess clean up! Another great thing about this car seat is the safety, it has a steel frame and shock absorbing base, it's incredibly easy to install with it's anchor system and can also be installed with the seat belt if your car isn't equipped with anchors. There are so many features that make me love this seat but one added feature that I sincerely appreciate is that the straps are able to Velcro to the side of the seat so they are out of the way while putting your child in. I have wished for something like this on a car seat for years and am so excited to see that it is finally an option! My favorite thing about this car seat is how easy it is to install. The manual makes it really clear how to install and the process was a breeze. We have been looking at the MANY convertible car seats available as it was time to switch our fourth baby from his infant seat. This Britax Emblem 3 stage convertible seat is beautiful, nice and heavy, and the safety features are amazing! The fabric on the car seat is very thick but soft, I haven't seen my toddler sweating in this seat at all in our southern hot summer. It has 3 different recline positions and according to my sons weight and being rear facing, we are fully reclined and I love it. He seems very comfortable, and it's easy to get him in and out of the seat. This seat can also accommodate an infant, and the pillow that comes with it for that newborn stage is so thick and firm it's really a great seat to start out in, I would really recommend this for any baby. It seems to fit all stages and weights quite comfortably. You can really feel the weight of this as it provides an extra layer of protection, but even at 5 months pregnant I was able to pick it up and install it so easily in a matter of minutes. The installation is a quick 2 latches and pull tight, that's it! It isn't bulky, it doesn't interfere with any other seats in our minivan. This is our third Britax seat and it stands up to their name of durability and safety features. One of my favorite Britax Emblem features is the harness. The harness has a little piece of velcro on each strap at the base and it adheres to the velcro piece on each side of the inner "butt" of the seat, so whenever you get your child out, the straps automatically stick out of the way for the next time you're ready to put them back in. That's so awesome because wrangling a wiggly toddler and moving harness straps out of the way is such a pain to me, it's definitely one of my favorite things! Britax is one of my favorite brands of car seats. I have 2 young boys, and my husband and I have separate cars with needs to have 2 car seats in each car. I say this to provide background that I've had my fair share of car seat installations. Not only have I installed the now 4 car seats, but I've had to uninstall & reinstall those car seats multiple times due to travel, car changes, adjusting rear facing to forward facing, etc. Britax's Emblem 3 Stage Convertible Car Seat was one of the easiest installations I've done thus far. I walked away feeling confident that the install is secure, tight and safe for my child. My 2 favorite features of this car seat, though, do not include the easy and secure installation. The top features that I encounter and am thankful for on a daily basis are 1) the easily adjustable harness and 2) the all black design. My first car seat had a rethread harness, and I will never go back. Once forward facing, you have to uninstall the seat in order to adjust the harness due to your child's growth. This is a major deterrent for parents doing the right thing for their kid's safety. THIS seat does NOT require rethreading & uninstall/install. Simply press the handle and raise the harness for your growing child or lower the harness for your younger child. This not only saves exhausted parents tons of times - I mean, these kids are always growing and who wants to spend their evening uninstalling & reinstalling a car seat - this feature is also safer for kids as it's so simple for parents to place the harness at the proper height as soon as an adjustment is needed. I'm also a fan of car seats that don't stand out with crazy patterns. I really appreciate the solid black material and enjoy how it blends in with my car's interior. Since this is a Britax, I know that if I ever put the safety features to the test, my kids are in safe and secure seats. This car seat is working really well for us. It is a high-quality car seat, for younger or older children, forward- or rear-facing. The seat arrives completely assembled so there is no assembly process. I was surprised to find that adjusting the straps to fit younger/smaller children, or an older/larger child, was (by far) the easiest I've seen. No more "re-wiring" the straps on the back of the seat! Instead, I simply pressed the red latch and handle together -- located at the top/inside of the seat -- and the whole inside-back of the seat slides up or down. As the seat back raises or lowers, the straps grow or tighten automatically. Let go of the latch, and the seat locks firmly into place. Really great and so easy. The carseat has the two buckles for rear-facing installation of the seat. There is a visual guide to verify the angle is appropriate for the age of our child. The two buckles have two pockets to lock into, for storage, so they aren't dangling in the gutter if you're bringing it into a taxi. There's an extra cushion that velcroes inside, at the bottom, like a tiny booster seat. I like how it removes easily when baby grows. For forward-facing, I just use the car's seatbelt, through the back of the seat, and it attaches in seconds. The fabric wipes off easily and it is super comfy for my daughter. Overall, it is really high quality. Our little one buckles in easily and a lot of times she just falls right to sleep, it's that comfortable for her. And that "safe" part is the real deal. The construction isn't just plastic with padding. There is a whole double-layer system of safety cushioning, so the entire seat is super safe, like a motorcycle helmet for the baby's whole body -- if motorcycle helmets had steel frames. With the carseat's frame, the whole thing is literally rock-solid. In short, this is super safe, easy to install and adjust, and our baby loves it. Britax Emblem is such a great car seat. I have 3 girls and the youngest is 9 months. We were looking for a new seat as she is getting too heavy to carry in an infant seat. Many of my friends have used Britax and love the brand. The Emblam is so easy to install with the Latch buckles and the fabric is so soft. Easy to wipe clean too! I totally feel safe with my precious baby in this seat. I'm also so happy that this will grow with her When she is old enough for forward facing and then on to a booster setting. There is not enough words to describe how impressed I am with this car seat! From the sleek look and how well it fits into my car without being overly bulky to all the nice plush padding, this car seat is everything!! I had the easiest time setting it up. There are a few ways to do so traditional lap belt or you can use the click lock buckles that connect to the metal in your car. I think my favorite feature of this is the ability to just simply click and pull up to adjust the harness straps as they grow bigger. I hated having to adjust them in other car seats by completely undoing the straps themselves and the Emblem 3 made it so much easier. This car seat all around is A 10 for me my baby hates car seats and cries every time and with this one because it's so plush and comfortable we've had no fussy baby during car rides. Safety is my top priority followed by comfort for my child and this car seat checks both boxes. I love the steel frame on this car seat. It's very well made and the fabric is comfortable and soft as well. I've tried it out with my baby, toddler, and pre-k child and love that I can use it for all stages. All three kids seemed to like it. I like the look of the car seat. There are additional chest straps for added safety in a front facing position which I love. I also appreciate how easy this car seat is to install. We sometimes need to move car seats to our other car or to caregiver's cars and this car seat is one of the easiest to install using the latch system. It's also quite easy to switch from rear facing to forward facing. Aside from the safety features, my other favorite feature is the size: big enough to feel secure but narrow enough to fit with two other car seats in the same row. There are also little Velcro spots that hold the seat belt open while putting the child in that makes it a breeze. The only complaints I have about this car seat are that there isn't a cup holder and that the recline indicator was difficult to figure out. It's there but it's just a line on the car seat and not labeled so we had to search the instruction manual to figure it out. Neither of these would be deal breakers though because the safety, comfort, and ease of installation make this a five star car seat.

I received this car seat for free as a member of the Stellar Parent Panel. I was honestly surprised at how nice this seat was when I arrived. The fabric is very smooth and padded nicely - especially the infant insert which is generously plush. I'm a big snob for car seat functionality so I immediately began to check for the features I love: one hand shoulder strap raising (check), click into place anchors (check), button release strap loosening (check) easy to unbuckle (check, check)... I was truly impressed! I excitedly installed the car seat and took it for its first ride! The installation is honestly my favorite part about this car seat. I don't know if this is standard with Britax but I LOVED that the anchors were independently belted and tightened. I'm used to seats where the anchors are connected by a belt that runs under the seat padding and there's one place to loosen/tighten and that can make you break a sweat when you have to go a few rounds getting it just right. With the Emblem you simply loosen each strap, click them into place, and tighten each one. I got it on the first go! I've never installed a convertible car seat so fast! If you're looking for a seat that has to switch cars a lot, you're going to love this feature. I only have two complains. The button to release the tension in the straps when getting my daughter out of the car is awkwardly situated, so I had to search for it each time. The major complaint (and why I knocked off a star) is about the gray chest pad the surrounds the clip. It seems like an additional safety feature (which it technically is since it hinders kiddos from moving their chest clip) but it was anti-function and even a bit anti-safety to me in the use of the seat. I'm used to generously loosening the straps on my kids when I get them out and that means the chest clip gets jostled. When this happens getting out of the car isn't too big of a deal but getting back in is frustrating. For as once-and-done as anchor installation tightening the was, I found I had to tighten/adjust/check again and again every time I was strapping my babe in. This is more time consuming than I like and not a friendly feature to a mom of 4 like me; I need to be able to buck and jet! There was even two instances where we buckled her in and checked the tension feeling confident it was adequate only to arrive at our destination to find more slack than we left with. I do NOT believe this is an issue with the seat itself slipping on the straps but I believe it's because the chest pad can disguise a bunched up strap. It's sticky on the strap so if you have a little bit pinched in there it'll hold on for the few seconds it takes to check that your little one is tight, and then it loosens up with time and the rhythm of the ride. If you only have one baby or a lot of time or great weather you don't mind standing in to get that you get that solid minute of time to make SURE your little is buckled right and tight then you'll be fine, but I need something with less fuss.

I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel for free. I love the sleek all black design and how modern it looks. The seat is soft and comfortable for my 9 month old. It was easy to install the clips into my SUV but I found that it was difficult to vehicle's lap belt through the bottom of the car seat (rear-facing) because the opening wasn't big enough to push it through with my hand. It is a little large but sturdy. I wouldn't recommend for smaller vehicles, as it fits large in my SUV- I had to move the passenger seat up. There are rubber impact chest pads on the harness that are wide and a little difficult to adjust but baby didn't seem to mind them too much. Overall, very sturdy car seat that is nice to look at and I feel that she is safe. Also, my baby hasn't objected to any rides in it either so that is a plus!

To start off I did receive this free as a product tester for Stellar Panel. And it's Big! Like the cushion and and harness and bulk of it is NICE. Like you can see and tell it grows with your child, and honestly I feel like my child is very safe in this car seat compare to others I have used. Only negatives (which are just two) there is no cup holders. Now I felt like that would of been such a huge plus! And then the greatest thing about it is also the smallest problem with it, I can't see out my back window (the side my child is on Obviously) the car seat is pretty big. And maybe because I drive a small car which also doesn't help the Situation. But either then that I loved the product. Would definitely buy and recommend to my family and closest friends.

We received this carseat are part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and couldn't have been more excited. This seat was nicer than we could have hoped for. The seat looks big and bulky but fit great in both our smaller Acura TLX and larger Nissan Rouge. (And honestly I like the look). It also fits no problem next to our oldest daughters convertible car seat which is a big plus. Installation is quick and secure which is the biggest plus of all. So easy to click in and no issues leveling it. The cushions are so soft and our 10 month daughter and she looks so comfortable in the seat. We were worried that the black fabric would be too warm on those 100 degree California summer days, but after our car sat in the sun for 4 hours it was totally fine. Our daughter fit perfect and will grow easily into it as well (another HUGE plus that this will be our last car seat we ever need). Easy to clip her in and out and she clearly was comfortable as she easily fell asleep in it (even more stars for that)! We are buying a second one to have one in each car. I highly recommend.

The Velcro to hold the straps out of the way scratches my son. The handle to adjust the straps is difficult to pull. My son has less room in this seat than others as well.

I got this carseat a few weeks ago when I attended Mommycon and have to say I love it. When I got this seat I had to install it in my husband's small dodge dart. I have installed several other carseats in his car before.I always have to let the passenger seat all the way up just to get the seat in.It's not fun nor safe to have your knees in the dash board.I installed my Britax Emblem with ease.I was able to let the passenger seat back with plenty of leg room. I have installed this seat in my van and in laws vehicles with ease also.It's a pretty compact seat. When I first picked the seat up I thought it was going to be heavy like other Britax seats.It's actually pretty light but you can see it still has all of Britax's safety standards in it.It has nice fabric and my daughter seems really comfortable in it.I have own several different carseats and some my children just weren't comfortable in.My daughter really likes her Britax Emblem and has plenty of room to grow. I have told several of my friends about this seat for their little ones.It's at a great price point and you know Britax puts their love into every seat they make.

i love this seat! I got the seat at a Britax event in Charlotte and it's such a great seat, i opted to buy another one. so now my 2 year old and 1 year old sit in these seats.

I was so excited when I found out I will have the opportunity to review Britax Emblem Convertible car seat provided through weeSpring Parent Panel . Choosing an appropriate car seat is a huge decision. Not only you have to worry about the safety features , but also find the best fit for your family and your lifestyle. Britax has been with our family since the birth of our son, who is now almost 2.5 years old. We have decided to use this company for infant car seat and a stroller travel system, so we are well familiar with the high quality of their items. Safety features in this convertible car seat are amazing. Very reassuring to know that you child is super safe with the extra layer of side impact protection (which also can be used as a side pillow for these car cat naps). The design is classy, not to busy pattern and great material to easily clean those juice spills !Most of the cushions can be removed for more deep cleaning. What I did think it's missing in this car seat is a bottle holder . It would be nice to have that part of the car seat. Installation was super easy. The car seat is also not too heavy, which is nice, if you have to switch it from car to car. Headrest can be adjusted to fit the height of you child. Overall I really like this car seat!

We were lucky enough to receive the Britax Emblem Convertible Carseat from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I could not have been more thrilled, as we had a Britax infant carseat for our little one and were happy to stay with a brand we trusted. Safety is our number one priority, and Britax has thought of everything with the side impact protection. My one comment is on the sheer size and weight of the carseat, which made it a little difficult/cumbersome to install. We also notice that our little one sweats a lot, so I'm not sure if it has to do with the material or if our LO just runs hot (we had the same thing with her infant carseat). However, I have no problem trading some sweat for peace of mind. Britax really seems to be leading the pack when it comes to safety and affordability, which is something all parents can appreciate.

Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat! My husband and I absolutely loved it! Super easy to install and move from one car to the next! My daughter is growing like a bean stalk and love being able to easily adjust the seat to fit her! Love the padding, very comfortable and fits in the right places! Wish it had a cup holder attachment for older kiddos. Very cute design and can work for both genders! Super easy to clean!

In my opinion Britax makes a darn good seat, so I was super excited to try out the Emblem thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel. It's really great that Britax has introduced the "Essentials" line to compete with lower-priced competitors. I was happy to see so many of the same features in the seat as in my other Britax convertible seat. There is an easily adjustable non-rethread harness, so you can adjust the height to different positions without having to take the seat out of the car to re-thread the harness straps. The only things this seat doesn't have compared to non-Essentials Britax seat is the EZ Buckle and the ClickTight feature, but totally not a deal breaker to be able to get a Britax seat. I love that this also has the SafeCell Technology and steel bars - this adds an extra layer of safety in my thinking. There is also really good side-impact protection with the deep side walls. Since this seat will work for up to 49 inches tall, I'm happy to say we'll be able to get a lot of use out of it. My daughter was happy as a clam in her seat. It was easy getting her in and out of it and it was easy to install in the car as well. The LATCH makes it simple in my mid-size SUV. There was still a decent amount of passenger leg room with the car seat behind it rear-facing.

I received this car seat from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I'm happy to say that the Britax Emblem Convertible Car Seat exceeded my expectations. I wondered how this seat would measure up to my Frontier and Roundabout seats. The Emblem is a great seat. It has all of the safety features you expect from Britax. It has a steel frame - making it sturdy and safe. It has the same side impact safety as other more expensive Britax seats. The seat is comfortable so my toddler doesn't mind sitting in it for long periods of time. I easily installed this seat with the lower anchors in the forward-facing position for my 4 year old on the second row of my 2016 Honda Pilot Touring (8 seater - no 2nd row captain seats). We currently have another convertible car seat and an infant seat on the same row. The seat fit perfectly and was not too big. My favorite feature, next to it being safe and sturdy, is the comfortable foam shell.

For all 3 of my children, I was an avid user of the Britax Boulevard and most recently the Britax Boulevard Clicktight version. I have always felt that my children were very safe in their Britax seats. This Britax Emblem was that it was a part of a new Essentials by Britax line. It is a new affordable line that was just introduced this year. I was intrigued and ready to try this seat out! It came packaged similar to the other Britax Convertible seats and looking at the seat, you could not tell that it was from a different line of products. Taking it out of the box, I immediately noticed the considerable difference in weight from my very heavy Boulevard Clicktight. The lighter weight made the Britax Emblem a breeze to get into the car and situated how I wanted it in the seat. The Emblem comes with the Latch system or ability to run a seat belt through a belt path. I chose the Latch. The Latch was easy to get locked in on the seat of my vehicle, but the straps were incredibly hard to tighten. The latch straps seemed lightweight and hard to grip. It took a lot of work and I was really frustrated by the time I finished. I may be too spoiled by my Boulevard Clicktight which was the easiest car seat installation I've ever come across. Once installed, it was time to get my little one in and try it out. The design of the seat makes it easy for me to get my child in and out. She seemed as happy as could be and really enjoyed that this car seat sat her up a little higher in the car! The 5 point harness seemed just as secure and comfortable as I would expect from a Britax. In fact, I find the harness straps much easier to tighten on her once she's in the seat than previous seats. The height adjustments and bottom buckle adjustment are easily done even while the child is in the seat. Overall, I was really happy that Britax decided to offer their car seat expertise in a more affordable range.
