Great except for the toy dangler

This is a great item and went together easily. At this writing, we've not yet had the baby in it. (We are the grandparents.) However, the half-circle piece to which the cloth stars are attached for baby to play with, is a problem. For one thing, it does not really attach securely to the rest of the unit. It has a plastic half-tube at each end that snaps over the upper side of the Pack 'n' Play. After the whole thing was put together, and this part had been "attached," I tugged on one of the stars a little, and the thing seemed to break, inside the cloth sleeve. Well, it didn't break. The half-circle is made up of three flat-but-bendable plastic pieces that snap together. My tug unsnapped two of the pieces, and the thing detached on one end. This part of the Pack 'n' Play just seems poorly made and thus slightly unsafe. There's a certain amount of tension at play when the three flat snapped-together pieces are forced to form that half-circle bow, and that tension could cause it to fly off and hit something, under certain circumstances. So, we just detached it. Seems unstable and therefore unsafe.
Pros
- Looks good, neutral colors (so can use for babies of different sexes; and can match many decors), folds up easily, versatile.
Best Uses
- Can be used as a playpen, a place to change baby's diaper and/or clothing, and a place for baby to nap.
Cons
- Half-circle bow that holds the dangle-down stars does not attach securely and seems unstable and possibly problematic.
