While our little one isn't quite here yet, we built the soother and tried it out with our infant niece. She was amused by the mobile and mirror above, and she was calmed down when we turned the combination movements on. Building was easy! Only 8 screws and the directions were simple to follow. It took my husband less than 20 minutes to build. I love the different speeds on the motions, and especially look forward to using the combination of swaying and bouncing at the same time (something I did often to soothe my oldest daughter). The motor was a little noisy, but when the music is turned on, it is muted some. This is a great item that I see myself using a lot when my little one arrives! We also love that this has an A/C adapter! In the past, we constantly replaced batteries in our traditional swing and bouncy seats.

I was also please that the volume and be controlled by the parent. The is a splendid produce to aid in soothing a little one.

This is one of the best baby products I've seen im totally happy with it. I would recommend it to just about anyone who is expecting or has a baby it's does miracles baby seems to really enjoy the soothing motion seat very nice soothing music for your little one baby seems to like the vibration the bouncing sway and side to side..Also the colorful little mirror above baby will enjoy looking at herself..this is totally a good buy

The Soothing Motions Seat was very easy to put together. The hardest part was finding a screwdriver. Great space saver! My baby loves the bounce motion with vibration but not the side to side motion. I wish it was more of a swing motion. My baby also loves the mirror in the toy mobile. The toys don't really hold his attention. I wish they were brighter or had lights. The seat is very soft and stable. My baby enjoys the comfort. My baby is on the bigger side (16 pounds at 4 months) so I wish The Soothing Motions Seat was a little bit bigger. Maybe in a month or 2 he will outgo the seat. Overall I would recommend this to a friend.

Overall this is one of the better swings I have used. The directions and ease of assembly was one of the best. The multiple options for Music and speeds are awesome. I like that the swing goes in two directions. Compared to other Swings this one is more compact, which is a plus. The music plays for 45 minutes!! Most other baby toys will only play for 20 minutes. I would recommend having the top piece that has the toys and mirror on it rotate. I would like to see the seat turn 90 degrees. The other Swing I have used has this feature and my Daughter seems to enjoy it. Overall I would be very satisfied with purchasing this unit. Compared to other products this one would be worth the money. I would recommend!!

The seat was fairly easy for my hubby to put together. We loved the gender neutral design. It is a nice product for new moms. We loved that it had the plug in power. The mobile is also a nice touch!

Overall, I love this seat! There really is nothing major that I dislike, but my "pros" and "cons" are below: Pros: - AC adaptor (of course). This is an obvious life saver! - vibration and music options. These instantly soothe my little one. - small footprint. This is a lot smaller and easier to move than most of the swings and gliders out there. - mild and neutral colors. It doesn't look like my living room is a daycare. - the swaying option is amazing. Instant calming for my little one! Cons: - motor is a tad on the loud side; but, this seems to only bother me and not my little one. - some screws didn't seem to fit quite right during assembly. The structure seems sound, but some were hard to tighten. Really, a great find!!

I have to say, I have a pretty active 7 month old, and our other swing as wonderful as it is, after 3 months didn't hold her attention anymore. That being said, I wish I could truly describe her face, when I changed up the motions and mixed side to side with up and down and watched as she stopped trying to get out and started to enjoy the motions. I have waited to write my review to make sure I had a few uses with her. I have to say, each and every time not only does she enjoy it, but she has actually fallen asleep!!! and stayed asleep! I would recommend this product to anyone!!! The volume is not too much, the lights make it very easy to find the buttons you need, speed change allows for variety, she even engaged with the mobile, more to pull on them and touch than to just look, but still she enjoys them. The size is another wonderful thing. Unlike most swings it does not take up that much space, which was really helpful considering we have a small area.

When I received this seat I was excited to try another product for my son. We previously had a bouncy seat that he never really took to, as well as a regular swing which he would fall asleep in about half of the time. It was pretty easy to assemble, no complaints there! What I love MOST about the seat is that it doesn't take up a ton of space in the living room like the average swing does. It doesn't have the giant legs to trip on, doesn't need a ton of clearance on either side, and is just easier to fit in the room! The motion is also great- I have used an exercise ball in the past to sit on and bounce him to calm him down and this worked just the same, and I didn't have to get a sore back! The music was really nice too, very soothing, to me as well. I would recommend this to any new mom to try, especially if they are low on space!

This soothing motions swing definitely does it job at putting a fussy, sleep fighting, baby to sleep. The best part of this product is that it is a space saver!!! We had a different swing, different brand, before this one, and it took up way to much space in our tiny apartment. I love that this one takes it place, and is effective at putting baby to sleep while fitting comfortably in the corner of the room. Other than the space, I feel that this swing is poorly put together. The mobile at the top does not rotate. Since it does not rotate, the product does not keep the baby's interest as she falls asleep. Instead shes looking around the room at us, the Television or whatever catches her attention. In addition to the mobile, it is cheaply snapped on. I feel like the baby can snap it out of place while yanking on the dangling toys. I feel that it should have an extra snap or something to keep it securely in place. If she was smaller, (right now shes 13lbs, 6 months) this would be a great product. I would no recommend it if you are looking for a long lasting product. baby will outgrow it by the time they are 6-8 months old... I would recommend this product if you are looking for a perfect way to sooth a newborn - 5 month old baby. Especially at that young age, the baby cannot reach the mobile to tug on, therefore it is safe. also the seat the baby lays in is super soft, and comfy! This is especially needed if you have a sleep-fighting young baby!!

This swing is just what I was looking for after being disappointed by a higher priced brand. The independently customizable sway and bounce are perfect for adjusting to baby's needs in the moment. The seat is higher than any swing I've seen which makes getting baby in and out easier; it is also the perfect softness and shape to make the baby feel like they are being held. This is the best baby gear we have!

Overall a solid seat, but not perfect. Likes: The height of the seat is very nice since it's easier to keep an eye. The compact footprint makes it easy to find a home for this seat or move it around compared to larger swings. The mobile can swing out of the way, either for removing/placing the child in the seat or if it's just not capturing their attention. The music plays for 45 minutes!! Most other baby toys will only play for 20 minutes, but our son will wake up when it stops. Ease of putting it together, thanks to parts that fit only one way! The variety of functions and features. Dislikes: It isn't as sturdy as some other swings/rockers, and it gets shaking quite a bit when our 15lb son starts wiggling around. The side to side motion is pretty limited and their isn't much difference in the speed. There isn't much difference in the two seat positions. It's not my son's favorite motions, so it doesn't get as much use as our other swing; but I won't rate the swing on my son's preferences. It's a perfectly good seat with some nice touches.

The seat is great. We put it together in less than 20 minutes, however we did have some issues with the screws not holding as tight as possible, they kept turning. The plus is that it comes with a powe Cord, no need to buy batteries. My son loved it however this is for a child no older than 4 months as its a little small for someone older. My son is very active and kicks a lot which would move the seat a little too much for my liking. Overall great product, catches any babies attention, makes them feel like they are on your arms.

Love this swing. It is nicer than the older style snuggle one we have. It worked great to calm my daughter down. It was a little difficult to put together, but once it was together it was a life saver!

This seat is totally different from the bouncers & swings that I'm used to, I thought that I would be disappointed that it didn't swing back & forth but what did I know?! The sway is perfect, my niece loved it! She was content while I did household chores, I played the nature sounds and she was fast asleep. I like that it's safe, secure & high off of the floor, she usually only falls asleep while rocking in someone's arm's or being pat on the back so this seat must be soothing after all. The design & colors looks nice & blends well without making the room look like a cheesy daycare. I'm glad that I don't have to depend on batteries, this is the first baby seat that I've ever seen that plugs up. The mobile is nice, though she wasn't awake long enough to enjoy it, I'm sure my son will love it once he's born, my niece can keep it warm until he arrives.

My family absolutely loves the Soothing Motions Seat! We have several other bouncy seat and swing type things and this one is by far our favorite for the following reasons: 1) It is very sturdy and I have no worries about putting my daughter in it. 2) It plugs up to the wall and doesn't use batteries. So, there is no wasting money on tons of batteries or having to run to the store to get more batteries at inconvenient times. 3) It sits up higher than other bouncy seats and swings. Most of the other ones we have tried and looked at sit much closer to the floor and our daughter loves sitting up higher. 4) The bouncing and swaying motions are AMAZING! They really are much more similar to a "mom's motion" than the other products we have tried. Also, it is so nice to be able to pick either bounce, sway, and vibrate together or each separately. The nature sounds and music are also nice. 5) It was easy to put together and very easy to use. 6) It is nice how the mobile moves to either side to put baby in and take them out, or just to get it out of the way when the baby is not interested at that moment. In conclusion, we love the Soothing Motions Seat and will be recommending it to everyone we know!

I grew to really like this swing! The "soothing" part couldn't be more true!! My baby easily calms down in this swing when nothing else seems to work. The first time I put her in there, I almost fell asleep to the soothing music. I like to set vibration, up and down, and sway at the same time. When she is awake in the swing, she enjoys looking in the mirror above. I do wish the swing was a little deeper because my baby is 5 months now and when she throws a fit, I worry that she will fall out though she is fastened in! Of course I know she will be too big for the swing within a couple months or so :( Also, the motor is a little loud but not overbearing.

Being a mother of twins, I have the luxury of having 2 different personalities to entertain. My sweet baby girl thoroughly enjoys this seat!! She loves that it sways and bounces. Not quite mimicking the motion of a parent, but still a relaxing motion. My sweet little boy prefers the vibrate feature. The mirror above their heads is a big hit- falls asleep staring at themselves. I love that the nature sounds are very relaxing to listen to, and that the seat sits taller than most so I dont have to hunch over like I do with other seats. Between both twins, this is definitely well used in my home.

This soothing seat was easy to put together. Instructions were easy to follow. The seat itself felt safe and secure and the cloth and padding were soft and comfortable for my little one. At the time I received the seat, my daughter was 4 months old so she was on the later part of the age bracket for this particular product although it served it's purpose. I believe this product is perfect for newborns and babies that cannot roll, sit up on their own just for safety reasons. The seat has a two point harness that buckles at waist. The mobile that comes with it looks simple, yet it kept my daughter engaged since there is a mirror they can see themselves in. My daughter is able to grab and reach them already so I believe this product cannot be used once they can reach for the mobile for safety. The seat can be positioned in 2 different settings which are to lay flat or slightly upright. It would be nice if there were more seat positions available. The movements (sway and bounce) were great because it really does mimic the movements of a mommy or daddy. The music (soft lullabies and nature sounds) sounded clear(not muffled) were relaxing and the buttons and face of the controls is very appealing to the eye. This seat is very modern and sleek and will not be an eye sore when it sits in your living room. It's nice to place your baby in the seat knowing they are comfy and you can get some stuff done( I was able to cook a meal and have her sit quietly and Comfy in the seat). I would definitely recommend this seat to those who are expecting or have a baby 3 months or younger. Although you can only really use this for those first few months, it is worth it to get to have some hands free time to do some stuff around the house.

I really like it. Easy to put together, infant insert is included and plugs in. I love that it vibrates, goes up and down and has a mirror on the mobile. The mirror helps hold her attention, and if the baby prefers up and down or side to side, you can easily adjust.

I was so excited when we received the soothing motions seat. I immediately put it together, which took less than 15 minutes and just a screw driver. The pieces are only able to be put together one way, which makes things easy with "mommy brain". This seat was a great replacement for an automatic bouncer, that never seemed to actually bounce or vibrate and required us to replace batteries frequently, and a swing. The swing that we had, has a large base and a wide swing range which made it more difficult to carry and took up a lot of room. We've moved this seat from room to room with ease. The rubber stoppers on the bottom really helps with non carpeted areas and the seat sits up higher so we can pick up our son easier. The removable mobile with a mirror is a great touch but I wish it was automatic with lights. It's a plus that this seat does not require batteries and the controls light up. It would be great in the NICU since its so compact! Overall great product that we've already recommend to friends!

This soothe motions seat is a life saver it only took 15 minutes to put together and the instructions where very easy to follow. The timing was perfect when I received the soothe motions seat my son was sick and only sleeping if I held him so as soon as I assembled the soothe motions seat I put him in it and he loved it because of the different movements made him feel like he was in my arms the soothe motions seat saved me from sleepless nights i also love the seat can recline or stay upright the mobile is colorful and the mirror is a great feature for baby. It's great that battery's are not needed and you use an adapter which gives my son endless uses. The music is great and very calming for my son. I am very happy with the soothe motions seat and it's my life savor I recommend it to every mom out there

We received our soothing motions seat before our baby arrived but we immediately put it together! It took us less than 20 minutes to put together and it was so simple and user friendly! I love the music that is played on it and love the mobile. My friends 3 month old baby tried out the seat while in our home and the baby was so relaxed in it and he is not the one to stay still! He loves to be held and this seat was so soothing to him. I believe my baby will love this product! I love the fact that I don't have to worry about batteries! The plug-in is so convenient! I cannot wait for my baby girl to try her seat!

Our 3 month grand daughter enjoyed the swaying movement, the bounce up and down took a lil longer to get used to, but the combination of the two seemed to please her also! She liked the deep reclining seat and seemed to feel secure in it. Our 6 month granddaughter was excited over the mobile but wanted to sit up more. She liked the bounce movement and would relax for it more than the swaying. Both girls enjoyed the songs and sounds! Overall this product seemed to please both girls which was an excellent investment for our family. Thank you Fisher-Price for another great child product and value!

My little boy LOVES this seat! Mommy loves it too, as he sleeps and rests so well in it! The seat was easy to put together too, it only took me about 15-20 minutes. Some of my favorite features are the bounce, sway or bounce & sway motions - depending on his mood, we set it accordingly; I also love the music and movable mobile. I love being able to plug it in, however having it run on batteries also would be nice, as sometimes we want to move it but can't because we do not have a plug close by. Having both options would be ideal instead of an either-or. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 'Overall rating' and not a 5. We all love this seat otherwise!! I would highly recommend this to any new mom, grandma, or daycare provider out there!

When I received this product our newest grandson was hospitalized with RSV, a respitory virus common this time of year but very serious. Our baby just made it home two nights ago, we had put this smoothing machine together and it was waiting for him. This baby is 3 months old and weighs 15 lbs.. I noticed the box said max. weight limit of 20 lbs., however, I also noticed it said "Use this product until baby can sit up independently." I'm a little concerned that he may not be able to get a lot of use out of it as he is 3 months and 15 lbs. but we'll see. This is day two for using the swaying motion on the unit - he loves it, he appears to fit nicely in it and the seat is well padded and swaddles him nicely. He appears to like swaying motion more than the bouncing or the bouncing and swaying. The AC is a great benefit and would be a factor if I was purchasing a product like this! This unit is well constructed, I like the space saving design. He is well entertained by the mobile. Overall very nice unit.

The Soothing Motions Seat is amazing! My son loves to be held and rocked which gets hard on me. This seat has allowed me to set him down and take care of other things. There are so many wonderful features to this seat! The bouncing and swaying feature mimics the movements of mine and keeps my son happy and sleeping while in the seat. My daughter loves the Soothing Motions Seat!! Unlike other swings, she is a little bit higher off the ground, so she is able to see the world around her more, which helps to keep her entertained. The soothing motion of the side to side and up and down mimics how I carry her, which she really enjoys! It plays soothing music, and has a mirror that she loves above her! If you are looking for something to calm a colicky baby, this is it. Our daughter was not a fan of the normal swinging device that our son loved. The only motion that she felt at ease with was our arms. The Soothing Motions glider is pretty much the same thing! Not only does it have a natural bounce feature, but you can also use the swaying motion at the same time. There is also a mirror above head that kept my daughters interest for some time. The only downside was the on/off button. Several times I tried to turn it off and it keep going. Overall, great product and would highly recommend to any parent that wants a new soothing technique other than rocking them in their arms!

The product was very simple to assemble and quick. I love the plug in saves on running out to get batteries. She love the motions and vibration of the seat and listened intently to the music. Since she is 6 months old I only put her in there when she is sleepy. She loved it fell right to sleep. swaying motion was the best. Just found out have another grand child on the way and I will definatly be using this!!!! Perfect for us grandparents who cannot hold the infant for long extended periods due to back or muscle pain. As soon as this came in the mail, I opened it and put it together. It was amazingly easy to put together and from start to finish was about 15 minutes. The design is cute and great for girl or boy. It is not bulky as most swings are and best yet, it runs off of an adapter, so no more batteries. I love the different variations of movement, so does my son. This is the only swing (and we have tried a lot) that seems to keep him calm. I love that the display buttons light up and show you the speeds and volume. The fact that the mobile moves out of the way is a plus for me. The motor isn't noisy, which is an advantage. Overall, this swing is great for us and so far, I haven't found anything we didn't like!

When I started my registry I was looking at soothing seats but they were all so expensive. This one is reasonably priced which caught my eye and I like the neutral colors for boys and girls. I like that it goes up to twenty pounds so it can be used for at least six months. The fact that it can bounce and glide and swing is awesome . No need to buy multiple chairs and seats for the baby this meets all the needs in one seat. I would defiantly recommend this to any parent looking for a seat to sooth baby.

This was amazing when I had to set my son down. I had to hold, bounce & rock my baby to keep him asleep so when he stayed asleep in this motion seat I was elated! The music is soothing & gentle enough to keep your baby calm! Thank you!!

I received my soothing motions seat in the mail and I put it together right away it barely made it into my doorway. My son liked his swing from another manufacturer that we received as a gift however the only thing it did was swing and the batteries died so often. This soothing seat gets plugged in which is AMAZING because i don't have to limit his time inside. It also bounces and sways so I have options and he loves the mobile at the top. This is my favorite baby related item we have in the house for him. I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone. Amazing purchase!!!
