Absolutely perfect

I really wish I would have found this stroller sooner... my daughter is already 4 but I needed a good sturdy stroller for our Disney trip ... and this one is absolutely perfect...

Frustrated with this stroller
February 11, 2017
We bought this stroller a little over a year ago before our son was born. We purchased it for its lighter weight, ease of use, and easy folding. When our son was ~8 months old, the stroller stopped folding up. It got stuck everytime we folded it. We live in a city and don't initially didn't even fold the stroller that often (it just stayed open in our apartment) so this was not an overuse issue at all. We contacted baby jogger and obtained a new stroller frame. the stroller folded well again for a short time. we have had the new frame for less than 2 months and it again does not fold smoothly. if it does fold, it has to be forced, but most of the time, it won't even fold. we are very unhappy with this as we now live in a place that requires that we fold the stroller often for storage and to place in the car. One of the main marketing features of this stroller is the one handed fold and it has failed on us numerous times. I am not sure what can be done but I hope that baby jogger can do something to help us out given that we have had this stroller for just barely over a year and only been using it for 10 months as we purchased it 2 months before my son was born.

Great Stroller, poor handle
January 5, 2017
My wife bought this stroller and once we started using it, fell in love with it and all the features. The only complaint I have is that the rubber cover on the handlebar cracked and has broken apart in multiple places, with it barely hanging on to the metal. It looks very sloppy, so we are very apprehensive to use it in public due to this draping rubber grip. IF the handlebar did not have an issue, I would rate this 5-stars anytime!

Superior Quality
December 24, 2016
This has been my dream stroller for some time and I finally gave in about a month ago. My son is 3 years old now and this was purchased as an upgrade to his UPPABaby G-Luxe, which we got FULL use out of (cheaply made). We live in NYC where we get a taste of every kind of weather and so, the GT seemed perfect. My son is about 4ft tall and 30lbs. Getting him in and out is a bit troublesome, I wish we'd purchased on sight when he was just a year, we didn't want to make a haste decision, but it backfired cause newborn - 3 is probably the ideal ages you'd want this stroller. As far as features are concerned, (PROs) the brake application is great, and very dependable. The stroller is VERY sturdy and maneuvers easily and smoothly over uneven terrain. The "1, 2, 3" fold up is great, especially for public transportation, having to condense for elevator/escalator boarding, etc. It lays completely flat. Awesome details regarding the babys exposure to wind, sun, etc. I love the netting for breathability and it's cover, if unnecessary. I also love the extended canopy. I love that it's completely washable. (CONs) Once folded, the stroller becomes hard to carry. The weight is too concentrated for extended carrying. A shoulder strap across the width of the stroller, in addition to the current carry handle, would be awesome! The basket, isn't as accessible as I'd like, kind of don't put anything down there that I may need within a few minutes, to simply avoid the handling of the seat/squatting so low (it is accessible from the sides of the stroller though, it has an elastic band which helps to some extent). As I mentioned earlier, despite my son being on the taller side, the extended canopy, when folded, takes a good inch or two away from the head area on the seated part of the stroller, (easier to understand when looking at the stroller). I have to partially extend tbe canopy and order to comfortably seat him, and then fold it back up. It is also a bit narrow when he's bundled up. The front wheel RARELY, but sometimes swivels up when there are cracks in the ground, but it's understandable. The rain cover is amazing cahse everything is sealed, however, there isn't enough room for my sons feet. It is made for infants who don't occupy the foot area. Overall, I DO recommend the stroller, it's a great first stroller to have. However, you won't get the full satisfaction from it if your kid is older than two. For that, I'd probably recommend a premium umbrella stroller. The basket

Perfect for the adventurous city dweller!
December 12, 2016
Love love love this stroller! It is folds up so small, making it easy to hang on the wall in our small suite and to easily pack in the trunk, and to take traveling. It is also narrow enough to make it through little boutique stores and has a reasonable sized basket to make it great for shopping. I love that the wheels are made of foam, they provide an amazingly smooth ride without you ever having to worry about them going flat. The wheels are smaller which makes it more compact but they still give the ride and feel of a jogging stroller with much larger wheels. The stroller easily handles off-roading on grass, gravel, and sand. We live in the city and it's great on the sidewalks (especially being narrower) but we are also close to the beach and some trails and this stroller goes anywhere! Friends who have driven it when visiting are always impressed and say they wish they had bought it over their usually more expensive but less functional strollers. We had our daughter in the stroller from birth sometimes with the car seat and other times just with the seat laid flat. With the two viewing windows in the sun shade it was easy to peak in on her and it is such a smooth ride that we didn't need to worry about her bouncing around. The one thing we are starting to notice is that our daughter is tall and the sun shade, when pushed back, is starting to brush the top of her head and she is only 18 months old. This doesn't seem to bother her and she tends to prefer walking now anyway, but is something to consider. It seems to be the one draw back for having such a great/large sunshade which we have loved in the summer.

BRAKES DONT WORK
December 11, 2016
We wanted to loves this stroller with all of our heart we really did. We loved all the features minus the clip pull recline and the lack of storage underneath and that when you fold it it dosent sit up on its own . It truly is easy to steer and my daughter , 8 months old, sleeps well in it and is happy in it. But unfortunately we are on our second stroller and it is having the same issue as the first where when you put the breaks on it clicks in the one wheel and it still continues to roll and it clicks. we try and find ways to tighten the brakes but everything we do dosent work. we returned the first one after using it 2 times and now we only used this stroller 3 times and it was just casual strolling . Not sure what to do here I really loved it but we need the brakes to work especially at such a price.

better for toddlers than infants
December 6, 2016
My baby is 6 months and she has out grown the pram attachment and getting to big for the carseat attachment and not ready for forward facing stroller yet. So I'm not sure what I'lll do for the next few months until she's ready to face forward. The pram attachment made it feel like I was driving an SUV. Also would be really convenient for subway travel with a toddler but since you need the carseat or pram attachment for small babies its not very conducive to subway travel so I never leave the neighborhood with it. Any time I have to go some distance I end up taking the baby in the carrier even though the stroller would be easier and more convenient. I wish I had gone with a more versatile stroller with adjustable seat positions that even comes with a car seat, which initially seems much more expensive but after you've bought all the infant attachments for the citi mini it works out being about the same amount of money.

Great Stroller for One Child
November 25, 2016
Bought this stroller for my 2nd son and daughter in law for their first baby. Love the handle, how it can adjust not just lower but towards the user. Love the ease of how it folds and it is easy to put in and out of a vehicle for transportation. You can add the glider board for an older child, but be aware this is a single stroller (you can't add a second seat). The only this missing is the chest clip on the five point harness.

We have the 2008 model, which we bought with our first baby, and we're now using it with our third. We've never had a problem with it. We recently updated the seat, canopy and wheels to give it a "fresher" look. We have always recommended this stroller.

Tips BACKWARDS Too Easily
October 2, 2016
We received this as a gift at our baby shower. We just now started using it since our daughter is 8 months old and sits up on her own well. We didn't use it with the adapter we also got for it because it made the stroller so top heavy and it seemed very unstable. Now that we used it without the car seat, it tips over too easily when my daughter is in it and it semi-reclined. We didnt keep the box or receipt so we're now stuck with this stroller. I dont even use it because I dont trust that it wont tip backwards with my daughter in it. Since the back is just fabric she could hit her head on the cement if it tipped over and I wasnt near by to catch it. Such a waste of money! :(

September 23, 2016
I have to say my husband and I did a ton of research and ultimately chose city mini gt as our number one choice! Britex couldn't even come close in comparison (which was our initial first choice). Hands down the easiest stroller to pack up one handed. The pedicure break is an added bonus!!

  • Hude canopy
  • Good for longer babies
  • Nice rich color

Awesome city Mini GT
September 22, 2016
My husband and I checked out every stroller there is. We found th city mini GT and we were surprised how easy to maneuver the stroller and very easy to fold. What I looked for was something light weight and this definitely is pretty light. Car seat is pretty roomie for my growing baby and love the safety features. Great job baby jogger for making this stroller and car seat

Love the stroller!
September 20, 2016
We have owned several different types of strollers, many different brands and this one by far has been our favorite. The quick release fold and how compact it is when folded is really the best feature about this stroller. I love the ease of use when manuevering it with a child in it. We loved this stroller so much that we bought a second one when we had our second child, and our first one was way past its lifespan. (We damaged the front wheel by dropping it when getting it out of our truck so user error not manufacturer). I'm giving this stroller 4 stars simply because all the accessories have to be purchased separately which is really the only downside to this stroller. The basket is a decent size and the seat reclines to almost lay flat. I love the giant canopy to protect the little ones from the sun as well!

Love the stroller!
September 11, 2016
I bought this 1.5 yrs ago when son was born. We spent a lot of time researching and trying out strollers. City Mini GT is worth every penny. Comfortable for mom & baby, rides great, easy fold and unfold, fantastic quality. Love the multiple hood options. Basket below is not big enough for diaper bag, but I didn't buy it for the storage. We have traveled with it and used on all terrains with no issues. The only thing I wish would be reengineered are the buckles for child. Each buckle is a two peice operation and not quick and easy. The buckle system seems to be an after thought considering how great everything else is. But that doesn't make me like the stroller any less

Best stroller!
September 10, 2016
I bought this stroller for my son just after he was born (18 months ago!). What sold me on it was how EASY it is fold down. I tried others with friends and family, and this is the best you can get! You can do it with one hand. I wanted a stroller with 3 wheels, so it was easier to maneuver around, but didn't want the bulk of a jogger stroller or getting flat wheels. Love it to this day! With baby #2 on the way, I'm looking at getting the double stroller now - wouldn't even try another brand!

Amazing strokler
September 9, 2016
We bought this stroller in 2013 and have never once regretted it! The push is amazing and light and easy to steer even one handed. It was great from infant and still is roomy for my 3 year old. The basement underneath is big although the only downside of the stroller is that it is slightly hard to access to its full potential.

Easiest Fold Up!
September 8, 2016
I love this stroller! I really like the one-handed fold, I think that's the #1 feature. I also love how big the shade cover is and the seat recline feature. I got the black and it's really sleek and nice looking. I know it's not technically a jogging stroller but I have jogged with it a little on paved trails and it's a smooth ride!

Non-cumbersome workhorse!
September 8, 2016
We used the City Mini stroller with my first and second child and loved so many of its amazing features. Particularly the fold, that I could do with one hand! Love the huge canopy, the wheels are good quality and the ride is smooth. No frills, but it's a great every day stroller. Of course the way it is designed, there is no parent facing option - which was my biggest con with this stroller, I would have loved to see my baby, especially when younger. However the convenience and compact size of this stroller outweighed this con enough for me to really enjoy using it. My kids slept wonderfully in it, it was easy to wash, and it took well the years of rigorous use.

I've been using the City Mini every day for the last 4 months and so far so good! It moves easily over all the bumps and cracks in the city streets and the folding mechanism makes it easy to get it and my baby up a few stairs and out of or in to our apartment building. My favorite thing about it is it's compact size! So great for navigating crowded spaces and storing away. The only complaint I have is the storage basket underneath. It holds a lot more than it looks like it does, but it's difficult to get bigger items in or out of it. Overall we are loving the Ctiy Mini!

Going to buy a different stroller
August 12, 2016
Overall well designed and sturdy. The adjustable height of the handlebar is great. And of course, folding it up with only one hand is pure genius. However, I will be getting a new stroller for the following reasons: 1- The child cannot sit upright. The seat is at a constant 45 degree angle. Great for sleeping babies, bad for the curious toddler. 2- There is essentially no storage under the seat. I have a relatively small diaper bag with just the basics in it and I cannot fit it under the seat. This is a big enough headache that I cannot use this stroller anymore and am going to buy a different one. 3- The front wheel has started to come off quite easily when folded up in the trunk. Why, I don't know (this is with 6 months of use). 4- The seat itself does not breathe well. My daughter routinely gets sweaty on her back after sitting on the nylon seat. Sad. I had such high hopes for this stroller, as a dear friend recommended it. Hopefully, they will take this feedback and improve upon it.

TERRIBLE customer service & POOR QUALITY stroller
July 28, 2016
I recently bought the 2014 city mini stroller and had to return it because it wouldn't fold up. Although it was defective, the stroller was light and super sturdy. The store gave me the 2016 model as a replacement and I was thrilled. Unfortunately this 2016 is POOR quality compared to the older one. It is not as sturdy, it is heavier, and it rides rough! I tried to call the manufacturer to see if I could get the older model and customer service was rude and disrespectful insisting that I got the better stroller. Just because it's newer DoESNT make it better! Baby jogger is obviously cheaping out in its newer models. Stay away from this stroller.

I've had this stroller for almost a year, and I'm very happy with it! It handles really well, is a smooth ride, and is easy to use. Owned and used for five years with two kids
June 9, 2016
I am a full time stay at home mom and this stroller gets used nearly five days a week, and has been in use for almost five years. It has held up well considering. A year ago, the handle grip separated in two places on the sides, but still together in the middle where I grab it. I used the glider with my second child and it worked well with a three year age gap between my kids. It was a little difficult to take full length steps when using the board but overall I felt it suited our needs better than buying a double stroller that would be much wider, heavier, and only used for a few months as my oldest walks all the time with me now instead of needing a break intermittently. I've had the weather cover when I lived in the Pacific Northwest and that worked well. I added a drink console and that alleviated drinks and phones in the main pockets from spilling or getting ruined. It is difficult to get my purse in and out of the canopy underneath the stroller. I think the Britax has a better design for that purpose, but I don't know much else about that stroller. Overall, I highly recommend it and it has held up very well for being in heavy use for so many years.

Really wanted to love it, but it's not love
May 23, 2016
Like to stroller, wanted to love it due to all the great reviews it has obtained however I have some issues with the city mini. First I am not a fan that the seat does not go fully upright (my daughter loves to sit up all the way). Second not a fan of how the seat reclines or rather the mechanism used to make the seat recline. Once I recline the seat for my daughter to nap better putting it back up is such a hassle with a child on the seat. I need an extra hand to make sure the seat is all the way up, one to hold the seat up and 2 to pull the cord up. Truly hate this feature since I come from a stroller where just one hand was needed. and lastly accessing the basket. I do not expect a large basket but i would of liked to be able to access it easier when I have a large item to put in the basket.

Best stroller ever
May 12, 2016
It's light, smaller than our full size Britax B-ready(actually has a better push) larger than our little Chicco lightway umbrella stroller( my son was so uncomfortable in). Biggest canopy ever! Awesome one hand fold! It has a good size basket although my diaper bag fits it is a bit of a struggle shoving it in. Because of how close the seat is. Only con is I wish it had a parent cup holder and I am not a fan of strap reclines. All In all my son has a roomy seat with plenty of room to grow and I really like it a lot
Pros
  • Smooth one hand push
  • Extra large canopy
  • Easy one hand fold
  • Flat fold
  • Auto lock
Best Uses
  • Quick trips to store
  • Amusement parks
  • Everyday use
Cons
  • Strap recline
  • No cup holder
  • Hard to access basket
  • Velcro peek a boo windows are very noisy

Overall Assesment
May 6, 2016
I want to really like this stroller. It does a lot of right and I really hoped that the 2016 would fix these 2 x simple problems. 1st problem - This stroller tilts back pretty easily. If they can somehow adjust the wheels back a few inches it would be great. The 2nd problem that even the 2016 that this is not meant for some light jogging in a paved park. This should have been fixed as well. Remember, this is meant for the city, and cities have paved parks. I hope that the 2017 resolves these 2 issues.

Good stroller, but the storage basket too small
May 2, 2016
We got the teal version of this and I love the look of it and how it is lightweight and folds up so easily. However, as soon as I try to put my diaper bag in the storage basket I get so frustrated as it is so small and placed under the stroller in a way that it is really hard to access anything in there. We are going to return this stroller and fine one that has an easier basket to access which is too bad. The lip on the storage basket is also really shallow so blankets and things often fall out of it. If you have a tiny diaper bag this might work, but if you have a standard size diaper bag, cloth diapers, and any kind of blanket or jacket with you the small and hard to reach basket will frustrate you. My stroller caddy for our car seat by a different brand had much more space to bring things along for an outing and was so much easier to use.

I really liked it, but not sure what to do now that the front wheel no longer stays unlocked. It is very difficult to turn.

Best Everyday Stroller on the Market
April 26, 2016
I have owned this stroller for nearly 5 years and has been the only one I have needed to purchase! The stroller was used almost daily for the first three years and now maybe once or twice a week and still rolls and turns like new. I have only had one slight problem in the front wheel, but after contacting Baby Jogger I was able to replace it easily. The fabric on the stroller is very durable and when it begins to get dirty you can easily remove it and wash it. Our stroller has been through many trips on planes and over all sorts of terrain. I love the compact fold with the stroller and how it can easily be stored in my cars' trunk even after a shopping trip :) The strollers' seat is big enough to still comfortably fit my 5 year old and when the canopy is open it clears his head as well. I highly recommend this stroller to my friends that are looking for one. I feel like after nearly five years I can finally write a true review about how much I love Baby Jogger and this stroller. I have defiantly gotten my moneys worth with this amazing stroller and it is so easy to use!!!! Sad to see my son outgrowing it
